Straight roads are for fast cars,
turns are for fast drivers.

"If you want it this way, baby girl, it's on," the tattooed guy smirked, his confidence unwavering, before he walked away. Ignoring his arrogant demeanor, I focused on the task at hand. Getting into the car, I carefully inspected its features, aware that it was different from the cars I was accustomed to. Once I familiarized myself with every detail, I drove toward the starting line, adrenaline coursing through my veins.

As I reached the start line, a sleek Ferrari pulled up beside me, catching my attention. The sight of the formidable competition only fueled my determination. It was clear that this race was going to be intense and thrilling.

With a firm grip on the steering wheel, I disregarded the presence of the tattooed guy next to me and focused solely on the race ahead. As the sister stood in front of us, holding a white cloth high in the air, my eyes narrowed in concentration. I pressed down on the accelerator and brake simultaneously, a technique I had mastered over time.

My mind was resolute, even if I were to lose the race today, he would never truly be able to claim victory over me. He didn't know who I was, and that fact gave me a sense of satisfaction. However, I had no intention of letting him win easily. I was determined to give it my all and prove my skills on the track.

I can do this!

As the white cloth dropped, signaling the start of the race, I unleashed the full power of my car, zooming past the sister who had initiated the race. The odometer climbed rapidly as I maintained my focus on the road ahead and the Ferrari beside me. I was well aware of the risks of allowing the Ferrari to come too close, as there was a chance of encountering dirty tactics from my opponent. Therefore, my strategy was to maintain distance and prevent any potential interference.

However, at a strategic moment, I decided to change tactics. I approached the Ferrari, giving my opponent a false sense of opportunity to overtake me. But just as he closed in, I swiftly pressed the accelerator and maneuvered my car to position myself directly in front of him. This forced him to hit the brakes, creating a gap between us. With a smirk of satisfaction, I continued to press the accelerator, swiftly pulling away from him and increasing the distance between us.

It was a move that showcased my strategic thinking and control over the race. I was determined to stay ahead and show my adversary that I was not to be underestimated.

As the race approached its final lap, I noticed the Ferrari closing in on me from behind. My determination grew stronger, and I was adamant about keeping him in my rearview mirror. With the finish line in sight, I focused on maintaining my lead and pushing my car to its limits.

I glanced back one last time to check the Ferrari's position, a grin forming on my face. I had no intention of letting him pass me. With a surge of adrenaline, I crossed the finish line, victorious. The thrill of the win coursed through my veins, filling me with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

I had proven my skills on the track and shown that I could overcome any challenges that came my way. Crossing the finish line first was a testament to my determination and passion for racing.

It feels so good to race after so long.

As I approached the brother, confidently twirling the car keys around my index finger, I couldn't resist taunting him about his loss in the race and his failure to win me over.

"Aw, I feel sad for you. Not only did you lose the race, but you also lost this little thing," I smirked, my words dripping with sarcasm.

However, before I could revel in my victory, I felt someone's grip tighten around my waist from behind. Reacting instinctively, I swiftly elbowed the person, then turned and delivered a swift kick. It turned out to be one of the brother's lackeys, attempting to ambush me.

The brother, undeterred, attempted to punch me, but I evaded his attack by leaning back. In one fluid motion, I caught his fist in my hand and retaliated with a well-placed kick, effectively incapacitating him.

I should have known that he will play dirty.

As someone forcefully yanked off my wig, my blonde hair flowed freely, revealing my true appearance. The crowd around us gasped in surprise as they witnessed the transformation. There was no point in hiding it any longer.

With a calm demeanor, I removed my lip ring as well, fully embracing my authentic self. Harry and Kayden joined me, standing by my side after successfully fending off the others who had attempted to intervene. Their disguises remained intact, their true identities concealed.

The tattooed guy sneered, commenting on my new appearance. But I remained unfazed, a confident smirk playing on my lips.

"I'm glad you still don't know who I am," I retorted, folding my arms across my chest. "Once you find out, you'll beg for mercy. You have no idea what you're dealing with."

My words hung in the air, a warning to those who dared to challenge me. I stood tall, fully prepared to unleash the full force of my capabilities if necessary.

A frown creased his face as the lackey whispered something into his ear. It became evident that the lackey recognized me, but the tattooed guy remained oblivious to my identity. It was indeed a shame, for he had no idea who he was dealing with.

"Now that you know who I am," I interrupted the lackey, asserting myself, "I suggest you leave before you regret associating with me any further."

However, the tattooed guy's grin only grew wider, fueled by his delusion of using my name to his advantage. He proposed a plan to exploit my reputation, threatening to inform the media of my presence at an illegal racing track. "I don't think so. I should use The Skylar Scott to my advantage," he grins, "how about I tell media that you were here. In an illegal racing track."

"Try it," I sneered, my confidence radiating through my words. "Go ahead and attempt to expose the racing track. But be prepared for the consequences. Remember, I am The Skylar Scott, a force to be reckoned with. I fear nothing because no one is capable of bringing me down."

A victorious laugh escaped my lips as I watched his face pale, the realization of his futile efforts sinking in. I took a step closer, closing the distance between us, and leaned in, my voice dripping with dominance.

