*Teaching her how to drive*
C H A P T E R 2 1 : W O L F :
"Sometimes you need to forget how you feel and remember what you deserve."

"He kissed me." I whisper to my sister.
"He as in THE he?" She yells.
"So much for being quiet. Anyways yes Jayden." I say, closing her bedroom door and sitting on the bed.
"Okay I need details Amber." Aurora says excitedly.
"Uhm okay.. it was like 3am in the hot tub outside and uh yeah he just kissed me." I say nervously.
"I'm sorry!? The hot tub as in our hot tub!?"
"Obviously." I roll my eyes.
"Okay did you kiss him back?" Aurora asks doubtedly
"Yes, Aurora, I kissed him back." I say in a duh tone.
"Oh god. How was it!?"
"It was amazing, Aurora." I say quietly.
"Oh my god. Don't tell him I said this but I already like him better than Colton. But aren't you guys just friends?"
"We are. I'm not looking for a boyfriend. And he doesn't do girlfriends. And I don't do hookups. We're far too different, Ror. Plus I don't wanna ruin our friendship. I'm pretty sure the kiss was a one time thing." I sigh.
"If he doesn't wanna make you his girlfriend, Amber, then you deserve someone who will." She says smiling.
"Hey Aurora?" I say softly.
"Yeah?"
"All this "you deserve better" speech you always give me. Ever consider giving it to yourself? Because you deserve better than Tristan too. Whenever Colton cheated on me you always told me how I deserve better. Well Aurora, you deserve better too. You deserve a guy who loves you more than anything. You deserve a guy who doesn't cheat on you every weekend." I say.
She looks shocked at my little speech. "Amber, we're talking about you. Not me sis."
"No! Now you're gonna listen to me." I say sternly.
"Tristan doesn't deserve you Aurora. I don't understand why you're always going back to that douche. You are so out of his league Aurora. On top of that, not only does he not have the looks, he doesn't even have the personality." I lecture.
"I love him, Amb."
"Put that love on someone who deserves it. He doesn't. You might think you love him but I promise you.. you don't." I say, grabbing her hand.
"Fine. If he messes up again I'll break up with him." She says, rolling her eyes.
I glare at her.
"For good this time." She adds.
"Good." I smile.
"So now back to the blue eyed boy..." she says smirking.
I groan as she continues her relationship advice I never asked for.

"It sucks that you have to leave so early Alex." Alice says sadly.
"I know babe." Alex says, hugging her.
"You better come visit us in New York, like as soon as possible, girl." Lizzy says hugging Alex.
"I will Lizzy," Alex says, hugging her tightly.
"It was so nice to meet you, Amber. And thank you for having us. This was really fun." Alex says hugging me.
"Of course! It was great to meet you too." I say hugging her back.
Alex finishes saying goodbye to everyone else. She had to leave because "something came up" and that's all we were told.
More like what I was told.
Alex seems like a sweet but secretive girl. Not just her though, I feel like everyone in this friend group is hiding something from me. And I'm in no rush to find out what it is.
We all go and drop Alex off to this place a couple minutes away, where a private jet comes and picks her up. See, I knew she was rich but.. this rich?
Me, Aurora, Jordan, Jayden, Hunter, Alice, Xavier and Lizzy all go see her off.
As I'm observing this whole thing I notice something on the plane.
"Jayden?" I ask curiously.
"Yeah?"
"Why does that private jet have your last name on it?" I ask suspiciously.
"Cause it's my plane, Amber." He says in an obvious tone.
"Woah. How the hell did I not know that?" I say, shocked.
"You don't know a lot of things, Amber." He shrugged.
"Like what?" I ask sarcastically.
"Way too much, Angel." He says putting his arms around my shoulders.
"Hmm."
We back up as the plane takes off.
"Damn I miss her already." Aurora says.
"She's really cool." I smile back.
"Look at the two of you getting all cozy." Aurora says, pointing to his arm around me.
Now what do I say to that?
I just glare at her.
"I gotta go talk to Jordan, I'll be right back." Jayden says, before walking away.
"Ok, give me all the deets." Aurora demands.
