Luella and Alejo remained sat outside as they both looked up at the sky "Do you see your daddy?" Luella asked facing Alejo who was distracted by his hoodie strings
Alejo frowned and shook his head "Dad lives with his wife not too far, but he doesn't wanna see us" he explained
Luella looked down "Oh"
Alejo nodded "Yeah" he mumbled "It's fine I have mum, even though she works a lot"
Luella scrunched her nose in confusion "Who looks after you then?"
"Usually Aaron and his wife,"
"Oh, Aaron seems like lots of fun"
Alejo smiled "He's so much fun, he does anything to make us happy since we can't see mum"
Luella smiled knowing he was happy
"Let's go inside" Alejo stood up and wiped his joggers to get off stains of grass but after several attempts, those stains were there "Never mind" he muttered
Luella got up and straightened her dress and looked down to check for any stains and for her luck they were clean
The two kids headed inside together. Alejo went and sat back down in his seat while Luella walked over to the side of the room where her drawing from last week for Adriel was
she picked her drawing up and smiled "He's gonna like it" she smiled
Alejo looked over at his sister who was very much bored out of her mind "Ada!" he yelled out causing the majority of the class to look at him
Ada knew Alejo tried saving her and used him as an excuse "My brother is calling me" she got up, innocently smiled at Mikaela and then laughed once she turned around
She walked up to her brother and hugged him "Thank you"
Alejo patted her back "Your welcome I guess?" Ada pulled away and pulled a strand of his hair

Luella rushed into the house, her heart pounding with excitement, eager to show her latest painting to Adriel. Bursting through the door, she called out his name, expecting to find him lounging on the couch or in his office doing some sort of paperwork "Adriel!" Luella yelled taking off her sandals and placing them on the side before running inside. She looked around but never saw him
A frown took over her face. She looked over at Xavier who shut the door "Where is he?" she asked with glossy eyes
Xavier looked around and then looked at his sister "I don't think he's home" he said
Luella's shoulders dropped "Oh" she didn't want to make it obvious that it hurt "I'm going upstairs," she said placing her drawing on the coffee table then heading upstairs to her room
Xavier watched his sister "Fucks sake" he mumbled. Xavier let out a sigh and walked over to pick up the paper from the table. It was a drawing of what was meant to be the 4 of them all together
He heard the door close shut upstairs knowing his sister was trying her best not to show her dejection
Xavier placed his keys down and walked upstairs to check his sister. He carefully opened the door and saw Luella changing into her joggers with a sullen look on her face
"Luella?" Xavier spoke up causing his sister to face him. She looked and gave a fake smile
"You okay?" he asked knowing damn well she wasn't okay.
Luella nodded "Yep"
Xavier looked at her for a moment and nodded "I'm gonna order those nuggets I promise you some time ago"
Luella nodded once again "'Kay"
Xavier walked over to her and kissed her head "Change and come downstairs" He left the room and went downstairs to order the food he promised his sister
"Xavier?" Luella spoke up climbing onto his lap. Xavier put his hands around her waist "Yes?"
"Where is he?"
Xavier pulled his lips into a thin line not knowing what to even say since he had to clue either "I don't know, baby"
Luella nodded slightly "How about we call him" Xavier suggested
Luella shook her head "It's fine, he's probably busy"
Xavier stroked his sister's hair and placed a lingering kiss on her head "I love you" he mumbled
"Love you too" she turned around and hugged her brother

Xavier was sat on the couch with his sister's head on his lap. She was stuffed after all that food she had eaten
"I'm gonna pop" She groaned rubbing her belly also letting out a yawn
"You tired?" Xavier asked
Luella nodded "I had a bit of fun at school which made me tired"
"Why a bit?"
Luella moved her focus back on the tv. Xavier was confused "What happened at school?"
"Just a meanie" Luella openly said
"Who?" Xavier questioned
"A girl called Mikaela, no one likes her. She's really mean and talks a lot"
Xavier knew that name "She's in your class right?" Luella nodded
Alejo always complained to him about this Mikaela girl. She had a crush on Alejo at one point ran away from her or something when she came up to him for a hug. Xavier was practically crying from laughter
"She's not really nice to anyone" Luella pouted
"Screw them, she's probably just jealous of you or something" Xavier acknowledged
"Maybe" Luella shrugged "I'm tired"
"You can sleep," he told his sister
Luella shut her eyes and held her brother's hand for comfort. Xavier allowed his sister to sleep, occasionally rubbing her back.
Xander had messaged Xavier reminding him he's out of the country for 3 days however Adriel was still silent
It was now 2 am and the door unlocked. Xavier turned around and saw Adriel walk inside
"Where were you?" he said not too loud in case his sister woke up
"Nowhere," he said putting his coat away
Xavier got up and picked up his sister tucking her into bed carefully. Placing a kiss on her head he left the room and headed down "She waited for you all day"
Adriel looked at his younger brother and raised a brow but kept quiet
"Are you drunk?" Xavier asked
Adriel clicked his tongue "Nope"
Xavier looked at him in disbelief "She tried to stay up for you but no, you decide to get your ass drunk. She came home yelling for you to hand over the drawing she made for you and was waiting to hand over all week"
Adriel had enough "I fucking saw him!" he erupted
Xavier paused "What?"
Adriel's nose flared "He's fucking back. I saw him but he never saw me"
Xavier licked his lips "What the fuck" he muttered running a hand through his hair from stress
"I don't know why he's back. He's probably up to something" Adriel confessed
Xavier glanced at his brother for a moment then headed back upstairs.
Adriel was stressed out of his mind. He was lost.
He grabbed a glass from the coffee table and threw it at the wall then stumbled back onto the couch
"Fucks sake!" he yelled
