Izzy's POV
For the past 6 months I have been going and seeing Pop while he's in the hospital. Everyday he got worse and it killed me to see him like this. Right now me, Tabitha, Toni, dad, and Toni are here to say bye to Pop since he's running on his last breaths. I'm sitting in a chair next to him and holding his hand. Mary has tried to stop me to be here but I couldn't so Mary sent Toni and dad with me. The doctor is in the corner waiting to pull the plug. We haven't said a word since we walked into the room.
Doctor- He's hitting the end you can say anything before you know
Pop- Izzy stay true to yourself and be that serpent girl you always wanted
Izzy- I am
Pop- I know but keep fighting don't give up. Tabitha keep running the shop for me
Tabitha- I will
Pop- I love you girls. Can I get a last hug
I slowly got on the bed and just hugged him. I had to pull away though. I just held his hand and then I heard that annoying beep then the last breath as he squeezed my hand. I heard it flat line and his hand drop from mine. Hearing that just broke me to pieces and I felt someone pull me away. It was dad because he was fully picking me up. I just hugged him as we walked out of the hospital room. I had no idea where we are going but all I know is I just want to be with dad. Next thing I know is I'm laying in my bed crying. Toni gets into bed with me as dad walks away.
Toni- Izzy why don't you stay home today
Izzy- No
Toni- I'm not asking Iz
Izzy- No there's so much I need to do
Toni- No you don't I handled it last night with James. Stay home and get some rest but your not working at all tonight
Izzy- Can I still go
Toni- Its up to your dad but I'll mention it to him. I will run the bar until you feel up for it okay but take time to get better
Izzy- Wait Toni
Toni- Yeah
Izzy- Can you take me to Mary's
Toni- Yeah sure I'll let your dad know
I grabbed my squish mellow and walked to Toni's bike. Soon they both came out.
Sweet Pea- I have things to do with your mom but don't hesitate to call me okay

Sweet Pea- Hey watch it you may be having the shittiest day in your life in a few years but watch it

I pulled out my phone and showed him how he used to act.

She jumped on and we drove to Mary's house. She knew it was going to be today so when she heard a bike she came walking out. Seeing Mary just made me start crying again. I got off and walked to her.
Mary- Izzy this isn't fair for you or Tabitha
Toni- I'm going to the Whyte Wyrm and she wants to go to the bar to be there but make sure Sweet Pea is fine with it
Mary- I will. Thank you Toni
She drove off and we walked inside. Noella saw my state when she was messing around with John. They both stopped and hugged me.
John- Hey at least you got to say goodbye and we knew this was going to happen

Izzy- Distraction right. For the 12 years we were locked up in the basement of the Wyrm I was his damn guinea pig. I would sing the most sexual songs that I want to faint or puke when I hear them now because they make me sick or I have to try act all lovey dovey with him

Mary- So with Ella he didn't like
Izzy- No there would be times now that I think of it every time we were together she would hit on me knowing I was gay but I'm like Noah you know I'm gay right I don't date guys or ever will

Izzy- Because you looked like a girl your whole life anyways the serpents meaning Tall Boy would try to help me escape but never worked because Kurtz always found out. He forced Chloe to tell them. Well one time it was grandpa. I guess he made a deal that if Kurtz tries to kill him and he's still alive we have to make it believable. I had no idea about this. When he would find out I had to try and banish them but he didn't make me because Kurtz didn't know that he already showed up. When I was set to the basement he came running after me. He was so damn close to getting me out. John was his right hand man and was forced to do things even when he didn't want to. So John had to hold me back acting like didn't give a shit
Mary- Held her back

Izzy- Tell me about it. So Kurtz did his stupid thing and then he shot him right in front of me. He actually was shot and needed medical attention. I actually believed the whole plan so when we got out we had a funeral and everything. Then he eventually came out of hiding
Mary- Wow so this is your first real death
Izzy- Yep
Mary- I have one question though. Malachi he's a Ghoulie why are you not scared of him
Izzy- I never actually saw him. When the whole damn game swept the Ghoulies away he went into hiding. He's still an enemy to the serpents but he has helped me before

