Next day
Y/n's POV
I woke up from my 3 hour sleep, looking miserable..
I couldn't sleep the whole night, everything was flashing before my eyes....and I didn't know what happened to my life.
I got up and went to the mirror..I saw myself and sighed.
Y/n - " Lot of makeup would be needed today!"
Time skip
Since I woke up a little late,I quickly walked to the dining room.
And I saw Tae there, sitting in his suit, eating his breakfast while scrolling his phone.
I wasn't expecting him to go to office today.
Why?
I don't know.
Breaking my trance,he got up,ready to leave and my eyes widened.
Y/n's mind - " No,no,no...he can't go right now....I need to talk to him.....I hope he listens!"
I quickly walked towards him,who was putting some files in his office bag.
Y/n - " Tae!"
I called out.
He looked at me for a second and then rolled his eyes.
He again started doing his stuff.
Y/n - " Tae..I want to talk to you urge-"
He didn't listened to me and started walking towards the door.
His ignorance was making me weak...I felt like time was slipping through my hands...I felt like as he was walking away from me...he was slipping away from me....I may never have him back.
My eyes welled up immediately
Y/n - " Taeee!!!"
I let out a sobbed scream.
He still didn't stopped.
I also started walking behind him.
Y/n - " Why are you doing this,Tae.....why can't you just listen to me once....................Taeee!"
I said in a broken voice.. walking behind him.
He was still walking unbothered.
I stopped and looked at his back moving away from me.
I sighed and said the most important thing right now.
Y/n - " I am leaving!"
I said out clear.
And he stopped in his tracks
He didn't turned around but stayed there.
I sniffed my tears.
Y/n - " I have to go back to America Tae...... please give me a chance to explain you everything!"
I pleaded
I saw his grip tightened on his bag.
I waited for him to say anything but he stood there like a statue.
Y/n - " I won't go,if you will stop me........just say it once Tae...I will not go!"
My heart was beating fast..I was expecting him to say something.
To be angry at me..to shout at me..to ask me not to go.. anything!!!!
But he stayed quiet.
I took some small steps towards him.
But before I could approach him,he again started walking out of the house..as if nothing happened.
At that point a sob left my mouth...My legs felt jelly..and he I fell down on my knees.
Flashback
Last night
I walked in my room and sat on my bed defeatedly
As expected Tae doesn't even want to see my face and this fact is peircing my heart.
I stayed on the bed silently thinking about everything....
Couple of hours later
*Ring Ring*
My phone buzzed.
I picked it up and saw it was Namjoon's call.
I answered it.
OTP
Y/n - "He-"
"no,no,no....
I will talk first....you will talk later....."
"I have to talk about something important...then i will give you the phone"
"Nooooo....let me talk to he first..
...otherwise I will tell her that u went into her cabin and broke her glass showpiece."
I unconsciously let out a laugh.. listening to their bickering.
This father-son duo never fails to make your day.
They probably heard my laughter and stopped bickering.
Da-joon - " Hello...Y/n mom!"
He exclaimed excitedly.
Y/n - " Hey..Da-joon-ah!"
Da -joon - " I miss you so much y/n mom!"
I smiled at his cute voice.
Y/n - " I miss you too!"
Namjoon - "Ok, that's it..give it to me now!.......
Hello"
Y/n - " Hey.. Namjoon....you have again broken something!"
Namjoon - " Uhh!...Yeah
......I am sorry about that..I'll buy you the new one.
...but that's not important right now.....I need to tell you something more important and urgent."
Y/n - " Hmmm.. what?"
I asked with furrowed eyebrows.
Namjoon - " Y/n... you need to catch the next flight to America!"
My eyes widened in shock
Y/n - " What?..Bu-"
Namjoon - " Yeah..I know...you have some wedding to attend...but you really have to catch a flight...since we are having our annual meeting in two days!"
My mouth went open.