"Well he now calls me Angel." I say.
"Angel? Girl damn! That is actually kind of cute."
"Eh."
"I wish Tristan nicknamed me." She says, rolling her eyes.
"Another reason why... I start.
She interrupts. "Nevermind." She says, laughing.
"Hey. What do you think of Jordan?" I ask, smirking.
"I think he's a selfish bitch who's also an asshole." She says fixing her coat.
"Ok that's not true, he's just misunderstood. If it makes you feel any better I've known him since fall and he still despises me." I say.
"He triggers me. He's such an asshole he freaking nicknamed me, Amber." Aurora says, angrily.
"Oh my god what did he nickname you?" I say excitedly.
"Freaking "princess" because apparently I act like a princess and I'm spoiled. God I hate him so much Amber. He freaking infuriates me." She says roughly.
"Jordan king nicknamed you!? I totally ship." I say enthusiastically.
"I have a boyfriend." She says, rolling her eyes.
"Oh really? Damn that sucks Aurora... or should I say 'princess' ?" I joke.
"Please shut up." She laughs, walking away.
I follow her, walking over to everyone else. Everyone's piled up and talking while standing next to the cars. We join them.
"Y'all we really wanna get pizza, where's the nearest pizzeria?" Lizzy asks.
"It's a couple miles up north." I answer.
"Ok imma need you to speak English. The fuck does "up north" mean? Like how many miles Amberianne?" Xavier asks.
I laugh. "Ok Xavier about 15 miles. I'll put the address on your phone. Kay?"
"Thank you." Xavier says handing me his phone.
I put the address on his phone and handed it back to him, he thanked me.
"So I'm actually gonna head back home but I'm sure Aurora would love to come with you guys. To help with directions and all. Yeah?" I say.
"Yeah sure, you got it." Aurora says, nodding.
They start getting into the cars and Jayden pulls me aside.
"What?" I ask, curiously.
"Why aren't you coming with us?" He asks.
"Because I'm tired. Ophelia kept me up all night, watching baby videos of Colton. And I desperately need a nap." I answer.
"I'll stay home with you."
"Uhm no you won't. Go have fun with them." I laugh.
"I'm not leaving you alone with him." He says sternly.
"Oh my god. I've been alone with him since I was basically born. I'll be fine, I'm just gonna go to sleep. Ok? Plus there's Tristan and Justin. You go have fun with everyone Jayden." I say slightly pushing him to the car, playfully.
"I don't like this." He adds.
"Go have fun." I say hugging him.
"Fun is with you." He says.
"Aww that's cute. Alice, get your brother." I yell.
"On it." Alice yells back, grabbing Jayden's arm and pulling him.
"Can I atleast drive her back?" He asks, pulling away from Alice's grip.
"Dang my brother's in love. Anyways go ahead Romeo." She says releasing the grip on his arm.
I laugh, following Jayden to his car. "Yo! I'm texting you the address, meet us there." Xavier yells.
Jayden doesn't bother answering him as we get into his car.
The drive back isn't that long due to the fact that Jayden doesn't believe in speed limits.
He drives like there's no tomorrow. And like we have 7 lives and we're playing freaking temple run.
"Hey Jayden you do realize that both your hands are supposed to be on the steering wheel, right?"
"I'm not taking driving advice from someone who doesn't even have her license." He says sarcastically.
"Ok but even I know that you're supposed to put two hands on the wheel." I say rolling my eyes.
"Literally no one does that." He says.
"Oh my god. Teach me how to drive!!" I say enthusiastically.
"Hell no."
"Please." I say pouting.
"I'm sorry but I'm not gonna let you crash my baby." He says.
"I won't crash your car. Pweaseeeeeeee." I beg.
"You literally crashed us on bumper cars. How do I know you won't do that to my car?"
"Okay but in my defense... the point of bumper cars is to crash em'."
"Not happening."
"I have an idea." I say mischievously.
"Amber whatever it is that you're thinking of doing. Stop."
"Move your legs." I instruct.
"Hell no."
I smile. Getting off the passenger's seat and moving myself so that I'm sitting in between his legs and directly in front of the steering wheel.
