"Jayko, you will be joining Skywalker and Kenobi in their fight in the outer rim" Windu informed me as I stood before the council once again, being given my next mission in this never ending war. "You will be leaving immediately to meet up with them at the base they have set up" with a nod I followed my orders and was flown out to find my former master and Anakin falling back from the battle ahead.
"Need help master?" I walked off the shuttle to find them rushing back to the base.
"Yes, Lyra, are we ever happy to see you" the bearded man greeted. "Cody and a group of men are still out there, we need you to help them get back safely" he started with my orders.
"Of course, Master" I rushed off to find them.
"General Jayko?" Rex questioned, watching me run by him in a hurry.
"Commander!" I called, rushing to take cover with Cody on the battlefield.
"General, what are you doing here?"
"I was sent to help. I'm going to push them back while you and your men return to the base" I instructed.
"Yes, sir" he nodded, giving the signals to his men.
"Now!" I stood up and pushed back the droid army with the force before deflecting blasts and running back with the others. "I got them" I sighed, out of breath from running once we had returned to the base to meet Obi Wan, Anakin and Rex.
"Well it looks like that was a success" Anakin told the others with a hopeful shrug.
"How bad is it?" I questioned, looking over at the holotable with the battle layout.
"So far we have not been able to move forward or advance on the enemy" Kenobi explained.
"And Skywalker doesn't have any bright ideas?"
"Not this time" Anakin told me with the slight shake of his head. I raised a hand to my chin in thought, Cody smiling at the detail I had picked up from Kenobi.
"Who is leading this battle for the separatist?" I started.
"General Grievous"
"I might have a plan but it will take some time. What do you have for supplies?"
"Cody why don't you show Lyra" Kenobi instructed. Cody lead me off towards the set up base where he showed me the few supplies they had to work with.
"Thanks for the save back there General"
"Of course, it's my job to protect the people of this galaxy" I reminded when we came to a halt.
"Here it is, all of our supplies" he presented a small few crates.
"This is it?" He nodded in reply. "I guess it will have to work" I stated after taking a look inside.
"What exactly is your plan?" Anakin asked once we returned to them.
"I can use the supplies we have to build a droid disrupter but I will need time and a distraction" I explained confidently.
"How much time?" Anakin worried that it would be too late.
"As long as you can give me"
"We will make it work" Kenobi agreed.
"Good, I'll get to work. You men hold our line here" with that I rushed off to get the supplies and start on the weapon.
"Do you need any help?" A clone asked.
"No" I replied simply, not looking up to see it was Captain Rex who offered his help as I was too focused on setting up the device.
"Rex we need you up here!" Anakins voice shouted through com link and I looked up just in time to see the Captain running out to help his General.
"Come on, Lyra, hurry up" I told myself. I spent two days without sleep building the weapon large enough to take out the whole droid army.
"General Jayko, is the weapon ready?" Cody questioned, joining me as I had just finished it.
"Yeah, let's hope this works. I need a squad of troopers who can carefully put the weapon in place" I instructed and he ran off to go gather some men. "Odd ball, you know the plan?" I asked the pilot who would be dropping the bomb into the droid army.
"Yes, sir" he replied through comlink, flying overhead.
"Everyone get down!" I called out as the order was given for Oddball to drop the bomb. They all ducked behind cover and looked up to see the entire army had been taken down in one hit.
"Good job, Lyra" Obi Wan congratulated with pride.
"We're not done yet" I reminded. "We still have to capture grievous"
"Yes, we do" he agreed. Anakin, Kenobi and I marched behind where the droids once stood and found Grievous weakly trying to make his escape.
"Leaving so soon?" Kenobi asked with sass.
"General Kenobi and your friends" he scowled. With ease he had knocked me back against a droid tank, knocking me unconscious. Fading in and out I had woken up back at the base with Kix shining a light into my eyes. I tried pushing him back and getting up but he gently set me back onto the table.
"General, I need to check you for injury's" Kix explained sternly as I sighed and let him do his job even if I hated it.
"How is she?" Rex came to get the report on my status.
"She has a concussion but should be fine soon enough if she takes her meds" he directed the last part to scold me while handing me water and a pill. I glared at him while I took it. "And because of the concussion we recommend that she does not sleep for more than two hours at a time" Kix further told his Captain.
"Alright, we will make sure of it" he nodded, leading me off toward the barracks.
"Lyra, we will be staying here until Master Plo and his men take out the blockade in space" Kenobi told me once I was sat down in the meeting area with the group of them.
"How long do we suppose that will be?" I raised question.
"Could be a few hours or a few days" Anakin told me.
"Great" I sighed.