John- So were by Sweet Water River for some thing that Kurtz put on. Izzy wasn't putting up with anything because she was done. Malachi happened to be at the river that day heard Izzy screaming. Kurtz had Izzy hanging on a cliff about to kill her because she almost killed him. He heard and ran over knowing who it was because that was his gang before Penny took over then Kurtz
Mary- Wait near the edge or hanging
Izzy- Hanging that was the first time I realized I wanted him to actually to do it but it was scary
John- Me and Noella couldn't do anything just watch. Malachi knocked Kurtz out and helped her up
Izzy- He told look serpent princess if I was running the Ghoulies this would have never happened since she was only 13 at the time. We think he had a bit of a soft side for Izzy. It is why he never lays a hand on me because he has watched Kurtz do horrible things to me
Mary- Wow okay lets talk about something else
Izzy- Like what I can't think unicorns and rainbows right now
Mary- Okay I'm going to act like that conversation never happened
Izzy- Not talking about what happened again

I walked to Noella's room and just laid next to her. She was playing with my hair as I laid next to her. I didn't talk our anything just sat in the silence. I eventually pulled out my phone and looked at all the memories that I have.
Noella- You really want to be at the Wyrm don't you
Izzy- Yeah but everything has to go through my dad
Noella- Well sneak out with me and we will go for a walk
We snuck out and walked to sweet water river. We walked along the river and just walked. We eventually ran into the quarry and we stopped to put our feet in.
Izzy- There's probably a search party for me now
Noella- Wouldn't be surprised
Izzy- You know have you wanted to actually swim in the river
Noella- Yeah
Izzy- It has always been a dream of mine but because of the current we can't
Noella- Well just jump in right here
I took my phone out and jumped in floating on my back. It just was the most relaxing thing and it was so nice to get everything off my chest until I heard screaming towards us. Noella jumped in and pushed me up.
Izzy- Who was that

He put his arms out and I went over to him. He picked me up like a child but I didn't care since I really couldn't get out. He then put his jacket over me.
Izzy- Continue
Sweet Pea- You were supposed to be with Mary not running off
Izzy- Dad I needed to leave

Sweet Pea- But you don't have any of your art supplies
Izzy- Because its at home plus that float was nice. Did you bring everyone
Sweet Pea- No just myself because it didn't take Mary long to know you were gone.

