《Sarafina's POV》
There was a deadly silence in the office, all of us were inside Antonio's office
I saw Jason remove a packet of cigarettes and place it between his lips, removing a lighter.
He looked up and made eye contact before looking around. "You don't mind if I?" I shook my head in response and saw as he lit his cigarette.
I looked around and found my brothers in deep thoughts,
"W-wait! You're trying to say that this very disk is capable of doing that much?" Vito asked and Jason nodded his head, taking another drag of his cigarette and then releasing the smoke out.
"Can I see what's inside?" He asked,
"Sure, but I'm warning you there can be some nasty stuff inside." Jason warned Vito, wincing in the process.
I stayed silent as I watched Vito remove a laptop, sticking the flash disk into it.
Jason is right, This very flash disk is capable of destroying a Mafia or making Mafia's go against each other and to do that you will need a brain. I've seen what's inside that flash disk and it's definitely interesting.
I noticed Vito's eyes grow wide and I saw Antonio look at him with curiosity as he made his way to him. He leaned down and looked at the screen before his eyebrows raised.
"Damn," I heard Antonio's whisper,
Soon my other brothers made their way to Vito as they looked at the laptop screen,
"What the fuck?" Leonard said, staring at the screen.
Suddenly, we heard a knock coming from outside the office and in came a guard.
"Sorry to interrupt but there is someone who wants to see Sarafina," He informed me and I scrunched my brows.
Who could it be?
"Okay, I'm coming." I told and with a nod he left the office.
"I'll be right back," I said to them as I stood up and made my way to the door.
"Wait, I should come with you." I heard Leonard say and I shake my head "No, it's fine. I'll be fine." I said.
I walked out and towards the living room where I expected my guest to be.
The moment I reached the living room, my eyes landed on a familiar face and I smiled.
"Hi Leo," I greeted him and he looked up from his lap with surprise before a smile makes its way to his face,
"Hi," He replied and stood up,
"How are you?" I asked him,
"I'm fine, I came here because I was worried. You didn't show up in school for long so..." He replied,
"That's nice of you, I was just a bit busy." I said and he looked at me as he nodded.
"Is Brianna and Joshua okay?" The smile on my face faltered a bit.
"Uh, have they contacted you or anything recently?" I asked and he shook his head in reply, his face showed concern and worry,
Relief washed over me,
"Oh okay," I said, knowing that he was desperately waiting for me to say they were okay but how am I supposed to tell him that the people he once considered as friends are the same ones who tried to kill me,
Those cowards are nowhere to be seen, we tried to locate them everywhere and searched all around the city but they were nowhere, including Régulo.
Suddenly, the conversation I had with Jason not a while ago replayed inside my head.
"Jason, why did they do it?" I asked him as I treated his wounds, he winced when I put some antibiotic to his wound,
He gave me a small smile,
"To begin with, they were never what you thought they were." He replied, and I squinted my eyes.
"I thought of them as family, I trusted them with my life, Jason! How can they do this? Why did they do it? I have so many questions, I don't even know where to start!" I said, angrily.
"Sara, everything is right in front of you. Like I said, they were never your family. You were just a part of their plan. As harsh as that sounds, it's the truth." He told me, calmly.
I clenched my fists, Jason was right. It's all right in front of me, from the beginning to the end they were after one thing,
And now that we have it in our hands, it's over.
In that very flash disk is the key to bringing hell to earth.
2 Years Later
I laughed out loud,
"And that's not all of it, at the end of all of it he was like 'Oh, was that supposed to be me?' and at that moment I literally died," Lailah said and I continued to laugh,
I have to say, Vito is one lucky guy that has someone like Lailah by his side. Fortunately, they met at the hospital and that's when their story began.
How romantic?
Everyone around us chuckled, well everyone except Vito.
"It's not funny!" He said, crossing his arms.
"Oh brother, you are so dumb." Leonard said and he huffed, angrily and like that they started arguing, insulting one another.
I smiled when I looked around, everyone was happy, including myself.
We all were having dinner that was planned and everyone was present here,
My eyes moved around to find a familiar face but he was nowhere here, I scrunched my brows before getting up and excusing myself.
I exited the dining room and searched around the whole house and found myself walking out the backyard,
I found a dark figure standing there as he took a drag of his cigarette, I went and stood across from him.
"Hey," He whispered,
"Hi." I replied, quietly as I turned to him, looking at his oceanic eyes and a smile made its way to my face.
I felt his hand intertwined with mine and I leaned my head against his shoulder,
We stood there quietly while staring at the dark sky, filled with sparkling stars.
"I love you," He suddenly said and I turned to look at him,
"I love you, too Xavier." I whispered, smiling slightly.
Out of nowhere we heard a crash coming from inside and I sighed. I was already expecting this.
"We should head inside," I told him and he nodded,
The moment we stepped inside the dining room we saw Leonard and Vito glaring at each other with several broken dishes,
I saw Antonio take a sip out of his glass of wine,
Lailah had a worried expression on her face while Lorenzo was taking a video on his phone,
Gavino was busy eating his food, avoiding the events occurring around him,
"Sorry, I'm late! Woah, what happened here?" Jason came out of nowhere noticing the broken dishes,
I wonder when the day would come where this house would have a normal dinner,
Probably never.