Y/n - " Annual meeting??....But I can't come joon!"
I said panicking.
Namjoon - " Are you alright y/n?....it's the annual meeting, all the higher ups will be there....how can you miss the meeting!"
He said in a shocked voice
Y/n - " I-I know...b-but-"
Namjoon - " What reason will I give them of your absence y/n...your duty leave is finished..and you have completed the leave days you get in a year!"
His voice clearly showed how shocked he is, to hear me refusing to attend this meeting.
Namjoon - " Moreover..it's not like you don't have any work..there are so many emails we have got for you......what will I tell them if they ask why aren't those emails answered.!"
I know now,he is getting angry at me.
Y/n - " Joon.. I-I have something very important he-"
Namjoon - " Y/n...you will get both of us fired!"
He told me angrily.
At this point I was not scared of losing my job..but I know if I will be absent in that meeting...it would create a lot of trouble for namjoon.
He already is a single dad...his life is already so troublesome..and I don't want to be the reason for him losing his job and getting into more trouble.
Y/n - " O-okay....I'll take the next possible flight!"
Flashback ends.
Tae's POV
I entered my company,with my hands in my pocket..my bag was already taken by the guard
and I walked to the lift with fast steps
Everyone was bowing to me..but I didn't even glanced at them
My mood was totally devastated.
"I am leaving"
Y/n's voice echoed in my mind.
I scoffed.
Tae - " This girl....who can't even stay a day for me...claims to love me."
I opened the lift and entered in.
Tae - " What she even wants to explain...she didn't did anything wrong...it's me who is wrong,I did wrong by still loving her.."
I massaged my temples to calm down the anger and frustration building inside me.
Tae - " If you would stop me..I won't go!"
I repeated her words and scoffed.
Tae - " Bullshit.....she showed me my importance in her life,when she said she is leaving....me stopping her wouldn't have mattered!......what she wants from me now?.. to beg her to stay with me?....if she loves me...why can't she wait for me!"
Tae's mind - " Exactly!!!..That's what all this drama is for right?....you wanted to test her right?...you wanted to see how much she could wait for you... how far she could go for you?...how much she loves you!"
My mind argued.
Tae - " what's the use?...She failed in it miserably!"
I said clenching my jaw.
And at the same time..the lift opened with the ting.
And I saw my secretary standing there.
Secretary - " Good morning, President....For today you-"
Tae - " Shut up!"
I growled at her and walked towards my cabin with fast steps
I slammed the door shut and sat down on my chair holding my head.
Tae - " Lee y/n....what kind of a witch are you.?"
I punched my table making a loud noise.
Time skip
Few hours later
Today is the worst day ever.... nothing was going right, I wasn't able to concentrate on any work..my meeting went terrible and I was shouting at every employee I came across.
I feel like my personality is going back to the time before y/n came.
Just then the door to my cabin opened.
Tae - " Didn't I told that do not distu-"
My words got cut off when I saw noona at the door.
Tae - " What are you doing here noona?"
She sighed and walked forward towards my table and I again turned towards the file.
Jisoo - " What am I doing here?...the question is what are you doing here?"
I looked at her confused
Tae - " This is my cabin...if not here where am I supposed to be?"
Jisoo - " Tae, I don't understand why are you doing this?"
She said with a ''done'expression
I furrowed my eyebrows
Jisoo - " Y/n...she is leaving and you know that..but you are still here!"
My face became expressionless..and I paid attention to my file.
Tae - " What should I do..if she is leaving?"
I felt my heart burning while saying this.
Jisoo - " Tae...this not the right way...this is so childish...if you love her...why are you doing this...why don't you go and stop her?"
She said irritatedly.
Tae - " If she wants to go..who am I to stop her!"
I said and gulped
Jisoo - " SHE SAID SHE WILL NOT GO IF YOU STOP HER."
She shouted at me.
I looked towards her angrily.
