"Well, let's go get some milk.." You said to yourself. You felt something in your pocket and took it out. It was... A mask. "Wow, 2020. What a year that was!" You thought. You smiled and took out your gas mask and shotgun to go kill some zombies.
Just as you were gonna head out the door, you heard gunshots and screaming, and you ran to your bedroom. You opened the door to find Oof, Muffin, and Nadwe standing there.
"Hi, Y/n! There were some zombies so Oof took out his shotgun while Muffin was screaming hysterically." Nadwe explained. "Anyway, yesterday you mentioned you were out of milk, so we decided to get it for you!" Muffin said. Oof took out a bag and tossed it to you. "We also got you some cookies and pizza." Oof said. "Omg, you guys are so nice!" You gushed. "No problem, you saved us from zombies and rogue half-zombie policemen last week, so this is a thank you gift!" Nadwe explained. "You guys didn't have to! Come inside, or the zombies are gonna get ya!" You joked. "AAAH!" Muffin screamed. He ran inside and took Oof and Nadwe with him.
"Wow, Muffin. Just WOW." Nadwe said, rolling his eyes. "Hmm, I kinda wanna go outside and kill some zombies.." You said. "Y/N! IT'S DANGEROUS! YOU YOUSELF COULD TURN INTO A ZOMBIE!" Muffin yelled. "But-" You started. "I hate to admit it, but Muffin's right. Y/n, it's REALLY dangerous. 2020 was WAY better than this. The one good thing about 2025 is that COVID doesn't exist. So, Y/n, I recommend you DON'T go out, and another thing-" Oof said. "Dude, shut up. She's gone." Nadwe said.
"Ohhhhh, here we go.." Muffin said. Oof, Nadwe, and Muffin grabbed their guns and headed out the door. They saw you fighting policeman zombies and lifeguard zombies. "Y/N! YOU'RE SO RECKLESS! GET BACK HERE! PLEASE!!" Nadwe yelled. "Are you kidding?! This is so exciting! I think I'm burning a few calories." You said.
"Y/N! A POLICE ZOMBIE! BEHIND YOU!" Muffin screamed. It was all a blur. You slowly turned around with a police zombie pointing a gun at you. You heard a gunshot.. But you were completely safe. Did someone shoot the policeman zombie...?
"AAAAAHHHHH!" You heard someone scream. But it wasn't Muffin this time. It was.. Nadwe...? What's going on? You slowly opened your eyes to find... OOF?! He was bleeding. Really bad. He.. Sacrificed himself. For you. "OOF! Y/N! NO!" Muffin screamed. You couldn't call for 911. They were always too busy fighting off zombies. Hospital? No way. Most of the doctors and nurses were zombies, and the ones that weren't zombies were either fighting off the doctor and nurse zombies or taking care of patients that were able to get help. There was no way for Oof to survive. Unless..
"Guys, I.. I'm sorry.. But we can help him right...?" You asked, desperate. Nadwe was furious. "Y/n! How could you do this?! You're an idiot! Maybe if you listened to us, Oof wouldn't be dead! This is all your fault! How could you possibly help him now?" Nadwe yelled. "M-Meme is a doctor.." You whispered. Nadwe laughed hysterically and started to yell, "MEME IS A FAKE! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?? I HATE YOU! MUFFIN! Let's go set up a funeral for Oof.. Y/n.."
You looked hopeful. "Yes, Nadwe?"
"You're NOT invited to his funeral." Nadwe said. "If I catch you there, you're done for." Muffin looked like he saw a ghost the second Nadwe said that. "MUFFIN! Come on! Call the rest of them. If they ask about Y/n, say she's a traitor." Nadwe said coldly. "N-Nadwe, please, let me explain-" You said.
"Y/n, shut up. It's your fault he's dead. I don't wanna see you, hear you, know you exist, share air with you, or know you. Goodbye. Forever." Nadwe said. Muffin looked back at you, and mouthed, "Sorry."
"MUFFIN! No talking to the traitor." Nadwe yelled. Tears started to run down your face. You felt a hand on your shoulder, and saw a lifeguard zombie. It could sense your pain. It took out a piece of paper and wrote something down.
