It had been just over a month since the wreck that had killed your parents ,
but you couldn't say you were recovering .
If anything ,
you've been sat alone curled in a ball in your bedroom ,
living off of ordered food ,
only leaving your bed when needed .
you weren't the best at self care before their death ,
and now that they're gone you failed miserably at self care .
Meals ?

you only remember getting a shower once you returned from the hospital ,

Tsukasa ,
your best friend and the boy you absolutely adored with all of your heart ,
had continually text you ,
offering on multiple occasions to come and help you at least tidy up
maybe get out of the house ,
which you blatantly refused ,
saying you needed alone time .
he understood ,
but continued to check in on you ,
stating he couldn't possibly bear to not know how his bestest friend (Y/N) is doing .
it honestly surprised you he still hung around with you .
after all ,
what was so special ?
you're just some plain ,
(H/C) haired ,
(E/C) eyed girl who just so happens to be in his class ,
and able to help with his ever falling grades .
if it wasn't for it being the summer holidays ,
you could almost guarantee your grades would be just as bad .
aside from helping him you had done nothing to continually gain his attention ,
and through that the rest of the schools attention .
wherever he was drama followed it seemed .
maybe it's just how loud he is ,
but honestly you couldn't complain ,
you loved him either way .

you struggled to admit it out loud ,
and so stuck to only thinking about it ,
but you love Tsukasa .
no matter how you try to convince yourself you don't ,
you fail the moment you think of how kind he is towards you ,
and how no matter how bad you feel ,
he could cheer you up with his almost chunibyou like behaviour .

that's just how things were .
but alas ,
you knew he wasn't interested in you ,
why would he be ?

( he talks about his troupe to you a lot ,
plus she breaks in on multiple occasions . )
and fuck he'd probably date Rui before you .
there's nothing interesting ,
nothing lovable about you .
it was with that thought that you finally resolved yourself to do it .

when you drew a blank for an answer you gave a small sigh .
of course there wasn't an answer .
you stand ,
pulling the duvet off of your frail form .
you only had a jumper covering you ,
not that it bothered you much .
you decided that beforehand ,
you'd text Tsukasa .
and so ,
you did .
"hey ,
I just wanted you to know I appreciate you .

before you sent it you paused ,
deleting the last part .
you didn't want to guilt him like that .
after your phone told you it was successfully sent ,
you place it down on the counter .
ignoring the noises it was now emitting ,
you made your way to the bathroom ,
grabbing the sleeping pills you were on .
they were meant to help you sleep ,
and in a sick way you guessed they would fulfil their purpose .
emptying the pills into a glass of coke ,
you let them dissolve before drinking the glass .
you simply had to hope it would be enough to kill .
if not ,
you had other ,
more certain methods of ending your life .
ah ,
but you shouldn't think on that now .
you could feel them taking effect ,
as the world spun in circles ,
turning fuzzy .
the last thing you recall is the ringing of your phone ,
distorted in your dazed state .
Tsukasa's pov
I know I should have more faith in (Y/N) ,
she's my best friend after all .
but her parents death . . .
it's really affected her .
she didn't even come to my latest show ,
and that's something she swore she'd never do .
and so ,
I was off to her place ,
constantly trying ,
praying for her to pick up the phone.
she didn't .
upon arriving ,
I didn't even knock ,
I just barged in .
yea it's wrong ,
but I didn't know what else to do ,
if she is injured she wouldn't answer the door ,
that's for sure .
I searched each room for her all of which seemed to lack recent usage ,
eventually coming to her bedroom .
the door was ajar .
hesitantly ,
I pushed it open .
what I saw caused my body to freeze ,
blood running cold ,
heart pounding in my ears .
there ,
in the middle of the room collapsed to the ground was (Y/N) .
her silky , (H/L) , (H/C) hair was messy ,
some falling across her sunken (S/C) face .
her usually bright (E/C) eyes were shut ,
some hair covering parts of them .
her soft , (L/C) lips were parted slightly .
she seemed skeletal ,
her skin clinging loosely to her skeleton and muscles .
there was little to nothing to her weight wise .
she only had a jumper to cover her ,
and although it wasn't very polite ,
I had to move her somewhere comfier than the hardwood floor .
and so ,
I lifted her ,
laying her down gently ,
cover her with the yellow star bedsheets .
I was surprised she'd kept them ,
they were a gift I'd given her awhile back .
I hope she gets through this .
I couldn't stand losing my best frie-

you slightly open your eyes ,
realising with sorrow it was not in fact enough to kill you .
your vision was blurred ,
but you could make out the shape of a person ?
the warmth in your hand indicated so .
they seemed to be crying .
odd .
you could hear them talk ,
and their voice made you realise it was Tsukasa .
"Please (Y/N) . . .
don't leave .
I need you .
how can I be the star of the future without you with me ?
I love you (Y/N) .
wake up please ,
I beg of you . "
his voice was broken ,
trembling with sorrow and fear .
all you could do was squeeze his hand ,
letting the tears slip from your eyes .
" . . . your awake ! "
you could just about make his face out ,
and he had a wide smile spread across it .
" I thought you'd left me ,
even though you hadn't gotten my permission to . "
he chuckles ,
kissing your tears away gently .
" I never thought I'd tell you this to your face (Y/N) ,
but I love you .
so don't go . "
you gave him a weak nod ,
face heated due to the sudden confession .
he smiles ,
gently lifting you so he can hug you .
placing a hand on the back of your head he kisses you ,
keeping it soft and sweet ,
as though you were a porcelain doll that could shatter at any moment .
it was as magical as you had thought it would be ,
even with your state .
but all good things must come to an end as he parts ,
elegant orange eyes locked with your hurt (E/C) own .
" I love you too Tsukasa . . . "
your voice sounded weaker than you felt ,
but by the blush on his cheeks you could tell he heard you .
with a quick ,
"I'll be right back"
he left you alone in your room ,
you pull yourself up ,
mulling over your thoughts .
he didn't give you much time ,
since he soon returns ,
with a simple plate of toast that was cut up into small bites .
" here ,
say ahh "
he sits by you ,
holding a piece .
your face flushed red ,
as you adamantly shake your head .
"please (Y/N) ?
for me ? "
you gave a small sigh ,
reluctantly letting him feed you the toast .
afterward he held a triumphant smile .
" I'm gonna help you get better . "

you tilt your head in confusion at his proclamation .
"that's what boyfriends do when their girlfriend is unwell isn't it ?