Tae - " THEN WHAT SHE EXPECTS ME TO DO?.....BEG HER TO NOT GO...WHY CAN'T SHE STAYS BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO STAY FOR ME?"
She closed her eyes for a second and took a deep breath.
Jisoo - " You can atleast talk to her...your actions are breaking her!"
I smiled sadly and looked down,then I looked back at her.
Tae - " Breaking her?"
I nodded sarcastically
Tae - " Everyone sees her breaking.... but what about me...I am already broken...not once but many times and by her...!"
I said with pain coated in my tone.
Noona's expression turned sad.
She came near me held my face softly.
Jisoo - " I know...I understand you my baby brother...but isn't this hurting you too...tell me... are you happy to know she is leaving?"
I held her hand which was on my cheek and said
Tae - " Noona...I am insecure....I have loved only that girl my entire life.....do you think..I don't want to stop her...I want to.... but I am insecure....I still am not sure if she really loves me...I don't want to expect something and then get broken again...I don't have that much strength left to be broken again!"
I told her my feelings.
She caressed my face.
Jisoo - " Why did you lied when I asked you if you still like y/n?"
I broke the eye contact with her and looked down.
Yeah,she is the only person before Jennie whom I myself told that I like y/n...I told her before she went to China....and when she returned..she asked me if I still like y/n... but I said no...cause I like Jennie now!
She made me face her.
Jisoo - " She loves you too.....I can tell...I talked to her before coming here...and I know she loves you...there is a reason for which she has to go .....Stop her Tae!"
She said pleadingly.
I turned away from her.
Tae - " I want to, but something is stopping me!"
She again stood in front of me.
Jisoo - " Don't tell me your guilt for Jennie is stopping you!"
I stayed quiet.....because she is right.
Jisoo - " Tae...you shouldn't be guilty..Jennie would be better now....if something was bad for her..that was this relationship."
Tae - " But I ruined her eight years."
Jisoo - " Tae..it's not like she didn't knew....she knew what she is getting into...it's not your mistake...you-"
She was cut by her phone.
She looked at the ID and cut the call.
Then she sighed
Jisoo - " Look Tae...I just want to say...stop her before it's too late... otherwise you will regret......her flight is at 6pm.....I am leaving now.."
Shr said and walked out of my cabin.
I closed my eyes and tried to process everything.
Then I opened it and stared in space but my eyes caught the clock on the wall...which showed 5: 35pm..my eyes widened.
I quickly stood up and took my phone and car keys and dashed out of the cabin.
The airport is quite away from my office...but I hope I make it up on time.
I quickly entered my car and hit the road...
I took out my phone and it was switched off.
Tae - " The hell!"
I quickly tried to switch it on,while still driving.
It finally switched on and the battery was 1%
I saw many missed calls from y/n,noona and appa.
I gulped my saliva and quickly called y/n.
But before the bell rings my phone switched off again.
Tae - " SCRAM!"
I threw the phone on the passenger seat and hit the steering wheel in anger.
( Disclaimer- Don't use phone while driving....it's dangerous.!!!!!)
Time skip
I don't know after how much time I finally reached the airport....I quickly exited the car and ran towards the entrance.
But I was stopped by some guards
Guard - " Sir, your ticket?"
Tae - " I am not a passenger...I just want to meet someone!"
I tried walking in but he again stopped me.
Guard - " Sir,please wait here..when they will come you can meet!"
I looked at him irritatedly
Tae - " She is not coming out she went in..but I have to stop her."
Guard - " Sorry sir..you are not allowed to enter without a ticket!"
Tae - " Fine..give me a ticket then....."
Guard - " Sir, I can't give you the ticket!"
Tae - " Then what are you even here for....."
I said angrily and then sighed
Tae - "ok,tell me the departure timings of the recent American flight."
I asked him while trying to calm myself down.
Guard - " American flight?....Sir an American flight just left 10 minutes ago!"
