Here's another chapter for you guys. I apologize for not updating for quite a while I have school so that explains basically everything. Anyways...

It's the next day, I managed to get enough money and got myself a bag. I went over to the shop I... acquired my equipment at. Entering the store, I see the person working at the counter was looking at me suspiciously.
I continued my way and looked around the store for a bag. There were some satchels resting on a shelf, they seemed good enough so I took one and went over to the counter.
"So, how much is this bag."
"Mmm, two silvers"
"Perfect." I said as I took my money out of my bag. She takes the coins and I was about to take the bag and leave when she asked
"I've been thinking we recently lost a cloak, a pair of boot and gloves and you, someone I haven't seen before, apparently have exactly those specific things on you right now. You wouldn't happen to be the one who stole them would you, just a thought."
'Ah I see... uuuhhh quick think oh an excuse'
"Uuhm, no I came from outside the city. I had no idea that your store was robbed but how strange to only take those, ehehe." I told her
"Well ok then." she replies as I discreetly power walk with my bag towards the door
'That was stressful', after acquiring my bag I put a curse that makes whatever is inside heavier than it should be, so that I can touch it. I equip it and proceed to go to the guild to get some more money.
I enter the guild building and I see Philrei, who just noticed me waving from the quest board. I walk over to him.
"Are you ready to do our first quest together." he says
"Yeah, I'm fine. So, what quest are we doing exactly." I asked
"Um, I'm not sure. I haven't chosen one yet."
"Then let's choose one together, better than only one of us choosing for the both of us."
We look over the board and see what kind of quest we could do. Both of us were considering doing a escorting quest but it's a bit too difficult for beginners. Philrei picked up a monster material gathering quest, it looked good enough so we went over to the counter to get assigned.
"Hm, are you to doing this as a party?"
"Yeah, we decided to work together."
"Well, it's better to cooperate with other adventurers than working alone so that's good. I'll just sort out some stuff and you will be assigned to this request."
After that, we were gonna set off but after looking at what we needed we decided to do some research first. The request was to gather about 4 Celka turtle shells and leather, both of us didn't know where to find them so we went up to the library on the third floor to see if we can find any information.
I looked for the monster guide book again, Philrei managed to find it and we both tried to find info on this Celka turtle. Some time later, we managed to come across some useful knowledge about this monster. It prefers to live in muddy or rocky terrain, like mountains or wetlands. The turtle excluding it's shell is very durable, thanks to this fact it got it's name. Apparently, the word "Celka" in this world is another word for petrified.
The closest place which fits the description of their habitat is south of the city according to a map of the locations of their habitats.
"Alright, let's go." I said
"Wait, um.... ah I forgot to ask your name the first time we met." Philrei stated
"Huh...? Oh yeah, I didn't tell you my name did I. Well, it's Akane."
"Right, Akane, we need to prepare supplies before we go shouldn't we?"
"(Ah, I forgot that people needed supplies when going on trips.) Oh... uhh.. I already got some stuff ready so I didn't realize you still needed to prepare."
"That's fine, I should get going and get my preparations done."
Just like that, he ran down the stairs and so I waited for the next day. While waiting for him i wanted to try to do another quest in the meantime. I went down to the first floor and quickly looked at some quests.
I took a herb gathering quest and took it to the counter
"Hm, aren't you supposed to be with Philrei." the receptionist asked
"He had to get ready before going, I'm thinking of doing a quest while I wait." I replied
"I see. You can't really take multiple requests at the same time but since you are waiting for him and so far your completion speed is rather quick so I guess you could be allowed. I'll have to check on something first before I approve you.
Can I see the quest you want to do first."
"Oh ok" I handed the flyer over to her and she went to the back
After waiting for a while, she came back and approved my assignment. I went out to collect herbs and came back soon after. The location to submit the herbs was the Reik Pharmacy. I entered the store and at the counter, he was resting in his chair face down on the counter. He still looks tired like how he was a few days ago.
"Hi again."
"Hm? Oh it's you." he says as he slowly stands up from the counter, "Place the herbs on the counter and I'll get the payment."
"Here's your payment. Seems like the herbs are in better condition than last time"
"Yeah ehehehe... hm, I have just been assuming so far but are you the owner of this store?"
"Yes. I am Lawrence Reik, owner of this pharmacy. You can go now or you can buy some potions." he confirmed
"Actually, what exactly do you sell here?"
"I sell potion and a variety of materials. Potions like healing potions, rejuvenation potions, endurance enhancing potions, mana restoration potions and so on. When talking about the materials I sell, they can be used for a lot of things. To give a simple example... you can use some basilisk scale to make a long term and strong protection spell or something along the lines of that."
"Hm, how much are the mana restoration potions?"
"6 silvers."
"Oh, I don't have that money so maybe another time." I said as I waved and exited the store
I walked to the around to wait for Philrei to come back with his preparations. The next day, Philrei finally showed up at the guild with large bag on his back. It seemed to be packed full of stuff.
"I'm guessing you're finished with your preparations, so ready to head out now."
"Yeah, let's go. Sorry to make you wait for me." He said
"Don't worry, I'm used to waiting for long periods of time and I did another quest while waiting for you. So, I had something to do in the meantime."
"That's good to know. Now, let's get going."
We both head out the guild and then out the city, going towards the south. In my opinion, it was really slow, mostly because I travel faster than this but I can't really do that since I'm with Philrei.
"How long is it gonna take to get there on foot?" I asked him
"Mmm, I would say about until tomorrow morning at the earliest. Oh, I have and idea." he said
"What is it?"
"Why don't we look at each other adventurer cards while we travel to get an idea what the other can do." he suggested
"Sure" I gave him my card and he gave me his card

"If I remember correctly you just tap the card with a bit of magic and the card will change."
I did what he said and the card changed from displaying his name and level to displaying his skills

"You sure know a lot of magic. That's the most types of magic I've seen someone have so far, though I haven't been in the adventurers business for long nor do I know a lot about magic." he said
"I guess you could say that. So, where did you learn to fight anyway."
"I learned from my father. He's a simple guard at the city so I asked him to teach me a bit on how to fight and defend myself. He agreed saying it'll be good if I learned at least some basic self defense and fighting techniques.
What about you?"
"Uhhhh.. hm (God, how do I explain this.)...uhmm, it's a bit complicated to explain. Closest thing I can say to a proper answer is that I'm self taught."
"Really?! huh, so you taught yourself magic. Well, no need to get into it. Let's continue."
"Yeah let's just get going."