"What can a little thing like you possibly do?" I taunted, my eyes piercing into his. "I am beyond your reach, and your feeble attempts to use my name against me will only backfire. You underestimate me, and that will be your downfall."

"I guarantee you that if I ever come across any media associated with this race, your downfall will be inevitable, and your feeble gang will crumble alongside you," I chuckled darkly. With an air of confidence, I added, "Now, I suggest you make yourself scarce."

As I spoke, they swiftly retreated, stealing fearful glances in my direction. I stood tall, arms crossed over my chest, with Kayden positioned to my right and Harry at my left, serving as a silent testament to the power by my side.

"Damn it, Oli! I just bought you, and now you're already getting yourself into trouble," scolded Kayden, clearly exasperated by my actions.

"Yeah, seriously? You're risking ending up in the headlines tomorrow," added Harry, shaking his head in disbelief.

I shrugged nonchalantly, radiating confidence. "No worries. Even if I were to be in the news, it wouldn't bother me. Besides, mark my words, this racing ground will be shut down soon," I stated assuredly. "Anyway, let's leave this place now."

We turned our backs on the scene, ready to depart with an air of defiance, determined to face whatever consequences lay ahead.

"Hey!" I greeted Astrid with a warm hug, followed by a hug for Theo. Just as Scout came bounding toward them, I scooped him up in my arms, preventing him from jumping on the couple. "Guys, meet Scout," I introduced, a smile spreading across my face.

"Oh my goodness, he's absolutely adorable!" Astrid exclaimed, her eyes filled with delight as Scout curiously sniffed her. "And those blue eyes! They're so rare."

"Yeah, I know. It's quite uncommon," I replied, proud of Scout's unique features. I handed Scout over to Astrid, and he immediately showered her with affectionate licks, causing her to burst into laughter. We all settled on the couch, with Scout finding his place on Astrid's lap, continuing to explore her scent and giving her playful licks on her T-shirt, covering her belly.

A mischievous grin spread across my face, and Scout seemed to pick up on my excitement. Theo and Astrid gazed at him in awe as he affectionately rubbed his muzzle against her tummy. I couldn't help but laugh, exclaiming, "He sensed it!"

Theo looked surprised and asked, "You knew?" I simply nodded, holding the secret close. I was the first to discover Astrid's pregnancy. It happened during the bachelor party when she declined to drink and later became sick after eating steak.

While Astrid attributed her nausea to the steak, I had a hunch that something more was going on. I pulled her aside and urged her to spill the beans. When she confirmed the news, I was filled with sheer excitement. The thought of becoming an aunt overwhelmed me with joy. Even though Astrid isn't my biological sister, I consider her family.

Interestingly enough, Criss, remained oblivious to the news because she was too intoxicated to notice. It was our little secret for now, and I eagerly looked forward to the day when the rest of the world would know the wonderful news.

I remember her mumbling something about Harvey but I couldn't understand what exactly it is so I let it slide.

After guiding Theo and Astrid to the guest room so they could freshen up, I joined Nanny Mary in the kitchen to lend a hand. We worked together to prepare lunch for the gathering of six people. The tantalizing aroma filled the air as we cooked, anticipating the delightful meal ahead.

As we put the finishing touches on the table, the sound of footsteps announced the arrival of our guests. Kayden was the first to enter, engaged in conversation with Theo. While they chatted, Astrid and I playfully argued about her helping us, insisting that she should rest instead. We knew she needed some time to relax and take care of herself during this exciting time.

As we gathered around the table, everyone took their seats and enjoyed the delicious lunch together, including Scout who eagerly joined in on the fun. Conversations flowed freely, covering a range of random topics that brought laughter and camaraderie.

Amidst the lively atmosphere, I couldn't help but notice the stolen glances exchanged between Harry and Criss. Harry seemed drawn to Criss, but she skillfully ignored him, treating his attention as if it were an unwelcome visitor.

Once lunch was finished, Astrid took the opportunity to distribute gifts to everyone. Each package held a surprise, including the announcement of the good news and mementos from their recent trip to Bora Bora. Astrid handed Criss and me specially crafted T-shirts, with mine proudly proclaiming "My Favorite Auntie," evoking a heartfelt smile from me. The other gifts contained magnets and intricately carved wooden figures, each a meaningful keepsake from their memorable journey.

As the news sunk in, the rest of the group looked on in shock, their expressions a mix of surprise and joy. While they quickly recovered and began embracing the couple, Criss was the first to regain her composure, exclaiming, "That's amazing!" She joined in the hugs, showing her support and excitement.

Criss then turned her attention towards me, her eyebrows furrowed. "You're not going to greet them?" she questioned, her tone slightly accusing. "And you knew all along, didn't you?"

I shrugged nonchalantly, unwilling to give away my secret too easily. "Well, it wouldn't have been fair to tell you, would it? You were quite intoxicated and missed the signs," I replied casually, expecting her glare.

She opened her mouth to protest, but I swiftly interjected, beating her to the punch. "Oh, and by the way, Kayden and I are back together," I announced, wanting to redirect the conversation and share my own news.

Pin drop silence...

Calmness before the storm.

"What the fuck?"

"Seriously?"

"I'm so happy for you guys!" Kayden & I smile at them as he kissed my forehead then we went back to discuss stuff about Astrid pregnancy. I was happy that we'll were together, happily.