"Gosh you're stupid." He says shocked.
His hands don't leave the steering wheel as he continues driving.
"Ok so now tell me what to do." I say excitedly.
"This is such a bad idea." He says stopping the car.
"I know right." I say sarcastically.
"Okay. Check your mirrors and start the car." He says.
"How do I do that?" I ask
He sighs before doing it for me.
"Okay what now?" I ask
"We drive." He says putting my hands on the steering wheel. His hands over mine instructing what to do since I have no idea. By now I'm basically on his lap. His chin rests on my bare neck making my stomach erupt into butterflies.
I'm short compared to him so he can very clearly still see the road. His one hand rests on my stomach as he turns using the steering wheel. I look at the GPS and we're about 20 minutes away from the cabin.
"This is fun." I say, resting my head on his chest as he continues driving.
"That's because you're not doing shit."
"Ok so now all of a sudden you see the speed limit?" I ask as I notice how he's not driving that fast anymore.
"You doing this is dangerous and you could die. So sorry for caring about your wellbeing since you're feeling rebellious today." He says, sarcastically.
"Aw you're so sweet." I say, sarcastically.
"I know."
"Oh my god Jayden look!" I say pointing to some animal on the side of the road.
"What?"
"Something's hurt, look!" I say pointing outside.
"If I "look" we're both dead." He says in an obvious tone.
"Jayden stop the car." I say sitting up.
He rolls his eyes, before pulling to the side of the road.
"Why the fuck do I deal with you?" He says annoyed.
"Unlock the doors I need to go check." I say trying to open the door.
"It's almost dark out, you're not going out in the middle of the woods." He says.
"But it could die." I say, softly.
"This is bullshit." He says unlocking the door.
"Thank you!" I say getting out.
"No." He says grabbing my arm. "You're staying next to me and don't even think about running away I don't care if you think it's fucking Dying." He says in a serious tone.
"Ok fine now can we please go help it." I plead.
He rolls his eyes before grabbing my hand and interlocking it with his. We walk closer to whatever is on the side of the road.
"Oh god it's a-.." I say reaching out to pet it.
"A wolf." He says grabbing my waist and pulling me away before I could touch it.
"No sweetheart, it's a dog." I say sarcastically.
"It's a wolf." He says, rolling his eyes.
"Ok but like what if it's Scott McCall? Huh? I need to make sure he's okay. Oh my god if I befriend him he can lead me to stiles. That's my husband right there." I say trying to walk away.
"Sometimes I worry about you." He says grabbing me and picking me up and walking to the car.
"Hey! I need to help the wolf." I yell.
"No you don't. It's a wolf and you're an idiot. That's dangerous now, shut up." He says opening the back seat door with one hand.
"You're mean." I pout.
"Cool." He says placing me in the backseat before closing the door and walking to the driver's seat.
He gets in and starts the car.
"What if he dies?" I say with my voice breaking.
I cry when animals die.
"Amber, I'm sure he can get to his pack." He says as he starts driving.
"What if he's an omega?" I say softly.
"Look." He says pointing out the window to the "wolf" leaving into the woods.
"He's fine, angel."
"Why am I in the backseat?" I ask.
"Because you act like a kid and you need the child lock."
"Not fair." I say, yawning.
"Go to sleep." He says driving faster.
I finally decided to listen to him for once and close my eyes. The sound of the radio playing in the background is the last thing I remember.

I look back and see her fast asleep.
I continue driving until we finally reach the cabin. I park my car and grab my phone and see a text from Xavier.
Xavier: Yo where U @?
Me: Just arrived at the cabin. I'll call you in 5.
I get out of my car and walk to the backseat to get Amber.
I open the door and carefully pick her up. Making sure she doesn't wake up. While holding her with one hand, I close the door with my other hand. I grab my phone from the hood of the car and lock the car.
I fix Amber's coat and make sure she's warm since it's like 20 degrees out here.
While walking to the cabin door I realize I don't have the keys so I'm gonna have to knock. I look next door and see the parents SUV gone and the lights off.
They're gone for the night.
Great! I roll my eyes as I realize that I'm gonna have to see those 3 dicks.
