*Readers pov*
You: Popping back for a smoke.
I say before reaching for the door to the backyard.
Hopper: Woah, woah, woah. You're like 11...Forget it, coming with you.
You: Suit yourself.
I leave the door open for him to come through.
I see the crew looking at us.
You: We'll be back in a minute.
I say before closing the door as Hopper walks out in time. There's two plastic chairs on the wooden floor where we both take a seat. The coldness of nature being as cold as the chair.
We both pull out a fag and put it in our mouths. I pull out mine out of my pants pocket as he pulls out his from his rough coat pocket.
I light my finger on fire and light my fag as I puff. Puff out the stress from today while thinking on how complicated this whole thing is.
Hopper: Fuck...Fuck.
He forcefully spins his lighter for no fire outcome.
Hopper: Kid.
I show him my finger on fire, he shrugs and leans closer to it with the fag in his mouth. The fire lights his fag as he leans back, puffing.
Hopper: Wow. Thanks.
We continue to puff in silence, listening to the chirping of nature. A single word could be shared and it wouldn't even ruin this great feeling.
Hopper: What now?..
You: We close the gate with Eleven.
Hopper: It could kill her.
He takes a big puff after that.
You: No other choice.
Hopper: You remind me nothing of her. You're cold-hearted and emotionless...
You: How could you know?
We both outhale tobacco in sync.
Hopper: I'm making a fair accusation.
The darkness is really relaxing to look at.
You: When you found me on that road...I really needed a cigarette.
He continues to chuckle.
Hopper: How did you end up in that lab?
You: Hop', I really, really have no idea. I been there since birth. Nothing to remember. Nothing to love. Except...
I look back at the window. Seeing no one. Weird.
Hopper: Eleven. She's really is something, huh?
You: Friends since birth although I wasn't that long with her. I was so dangerous and troublesome-
Hopper: You had to be kept down in the ground. I know, One.
You: Word gets around. I really hate the name "One". It dosen't feel right. Maybe Mike will give me a name or something.
Hopper suddenly turns his body to me.
Hopper: If Mike tries some kissy shit on Eleven, please for me, end it.
You: What do you mean?
My body slouched. One hand in my pocket.
Hopper: If Mike tries to date Eleven, do what you can to stop it. Please, One. Please. I'd rather you date her for God's sake. Please.
He whispers to me with pleading hands while the almost smoked cigarette is inbetween his rough fingers.
You: Yeah, you got it. I would want kill anyone who wants to touch her.
We fist bump.
Hopper: Good. This is why I like you kid, remind me of me.
We both flick our cigs out to the grass in sync.
We hear shouting inside.
Hopper: Wills in danger. I'll go with Eleven to close the gate while Jonathan, Nancy and Joyce leave off with Will to Oaktree. Steve will take care of you guys.
He made a plan on the spot just from sounds inside.
You: Should I come with?
Hopper: No, that would be boring to read as a reader.
You: Ok. Tell Steve I'm...
I inhale the cold air.
You: Back here.
Hopper: Yeah, later.
*Timeskip*
Its been half an hour and I'm not bored out here. Its relaxing.
Max: We. Are. Fucking. BOOKING IT!!
She burst through the door as I quickly enter the house, seeing one knocked out jit.
You: Billy! BILLY!! Wake up!!
I kneel next to him. Looking at his messed up and bloody nose.
Max: Let him go! I came back for you. Steve is already in the car knocked out!
I quickly exit the house with her and enter the driver seat.
Lucas: One is driving?! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE A PAINFUL DEATH!!
He screams.
Max goes in the passanger and passes me the keys as I start the engine. I step on the gear pedal and switch gears to 1. I then slowly extange the gas pedal and gear pedal as we set off. I quickly change it to 2nd gear and go faster after letting go off the gas and back on the gear pedal for the exchange.
You: Where to?
Mike: Where Hopper found you.
You: How do you know tha-
Dustin: Drive!
I calmly drive at a fast speed. We're going 90.
You: At the road or the hills?
Max: Hills. Right?
Mike: Yeah.
Holy shit this car is clean.
Max: Wow..such a great driver. Thats so attractive...
You: What did you say?
Max: N-Nothing!
Dustin: She said-
Max: Shut it or else you can say goodbye to your teeth!
Dustin: Not my teeth! Please!
You: Shut up. Don't make me turn this car around.
We get to the forest part. Almost there. Its pretty dark but my headlights keep it nice and in line.
Steve: Nancy?
Mike: The fuck?
Dustin: Shhhh. Shhhhhh. Shhhh. You put up a good fight, you lost but you put up a good fight.
You: Billy...Billy...
I softly whisper.
Max: Don't worry about him. I don't know why you even like him.
You: He's..just like me. He's like my brother.
Steve: Is he driving? Oh, lord. Oh God.
He begins rumbling back there as Dustin tries to keep him down.
You: I was so distracted I didn't hear anything happen.
Lucas: You still smell of smoke. Yuck.
Max whispers while looking out the window.
Max: More like yum...
I step on it and we reach 100.
Steve: WHAT IS HAPPENING?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
Mike: WE'RE GOING TOO FAST!!
Lucas: WE'RE GOING TO DIE!!
Dustin: NOT MY PEARLS!!!
You: Shut up!
Max: Left!
Lucas: LEFT TO SHANAI!!
We are going too fast and I see the trail to the forest so I drift there as they all scream super loud. 1 of them screams like a bitch, squealing.
You: Max stop squealing so loud!
Max: Thats not me!
Dustin proceeds to squeal as loud as possible.
Once the drift is finished we start flying through.
I can't hear myself think from the shouts.
Once we arrive I drift and pull the e-break making everyone jump forward and hit their heads.
I say in a deep and tired voice.
You: Get..the fuck out of my car.
