I smirked victoriously as I successfully teased him in front of my mother. Speaking of mom, I'm really glad she accepted Sunghoon and our relationship. She has known that I'm bisexual for awhile now. Dad too. Dad's a bit close-minded but he said he still loves me no matter if I chose to date a boy. I love them so much.
I was now leaning on my car waiting for Sunghoon, one hand in my left pocket and my right hand holding my phone as I scrolled through my missed messages.

Huh? He sent it at 2am. I sighed before remembering something. He must've had another nightmare. He usually wakes up at this time when he has them.

In Yeop might seem tough and cold but he's broken on the inside. Two years ago, he lost his older brother in a car accident. He was in it and he was driving. I was glad he survived but I can't deny that I missed his bright brother. We both missed him. He was like the sun, shining bright on the darkest parts of our lives. I've never blamed In Yeop for his death. I had no right and he is my best friend. I don't blame my friends for anything.
I decided to give him a call. I have to make sure he's okay.
After three rings, he picked up.
"Hyung! You okay? Please tell me you are."
Silence.
"Hyung,please.."
"Jae..."
I sighed in relief as I heard his voice. Though, he sounded tired. Done with the world. He coughed and I immediately felt concern for him.
"You okay? Are you sick?"
He rarely gets sick.
"..Yeah, I think I am. Sorry, Jae-"
"Stop. Stop apologising. Why are you sorry for being sick?"
"Because you'd have to deal with those numb-heads during football training alone.", I couldn't help but chuckle at that. He's still here. He's still In Yeop.
"It'll be fine. You sir, stay home. Don't you dare think about coming to school."
"But, Jung-Ah nevermind."
Jung? Does he mean Jungwon? Sunghoon's best friend?
"I'm giving Jungwon your address. It seems like you two got real close yesterday. I'm sure you won't mind having him over."
"Huh?! *cough* Why would you do that?! Are you stupid?!", I laughed as In Yeop spoke english. He always did that to emphasise his points.
"I don't think you should strain your throat like that, hyung. I'll tell him to bring you some medicine and food."
"Hey! Don't hang-", I hanged up with a smirk.
He'll thank me later.
"Who was that?"
Sunghoon suddenly appeared, startling me. I laid a hand over where my heart was.
"Baby! Don't scare me like that.", Sunghoon tilted his head at me.
"Who. was. it.", Sunghoon spoke slowly, pronouncing every syllable with a scary gaze.
"It was In Yeop..I called him and he said he's sick..", I tried not to be overwhelmed by my boyfriend's scary gaze but it was really scary. Remind me not to ever make him mad.
Fortunately, his gaze softened as he nodded slowly.
"Wow, I thought I was going to die then by the way you were looking at me.", I laughed nervously.
He smirked and gave me a peck on the cheek.
"You're mine.", He said lowly making me gulp.
Gosh, what have I gotten myself into? My boyfriend's scary when he's angry and jealous. Someone help me.
"I have football practice today, do you want to watch?", I suggested.
We were five minutes away from school and we were on time not to be late.
"Hmm, can I? Won't your teammates find it weird that a guy like me is there?"
I furrowed my brows. He shouldn't have to care about what those idiots think. Those homophobic, dumb jocks just only know how to play football and nothing else.
"I'll just tell them that I'm your friend. They can't go against their captain.", Sunghoon chuckled, making me glance at him through the car mirror.
"Being captain sure is great. And sure, I'd love to watch my hot boyfriend play football."
I let out a small laugh as I reached out my free hand to lay on his thigh, squeezing it gently.
"J-Jae, y-your h-hand-Mmh!", He covered his mouth in shock that he just moaned.
I laughed heartily and decided to spare my blushing boyfriend, retracting my hand.
"I hate you.", he mumbled in his hand.
"Love you too."
And I do. I love him.