"Im sory that happend. R u ok Sory i cant write wel. beig a zombee its difficelt." It was slightly hard to understand what the zombie was saying, but you understood. "I'm not really okay, it's just.. My friend.. Oh, EX-friend." You sighed and took something out of your pocket. It.. It was a picture of when you and Nadwe first met. You wiped your tears using the back of your hand and made a big decision. "I'm gonna get Nadwe back!" You promised to yourself. A policeman zombie came up to you but the lifeguard zombie punched him.
"D-Don't worry. I-I g-got you." The lifeguard zombie managed to say. "Thank you. What's your name?" You asked. "L-Lynn. Y/n, I-I got i-infected."
Your face fell and tears started to run down your face. You hugged Lynn. Tight. "Lynn, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.. I'm an idiot.. I should have known. You went missing 2 weeks ago. I'm sorry..." You said. Lynn hugged back and said, "N-No, Y/n. I-It was m-me. I-I got myself i-infected. N-Not your f-fault. I w-will protect y-you from z-zombies." You smiled.
"Let's go, Lynn! I'm getting Nadwe back!" You said confidently. Your phone twice, and you took it out to look at it. Two messages. One from Muffin, another one from Socks. You took a deep breath and opened Socks' message first.
"Y/n, how could you do this?? Oof is dead now, thanks to you. I can't believe you. I really hate you, you know? I hope I never see you again. Goodbye."
You started to cry again, but opened Muffin's message.
"Y/n, I know it was an accident. Oof thinks you're an amazing friend. You were so nice to all of us, and Nadwe is just overreacting. Don't worry, we're still best friends. I'm sorry if everyone else unfriends you. But I'm still here. :)"
You felt better as you read Muffin's message. But as soon as you got a text from Laff, your emotions were back to sad.
"Hey... Nadwe told me what happened. I miss Oof, and I'm sure you do too. Look, Nadwe said you're a cruel monster, but Oof was trying to save you. Why do you think he tried to save you? Because you're amazing! Don't worry, I'll try to pull some strings to get you to Oof's funeral. Stay strong, Y/n!"
"At least he didn't react that bad." You thought. "Oh.. A text from Blaza.. Please don't be bad.. Please..."
"Y/n... All I have to say is that the fact that Oof died is unfair. He's still young. But you are too. I guess.. I'm neutral? Don't worry, I'm still your friend. Not best friend, but friend. I hope that's okay with you."
"Not that bad. Maybe more people will say something later. For now, I'm getting my friends back!"
"Lynn, come on, let's go!" You said. "O-Okay." Lynn said. "Now, how to get a friend back? Be nice? No. Nadwe would just.. Ugh, I don't even know. Hmm, fight back? No. I would probably end up killing Nadwe. Hmm, maybe my negotiation skills will come in handy? Ugh, I don't even know! Lynn, do you have any ideas?" You asked. "U-Uh.. C-Crash the f-funeral?" Lynn suggested. "No, he would just kill me. Do you think Ally has an idea? She's still alive. Right?" You asked. "A-Ally hiding." Lynn answered. "Do you know where?" You asked. "Y-Yes. No Wi-Fi b-bunker underground." Lynn said. "Oh.. Well, looks like we can crash the funeral. It's a really bad plan, but, hey, it's all we got." You said.
You looked for Muffin. But you decided to text him. If you were gonna crash a funeral, you were gonna do it the easy way.
"Hey, Muffin. Can you meet me at my house?" You sent the message. You were thinking it was a horrible idea you were gonna disguise yourself as Muffin to get into the funeral, but you had no other choice.
When Muffin got to your house, you walked up to him and explained your plan. "Uhh, I don't know Y/n.. Well, maybe? What if Nadwe finds out?? You'll die!" Muffin said. "Muffin, I don't have a choice. Please?" You begged. "Well.... Okay... Be safe. I'll hide in your house.. WITH A ZOMBIE?!" Muffin screamed when he saw zombie Lynn. "NO! MUFFIN! CHILL! IT'S LYNN! CALM DOWN! PLEASE!" You screamed over Muffin. "You sure?" Muffin said. He looked suspiciously at zombie Lynn. "If you say so.." Muffin said.