I knock a couple of times and finally hear someone walk towards the front door. To my surprise it's Tristan. AKA dick #2.
"Woah is she okay?" He says.
"She's asleep." I state in an obvious tone.
"You don't happen to know where my girl is?" He asks.
"She's out for dinner with the others." I say walking upstairs.
He says something else but I don't hear it since I'm already more than halfway up the staircase. I start walking to our room and I finally see the last person I wanna see right now.
Colton.
This should be interesting.
"What the fuck did you do to her!?" He yells.
"She's asleep. Keep your fucking voice down." I say, trying not to lose my temper.
"Asleep!? Why is she asleep?" He asks.
I'm rethinking life decisions right now.
"Move." I say.
"No. Tell me why she's asleep."
How the fuck do I explain why people sleep to this dickhead right now.
"Did you really date her? Cause how the fuck don't you know that she spends 75% of her day sleeping?" I question.
"God. What does she see in you?" He says.
I scoff. "Funny thing. I ask her the same question about you every day." I say moving past him and towards our room.
I open the door and walk in. Gently placing her on the bed. I take off her coat. Shoes and gloves. Leaving her in her shirt and sweatpants. I'm surprised it's not a dress today.
I pull the covers over her body and move the hair off her face. She says something inaudible and cuddles into the pillow.
Adorable.
I grab the phone and call Xavier. As I turn around I see Colton sneaking around the hallway and just acting suspicious.
"Hey. Are you on your way?" Xavier asks, through the phone.
"On second thought..." I say walking over to the bedroom door. "I think I'll stay here." I say, glaring at Colton before closing the door.
"Okay? You sure?" Xavier asks.
"Yeah Amber fell asleep and I really don't trust these guys to be alone with her. Especially if she's asleep." I say.
Nothing in the world would wake this girl up. Which is so dangerous.
"You're right. Stay there. I don't trust em' one bit. We'll bring you guys dinner." He says.
"Sounds good, I'll see you then." I say.
"Yeah, bye." He says hanging up.
I lock the bedroom door and go into the bathroom to change.
Even though I would be gone for like a minute or two, I can't have Colton try anything.
After that, I crawl into bed next to Amber. She turns around and lays her head on my chest before wrapping her arms around me.
"You smell good." She says sleepily.
I smile before grabbing the tv remote and putting something on as she lays on me. I play with her hair and she immediately falls asleep.
All Amber told me was how Colton cheated on her. But something tells me he did a lot more than cheat on her. I remember the first night I met her. She had a bruise on her wrist. And it wasn't from the guys in the café for sure.
It was also like her first day in New York.
Which makes me think that bruise was from Michigan. Who would hurt her in Michigan?
The obsessive ex who can't get over her.
Just the thought of him even trying to hurt her makes me wanna shoot him right now.
Like who in their right state of mind thinks it's ok to hit a girl?
Such a bitch.
I don't know what it is but every time I'm around her. I feel this need to protect her from everything bad. I have a sister, whom I'm very protective of too. But with Amber it's like she's a drug that I'm addicted to.
A physical necessity. I can't be ok unless she's next to me. When she's next to me I always have to be touching her. Whether it's holding her hand, grabbing her waist, anything that ensures that she's there.
I'm complete when she's there.

Don't worry you guys will be seeing a lot of Alex in this book. She's a very important chapter. She's basically another sister of Jayden's at this point. Anyways goodnight y'all it's 4am and my sleep schedule doesn't exist at this point😃💀
BTW: it's currently like almost 5 am for me and I've been working on this for hours. So this isn't edited. In fact, I didn't even proof read it. So there's probably mistakes I'll fix it tomorrow. Just wanted to put something out there for y'all. Since this isn't my English assignment for school I don't need y'all to come at me for stupid grammar mistakes. But if it does trigger you sm I'm sorry I'm tired asf rn and don't have the energy to this so deal with it👍
Also please stop asking me when the next update is. I don't freaking know. I don't have a schedule I simply write when I feel like it. So on a rough estimate like I'll put one out AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. But it's usually once a day or once a couple of days.