Izzy- Home but I don't need everyone on my ass for one thing that happened today
*Jumping to the funeral*
I woke up extra early for the funeral because I was like family to Pop and I get to sit with the family. Dad and everyone else has to sit in the general seating since they could only squeeze me in. All of Riverdale is going to this so its gonna take a minute.
Sweet Pea- Izzy Tabitha is here
Izzy- Okay tell her I'll be out in a second I can't get my earrings in
Jinjara- Here hand then over. There you go sweetheart
Izzy- Thanks mom. I'll see you both there
I ran out before they could say bye. Tabitha had a small coffee for me and I drank it pretty fast because I was still an emotional reck that I couldn't even think lead the serpents. We walked in and seeing Pop like that made me cry. We had our moment then the first people came in. We were hugging everyone and telling them thanks for coming. I was crying a lot but I was quietly crying.
Chloe- Oh honey. I know you really hate me right now but oh
I just hugged her and broke down more. No matter how mad I am at her I'm happy she came today.
Chloe- Let me know if you need anything alright
Izzy- Thanks
Tabitha gave me some tissues and I slightly dabbed my face since I had makeup that I am trying to keep on.
Oliver- Izzy
Izzy- Thanks for coming Oliver
Oliver- Of course
Eventually I got to more of my family members. Mary was first and she just held me so tight that I didn't want to let go. Dad came over and rubbed my back. They didn't say anything because I told not have them say anything. Eventually after 2 hours we were going to the main ceremony. I finally let it out when we were walking to our seats and Tabitha hugged me. I just held her hand when we sat down. I had to pull myself together because I was requested to sing.
Tabitha- Thank you all once again for coming. To start off a family member not by blood but by heart Izzy is going to start us off with a song joined with Noella and John
I stood up and walked up on the stage. I didn't talk I just stood at the mic looking at my feet as John started the song. When I started to sing I had to close my eyes. I was crying but it wasn't my singing. A slideshow of all the pictures with Pop was showing and it made everyone cry. After I was done I had to do a speech. I walked to the podium and prepared for me to speak.
Izzy- If I'm being completely honest I didn't know what to even say or write for this. I spent the whole 6 months trying to come up with something that I am going to stay.I never actually never came up with something so please bare with me here. The most loved person at Riverdale Pop Tate. Pop was always so welcoming to everyone made them feel welcomed even we they were the worst person alive. I've known Pop since I was 2 days old. He was like another grandpa to me by heart. He always came done and brought me food when you would find the serpents under pops for 7 years until we relocated to the Southside again. 12 years out of my life were ripped away from me do one person an if you know you know but when I came back Pop so happy to see me again even if he was retired. I met his wonderful granddaughter Tabitha Tate who is like a best friend to me. I can't see myself not having a Tate in my life. They are so kind and so welcoming to everyone. In honor of Pop Tate mayor Lodge and I are going to hold a Pop Tate day where we honor him. It's not going to be a general Pickens holiday it's just going to be a special day and Pop's. We will always love you Pop and it kills me that I only got a year with since I got back. We were so close to my 2 year mark of me being back home but every story has to end.
After I did that speech I saw some people shift when I said every story has to end. I looked up and I wasn't surprised who it was exactly. I pretty much blacked out the rest of the funeral until Tabitha put her hand on my shoulder. It was time to walk out and I didn't feel like myself as I was walking myself. When we went to the cemetery the cold breeze hit me and I shivered but I didn't care. I was sitting on the seat waiting for the cold air to do something until I felt a jacket come over me. I looked to see who it was and it was dad. He had taken off his jacket and put it on me. After the whole thing I walked off to be alone and process everything. I made my way over to sweet water river and sat down on the rocks.
Sweet Pea- Izzy
He scared me that I hit my head on a tree.
Izzy- Jesus dad
Sweet Pea- There you are. What are you doing out here
Izzy- I had to get away for a minute
Sweet Pea- Lets head home everyone is already back home
Izzy- Can we just skip home all the serpents are going to be at the Wyrm and I haven't been there in 6 months
Sweet Pea- Alright fine
I got up and dad wrapped his arm around me. He had his bike so we got there a bit quicker.
Betty- Izzy hey
Izzy- Betty what are you doing here
Betty- I came to talk to Jughead
Izzy- What about
Betty- Us
Izzy- Are you getting back with my uncle like how Choni and Kangs became a thing again
Jughead- What are you doing
Izzy- Going inside
Jughead- Izzy Eve Connor

Izzy- Dad not helping

I walked off and I did start to cry but as I got to my office I have to suck it up.

Olivia- No even Noella has came up to me on multiple occasions

I ran out and ran past dad. Oliver I guess heard and told dad since is eyes widened. I was gone before he could catch me. I ran to the Pembroke and knocked on Veronica's door.
Hermione- Izzy
Izzy- Can I come in
Hermione- Yeah of course
Veronica- Izzy I didn't remember having you down for anything
Izzy- No can I just stay here for a while
Veronica- Of course whats going on
Izzy- Olivia and just about Pop
Veronica- I'm sorry. Can I get you anything

