Levin POV
The old warehouse is in the distance as I stare at it. It looks like a normal warehouse, smells like a normal warehouse, and probably is made of that same old rusting metal like a normal warehouse.
But, in my life, nothing I do is normal.
Amon stands with one foot on the edge of the building, his lower face covered by a bandana. He looked sort of funny, but I held my chuckle in and looked back at the warehouse.
"Why are we here?" I asked, brooding again over why we're not saving Touka instead of whatever were doing right now.
Amon stepped fully on the edge and looked over at me with stern eyes. "This is your payment, you said you wanted to get rid of your debt, your doing that right now." He said, his voice clear.
I sigh. "Then what are we doing?"
He looked back at the warehouse, and handed me some binoculars. "Look through the far right window." He said.
I grab then and put them to my face, getting the adjustment just right to see through the window. I flinch when a see a man with a red cloak on. I grit my teeth. Aogiri in ward 10? When was this?
"I think that says enough." Amon said, grabbing back the binoculars and heading towards the stairs to an alley.
I take another look at the warehouse, then at the sunset. The sun blinded me, and I see in the distance a giant rain cloud. I heard there would be a big storm for the next couple of weeks, almost a typhoon.
I hope the Nest will be locked tight for that.
But I can't think about them. Not right now I can't. I need to train, get stronger. I'm the Crow, I protect the Nest. I'm not gonna let Vin down. I look down at my hands and clench them, making them go white for a second, then loosen them, the color coming back.
"Who are you?" Said a voice, echoing in my head, making my ears ring. I grab my head and breath slowly. I shake my head, my vision going back to normal.
I need to get my head straight.
Kaneki POV
Well, that talk could've went better. After Saiko told me to tell everyone what's been bothering me, I told them, and they rinsed me out of the rest I was trying to keep hidden.
Damn kids these days.
They all stayed quiet, as if they were thinking to report me to their superiors, well, other superiors. Saiko made a face, then sighed, walking back to the room she owned.
"So, your having headaches and are going to the hospital to get it checked, okay, nothing to worry about." She said with a nonchalant face.
That's not what I'm doing?!? Wait...
Mutsuki smiled shyly. "Y-Yeah, he just has bad headaches." He said as he walked back to the couch.
Shirazu smirked with those sharp teeth of his and shrugged. "Nothing we can really do about it." He said, joining Mutsuki on the couch, watching tv.
They're pretending they didn't hear?! Is it... because they don't care whether I'm taking temporary truce with ghouls? I freeze then look at Urie. He's still staring at me. His blank face made me uncomfortable.
"Oops... my ear piece was in, I didn't hear." He mumbled, walking out the door, grabbing his coat before leaving.
Even Urie?! These kids... idiots. I smile gently and grab my coat also, pulling out my cell. As it rang, I waved bye to the others as I exited the room.
Damn kids.
Urie POV
I didn't expect Sasaki to say he was temporarily working with ghouls. I strive to be like him. If he can stand their filth for an amount of time, so should I!
I need to impress him, to get that promotion I've been looking for. But, if Sasaki goes out of line. I have something to pin against him, I don't care if the others hate me for it.
It seems that I'm on the offensive now.
Whatever... I'm doing some investigation on the 10th ward, apparently there's supposed to be ghoul activity somewhere there. Weird too, they usually don't get too close to the 1st Ward too often.
Oh well. If things get dirty, I'm ready. I just got my surgery done for more RC cells. My kagune should be ready.
I'll kill anyone standing in my way.