"Everyone gear up, we leave on the shuttle in 20 minutes!" Anakin called out to all of his men. "General Jayko, how are you feeling?" He looked to me as I was practically falling asleep in the meeting room. I was still new to being a General and I hadn't been prepared for staying up all week in a battle with no sleep, the concussion didn't help either.
"I'll be fine once we get to Coruscant, I'm just a little tired" I shrugged sleepily.
"Alright well, we don't need your help for anything else so you can relax in the back with the men" Anakin gently told me, understanding how much of a toll the war can be on someone as young as me or Ahsoka.
"Thank you Anakin" I smiled before moving to get onto the shuttle.
"She is a General now Anakin, she can take care of herself" Obi Wan reminded.
"That doesn't mean she doesn't need a little reminder every once in a while. I mean have you seen that girl work, it's a battle to get her to take a break"
"I suppose you're right" Kenobi sighed, him and Anakin taking their seats in the cockpit.
"We are all set to go Generals" Cody reported to the duo.
"Thank you Cody, we will be lifting off now" Kenobi told his commander. Cody had walked back into the common area where everyone else sat. Fives, Jesse and Hardcase were laughing and joking while Boil and Waxer talked to each other and Cody talked to Rex who was seated beside me.
"How long until we reach Coruscant?" I questioned Cody.
"You don't know?" He quipped back. A yawn from me told him everything he needed to know. "We will be there in 12 hours."
"Thanks" I mumbled, already starting to drift off to sleep. The noises around me began to blur together as my eyes fell shut and I welcomed sleep.
"And then General Jayko ran in and pushed back the whole wave of droids" Cody continued his story when he noticed Rex tense up. "What's wrong, Rex old boy?" The clone Captain had slightly nodded to the Generals head resting on his shoulder.
"What do I do?" Rex whispered in a panic.
"Just let her sleep, she needs the rest"
"But what if it's uncomfortable for her?"
"Then she will either wake up or readjust herself" Cody shrugged with a small smirk forming.
"Cody" Rex groaned as his brother was not being helpful.
"Come on, you have to admit it's cute"
"Yeah" Rex dreamily sighed, looking down at my peaceful state. We hit a bump in space and a chunk of hair had fallen into my face which he carefully and gently pushed back.

"You should take it easy for a few days, sir" Cody told me as we walked off the shuttle side by side to step onto Coruscant near the barracks.
"I'll rest when this war is over" I said.
"That last mission really wiped you out, I'm just looking out for my General"
"I'll see what the council decides"

"Lyra, what are you doing here?" Anakin questioned as I jumped out of the gunship and ran to deflect blaster bolts with him and his Padawan, mid battle.
"Anakin, you have been called back to Coruscant by the Jedi council" I explained in a rush.
"Now?" He asked in shock.
"Yes now!"
"What about the battle?"
"I can carry it through" I promised with determination to prove I was more than just a Padawan now.
"Ahsoka, stay here and listen to Lyra's orders" Anakin ordered her sternly with a pointed finger as he got onto the gunship.
"I- what? I can't watch her and the troopers and fight!" I argued.
"I'm sure you'll get used to it" with that Anakin was already flying away in the gunship. I let out a groan before we pressed forward in the attack, me leading them forward.
"Ahsoka, take Fives with you to sneak around and bomb their tanks" I shouted out orders to them all.
"Where's General Skywalker?" The clone Captain questioned, taking cover from the rubble beside me.
"He had to go back to Coruscant and left me in charge"
"What's the plan, sir?"
"Ahsoka and Fives went to sneak around and take out those tanks then we can press forward and finish off the droids" I explained again, trusting Rex to help me.
"Yes, sir" he nodded before standing up and shooting at the droids to take out as many as possible. My mind was clouded with all of the responsibilities on this mission that I lost my focus.
"Ah!" I shouted, getting caught in an explosion in the battlefield.
"General!" Rex shouted out with panic. He ran over to where I was laying in pain, ripping off his he,met to see me clearly. "Oh force" he sighed at the sight, putting his helmet back on to protect himself. Picking me up quickly he had rushed me over to take cover. "Kix, I need you!"
"On my way, sir" the medic replied.
"Good, hang on General" Rex had set me up against a tree as my eyes were dazed and my head ached. "Fives, commander Tano, please tell me you have taken down those tanks" Rex contacted them next.
"Taking care of it now!" Ahsoka called as she jumped from the trees and landed on one, dropping a bomb inside before jumping off and cutting down droids.
"Rex?" I questioned, looking at him.
"Take it easy, sir" he told me just before Kix arrived, holding my hand in his own to reassure us both. Kix quickly stuck me with a syringe, prompting my to yell out in pain. "Easy" Rex warned Kix through gritted teeth.
"I know what I'm doing, sir" Kix snapped back, going back to work on his brothers around the field. "She should be alright, there was no outside damage done she'll just be sore for a while from the impact" Kix explained to the Captain.
"Both tanks are down" Fives reported back proudly through his com link.
"Good, press the attack" I ordered everyone.
"Sir?" Rex was confused by my orders.
"You heard me, press the attack. I may be injured but that doesn't mean none of you can't finish off the droid army"
"Right" he nodded. "Stay with her" he pointed to Kix before running off to help his own men in the fight against the separatists.

"Lyra, oh my force" Ahsoka rushed over to me after they finished the battle, Rex having told her about what happened. "We need to get you back to Coruscant"
"She'll be fine" Kix reassured her calmly. "She's a tough one"
"Good" Ahsoka smiled from beside me.
"Did you win the battle?" I questioned, hoping for some good news.
"We did!" she cheered, eager to tel, me all about it on the fly back home.