I walked into the locker rooms and dropped my duffle bag on the benches, making a loud sound which made me wince.
"Hey Cap, you seen In Yeop today?", Eunwoo asked me as he approached me.
Eunwoo was the only teammate there that isn't homophobic. He's even quite smart. In Yeop was closer to him than me since he knew him longer than me.
"He didn't come to school today. Told me he's sick."
"Sick?!", He shouted suddenly, startling me.
I looked at him,surprised. He's never shouted like this before. He looked, concerned?
"How could be not tell me..", he mumbled to himself.
"You okay?", I asked him, concerned about him now.
He looked at me, seemingly snapping out of his bubble.
He gave me a tight-lipped smile and nodded.
"I'm fine. Hey, can you tell him to call me? He hasn't called in ages."
"Uhh, yeah , I can do that.", I furrowed my brows slightly. What's up with him? Well, he could just be concerned for Vice captain.
He nodded once again and gave my back a slap.
"Thanks cap. See you on the field, yeah?", I nodded and he left the locker room, leaving me to be confused.
"That was strange."
I shrugged and started to change into my jersey and football boots.
"Hey, hot stuff.", I snapped my head up and my boyfriend stood in front of me.
My eyes lit up as I pulled him into a hug.
"I missed you.", I whispered into his ear. He chuckled as he hugged back, arms around my waist.
"Me too."
We probably shouldn't be hugging in the school like this but I honestly couldn't care less. I love the boy to bits. I will never pass up the chance to hug my boyfriend. I pulled him away slightly and took his face into my hands. I smiled and leaned in, pecking his nose. He looked at me with wide eyes.
"We're in school!", He reminded me with an panicked whisper as he let go of me, looking around.
I should be the one panicking but I wasn't. In fact, I didn't really care about people finding us out. I pulled his wrist gently and he fell back into my arms. Sunghoon looked at me with those wide surprised eyes that made him look so adorable.
"I don't care. I need everyone to know that you're mine.", I was shocked at myself. Since when did I get this confidence?
Sunghoon laid his hand on my chest gently and it made me look him in the eyes.
"You sure you're not going to regret it?", he whispered with a small smile.
"I'm sure, baby. Fuck, I'm so sure.", I laid my hand behind his neck and pulled him closer for a kiss.
I'm in love. Crazy in love with this adorable boy. Yes, my reputation might be damaged by this and I'll lose my captain role but if it's for everyone to know that Park Sunghoon is off limits then I'd do it in a heartbeat.
"What the-", Sunghoon pulled away and let go of me, making me already hate whoever interrupted us.
I looked up, ready to beat up whoever disturbed our intimate moment. I froze when our eyes locked. He's back? When..When did he get back?
"Geonu. Why..Why are you here?"
Geonu had been our star striker for a long time but he suddenly vanished two years ago without anyone knowing why. The team missed him since he was our best striker but In Yeop stepped up and soon everyone forgot about his disappearance.
Geonu looked between us, clearly surprised. He suddenly smirked and looked back at me.
"Is that all you have to say to your boyfriend?"
Oh right, he was also my secret ex-boyfriend. Well, technically, we didn't broke up but the moment he left without even a goodbye, we were over. I was heartbroken then. I thought he hated me. That he didn't actually like me. Mom was almost about to tell Sunghoon about him but I wasn't ready for him to know. Well, he knows now either way.
Sunghoon looked at me with wide glistening eyes that broke my heart. I hate seeing him cry because it made me heartbroken.
"You..had a boyfriend..?", he asked, his voice breaking which just hurt so much. I broke his heart without meaning to.
I reached out for his hand and held it, looking into his eyes.
"Baby, he's not my boyfriend. I swear to you, you're my boyfriend not him.", I pleaded with him with my eyes to trust me.
"Then why did he say he is?!", he shouted, making me flinch and look down.
"Yes we dated-", He let out a choked noise as I looked up, worried for my boyfriend.
He's crying. The tears were flowing out like a waterfall at this point. Fuck. I made him cry again. Why do I always hurt the people around me? I felt my anger boiling over as I turned to Geonu who was no longer smirking but I didn't care, marching over to him as my boots made a clack noise every step I took. I wrapped my hands around his shirt collar and held him up against the wall. I was livid. Does he think i'm still in love with him?
"Why the fuck are you back? You think you can just appear after two years and expect me to crawl back to you?! News flash, I fucking hate you!", I swear i saw hurt flash across his eyes.
"You left without even a goodbye and you think we're still boyfriends?", I said lowly as he flinched slightly.
"You better leave for good before I beat your face in.", He looked down and shook his head.
"You can't or you won't?"
"I can't!", He suddenly screamed, my eyes went wide in shock.
"I'm back for good. I did whatever I had to do in those two years and I'm back for good.", I let go of his collar as he slumped against the wall.
"You're back for good. You're joining the team too?", He shook his head, his eyes wide and scared. Great, he should be.
"For the record, we were over when you left. Don't ever call me your boyfriend.", I said it. I actually said it.
I turned back to Sunghoon as he looked at me. I reached out to wipe his tears away. I rested my palm on his cheek as he put his hand above mine.
"We can go home if you want. I'll skip practice for you.", Sunghoon looked at me with wide eyes as he shook his head.
"No. You need to go. You're their captain. Captains are supposed to be responsible. You're not acting responsible right now.", I couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
I pulled him into a hug as he laid his head on my chest.
"I love you so much. It feels nice to finally say it for real."
"I love you too.", I heard him mumble into my chest, making my heart flutter.
I glanced at where Geonu was and there was no one. I guess he took the message.
"I have to go. I'll see you there.", I said and kissed his forehead before ruffling his fluffy hair.
"Jae, I think we should hold out on telling everyone. Until you're really ready.", I don't deserve him. He saw straight through my confidence.
"You can already read my feelings so well.", I said with a chuckle.
I left the locker room first and he left a few minutes after. I wanted to walk to the pitch with him but Sunghoon said to wait. He wanted us to come out on our own terms. I'd do anything for him. But why was Geonu back after two years of radio silence?
