The Prom Posal
Me and Ponyboy sat under a willow tree up in a hill as he read to me in a nice, soothing voice I looked at him lovingly, I always loved when he reads to me, it relaxes me. "Y/N." He said softly "Yes?" "Can I read you a poem?" "Sure." I smiled
"I love you more than sunsets, I love you more than books, I love you more than movies and it's not for your looks, For I love you for what's inside, your personality is pure gold, Your help many others, 'she's a keeper' is what I've been told, your one of a kind, And I'm glad to say that you are mine, so as we watched everything go from dawn to night I'd like to say, Will you like to go to prom with me sometime?"
He gave me a charming smile, It had took me a second to take in what he said, but when I did my face lit up I hugged him tightly "Yes! Yes! Yes! I though you'd never ask!" I squealed "Really?" He laughed
"Of course!" "I'll pick you up at your place at seven o'clock on the dot." "Alright!" I smiled "Well, I better go before Darry gets mad, see ya Y/N" He kissed my cheek "Bye." I blushed, I started getting my things ready and heard Ponyboy from afar "Yes!" He yelled in excitement, I couldn't help but laugh.
Ponyboys Pov:
"Yes!" I yelled in excitement
Y/N is gonna go to the prom with me, the most prettiest girl in the world going to prom with me, I walked in the house with a goofy smile spread all over my face "Hey Ponyboy, so...Howd it go?" Soda asked
"She said yes!" I smiled
The whole gang cheered and congratulated me with a pat on the back "Now I'm gonna tell you all good pointers to taking a girl out." Soda said
"I need a suit too." I said "Don't worry you can use my old one." "Now you better treat her with manners Ponyboy." Darry said "I will."
"I'm so proud of you!" Soda hugged me tightly "Thanks."I laughed.
I had a whole week to get ready, which would be enough. I wanted everything to be perfect.

Prom Night
Ponyboys Pov:
I rang on the door bell nervously waiting for Y/N to awnser, Prom Night came quicker than I expected but I felt prepared Thanks to Soda and the gangs help, I looked down at the corsage I had got for her. I rang the door bell once again. The door opened to show Y/N, I held my breath, I was tooken speechless, she looked so beautiful, she was wearing a white and yellow stripped dress that was below the knees, with a thin yellow belt wrapped around her waist, her hair was put up in a high ponytail, her face filled with natural Beaty like a Greek goddess that came down to earth.
A tear fell down my cheek, "Are you crying?" She asked "Huh? No it's just...I got something in my eyes." I hastily wiped my tears she laughed softly, Gosh if I can hear that laugh again. I snapped out of my daze and held out the corsage "I got you this." "It's beautiful!" She gasped, "I picked out the one that reminded me of you." I smiled, She blushed as she slipped it into her wrist, it was a golden rose with pearls around it, it had cost all of my allowance but it was worth it to see the smile of Y/N.
I held her hand as I walked her to the car Soda lended me, I opened the door for her, she thanked me as she hopped in, I closed the door and off we drove to school.
Music was blasting as people were dancing Greaser, Soc and Middle Class all united for only one night just to have a good time, As we walked in all of the boys was looking at Y/N, I wrapped my arm around her waist Protectively, She kissed me on the cheek "Don't worry Ponyboy, I wanna be with you." She smiled, "Want so Punch?" I asked "It's alright I ain't thirsty, Anyways someone probably snuck in Vodka into it." She shrugged.
Suddenly some upbeat music started playing Y/N's eyes lit up and she yanked me into the dance floor "This is my favorite song!" She said excitedly as she started to dance, I danced along, swinging her around, spinning her, Everyone cheered us on, all eyes were on us. Y/N seemed shy at first but I kept her going(I gusse Darry's dance lessons helped after all)
When the song finished every clapped for us, We both just shyly smiled and waved, 'Put Your head on my shoulder' By Paul Anka started to play, I put my hands on her waist as she put her arms around my neck, We rested both of our forheads together, noses touching, we looked at eachother lovingly.
"I love you." She said softly
"I love you too Y/N." I kissed her in the lips, it felt magical, Butterflies filled my stomach as my head spinned.
So this is love, I remember when I was just Fourteen I had asked Soda about love so many times and now I finally figured it out.
After the slow song we had done a couple of more dancing, Soon I had decided to sneak us to the top of the school roof, The stars shined brightly as the moonlight exposed Y/Ns beautiful features, I couldn't help but look at her as she looked up at the stars, she sighed and rested her head on my shoulder."Thank you Ponyboy." She smiled "For what?" I asked "For giving me this beautiful night that I'll always remember." "I'll always love you Y/N."We both looked at eachother, her eyes glimmering through the darkness. We both leaned in for one more soft, tender kiss.
I knew right there and then. A forever lasting love is what we have, Me and Y/N were meant to be and one day.... I'll marry that girl.