"Yay! I'll go try to look like you." You said, running to your room.
~Five minutes later~
"Voila!" You said, proudly. "Damn, Y/n! You look amazing! Just like me. It's like I'm looking at a mirror." Muffin said. "Yeah, I know. I better get going now. Don't give Lynn any trouble, bye!!" You said, sprinting towards where the funeral was. But you slowly walked back. "Where's the funeral?" You asked. Muffin rolled his eyes and said, "The nearest funeral home." Muffin said rolling his eyes. "THANKS, BYE!" You yelled, sprinting like you saw a roach the size of a house.
When you finally made it to the funeral home, you saw Laff waiting outside. "Muffin! Finally! Everyone's waiting for you." Laff said, scolding you. "No time to explain, let's go!" You said, dragging Laff inside. "Muffin, why are you so la-" Socks tried to ask, but Laff said, "Apparently, no time to explain. Anyway, come on, Socks." Laff said.
"Funeral stuff. It's sad. This is all my fault. Definitely. Yeah. Ugh. Me and Nadwe would still be friends if I wasn't so reckless and stupid." You thought. "Me and Socks would still be friends. Me and Blaza would be best friends. Ugh... I hate myself.."
Tears started to roll down your cheeks, but you quickly wiped them away. Nadwe stared at you. Then, he walked over. "Muffin, you look a bit different.." Nadwe said. "OH! Uh.. I.. Wanted to.. Try a new look. Yeah. That's it." You said. "Okay, Muffin. Or should I say.. Y/N?" Nadwe yelled. "W-What are you talking about? I'm Muffin!" You lied. Nadwe glared at you and ripped off your wig. Your real hair emerged and everyone's eyes widened. "I should have known.. It didn't sound like Muffin." Socks said through his gritted teeth. "I-I can explain!" You said.
"I don't think there's anything to explain.. You were trying to murder the rest of us, right??" Nadwe yelled. "WHAT?! No! I love you guys! I would NEVER try to kill you guys if my LIFE depended on it." You said. "LIAR! I bet she's been trying to murder us since we first met!" Nadwe said. "I-I would never, ever do that!" You yelled. "Then why did you kill Oof??" Nadwe said.
"I didn't! He sacrificed himself for me! That just shows how amazing of a friend I am."
"Oh, sure you are! I bet he tripped!"
"You know very WELL I would die for you guys!"
"You know very WELL you weren't invited!"

"And how about what you said?? Apparently you're not like other girls! You know how to murder someone, make it look like an accident, cry at their funeral, have people feel sorry for you, and then get away with it!"
"Come on! That was a joke!"
"Well it's time to end this once and for all."

You swiftly took out your shotgun while Nadwe did the same.
"I bet you won't shoot. You'll have to face charges." You said smugly. "Aw, do you not remember? 911 is too busy fighting off zombies. If someone says a 20 year old killed a girl, they'll be too busy or they won't believe that criminally insane person." Nadwe said. "Not if they have video evidence! Laff, start recording!" You demanded. But Laff was in shock. He couldn't move. "Well, Y/n, it looks like it's the end of the road for you. It was lovely knowing you." Nadwe aimed, and the last thing you remember, was everyone screaming.
"Nadwe wins. You may take off your VR headsets."
"AW, COME ON! He was totally cheating!" You complained. "No! I won fair and square! But I wonder if 2025 will actually be that crazy. Hmm." Nadwe said. You and Nadwe argued all the way to the car. "Guys, Nadwe won. I can't believe he shot all of us.. Damn.." Laff said. "Okay fine. Nadwe won. But I'm sure I'll win next time! There's absolutely no doubt." You said. "Yeah.. Sure Y/n.." Meme said. "Bye, guys! I will win!!" You said as Socks dropped you off. "YEAH THERE'S A REALLY HIGH CHANCE YOU WILL!" Nadwe yelled sarcastically. You smiled to yourself and took off your mask.