Veronica- Izzy I know you haven't had anything

She made it really quick and then I drank it as we talked. I all the sudden felt sleepy.
Izzy- Veronica did you put something in this
Veronica- My mom just told me what you said to Olivia and your dad is ripping Riverdale apart. Don't fight it hun just give in you need rest. Someone will be here to pick you up
Izzy- Veronica
Veronica- Hey its okay
She came over and pulled me to her as she just told me to give in.
*2 hours later*
I woke up in a bed and I sat up feeling a bit light headed. I looked around and I didn't recognize where I was. Then the door opened and the bed dipped.
Fangs- Izzy
Izzy- Where am I
Fangs- Yours still at Veronica's this is her room

Izzy- Damn it. Fangs I didn't actually mean it, I was just mad that Olivia was trying to become friends with me that it just came out

Izzy- Then lets go to a house and make something hell order something else
I got up and was about to leave when Fangs grabbed me.

Dad then came in giving mea look. I plopped onto the bed and refused to look at Fangs.

I was in the window going to climb down. The processed what I was doing and I was already climbing down. I walked back inside and back up to the room.
Veronica- How did you
Sweet Pea & Fangs-IZZY
Izzy- I want food for crying out loud

Izzy- Fine I'll just go play G&G then with the drug
They both yelled at me and I walked to the kitchen to get food. As I was eating my phone blew up and then I got a call.
Izzy- Hello
Noella- Where the hell are you
Izzy- Veronica's why
Noella- When are you going to be back
Izzy- No clue why

Noella- The dogs went missing

I jumped up so fast that I dropped the glass plate. I ran out and ran all the way to my house.

Next thing I hear everyone pulling up and the dogs were walking right there. When they saw me they ran over to me and I just gave them loves.
Izzy- Actually look next time

Izzy- No I'm not mad it scared me because I don't need a missing dogs poster up in Riverdale
Noella- Okay I was going to make some food

I walked into my room and just laid on my bed relaxing. I closed my eyes for a second and I guess I was tired because I was almost was asleep when I heard running. I then heard Noella scream. It scared the absolute shit out of me.
Izzy-WHAT WHAT
Noella- I thought you were dead
Izzy- Why the hell would I be dead I was about to fall asleep. You can't scare me awake like that now I'm all shaky

I got the food she made and talked to Mary about everything.

Izzy- Probably but if she is trying to be better its going to a long ass process

Dad walked in and leaned against the wall.

She walked out and I heard her talking to dad.

Dad then walked off and I was pushed to my bed. I just laughed and waited for her. She threw a bag next them.

I sat up more and I almost fell off the bed when I saw what was in it.

I walked to the front door and put it on. I walked back to my bedroom almost tripping on Billie. I did step on her paw.

Then we got started and took it to the next level. Eventually after 2 hours we were both tired. After we finished dad had just walked in the house.

Izzy- Ummmm shit get everything in the bag hide it in the closet and act like we were dancing around or something. I'm going to shower

I took a quick shower and I heard talking. I threw on my robe and stepped out to see who it was.

Izzy- What you guys talking about
Noella- Nothing really catching up
Izzy- Okay that's the biggest fucking lie ever but I am going with it. Give me a sec
I got into my pjs real quick and walked out.
Sweet Pea- So what did you girls do

Ella winked at me and I almost choked on my water.

We walked to my room like nothing and then we started to freak.

I shoved her clothes in the bag and then dad cam into the room. He started to look at everything and then found the bag. He gave us a look and opened it.
Sweet Pea- Yeah real sneaky you are

Izzy- Just Ella's clothes

He held up handcuffs and we looked at each other. We then ran out and laughed.
Noella- You are so dead Eve
Mary- Also you never call her Eve unless you've done each other dirty
Izzy- Fuck
Jinjara- Jordan, Mary let it go its young love
Izzy- Well I'm pooped I'm going to bed. Want to stay here or going home
Noella- I'll stay
I smiled and walked to my bedroom. I turned off the lights and got into bed. Ella came in a few minutes after me. We just went straight to bed when she came in.
