Two holy fires were four members were going start their new life, many priests were reciting hymns but both are different ones, one was for the birth of two fire borns and another for starting a new journey of two personalities.
Drupad was burning in rage wanted to revenge for his humiliation and wanted a son who would because of Drona's death. After so many trials he was said to conduct a sacrifice for 15 days to attain a son and a daughter who were written in his destiny. This was the last day of sacrifice his looks were constantly on the holy fire from which his son and daughter were going to come. Though he didn't wish for a daughter he thought she would be a great alliance for him.
On the other side, a person was made to sit in front of the holy fire by just wrapping silk cloth around his waist and a cloth on his shoulders devoid of jewellery just a basic on his forehead looking like sun god himself emitting radiance around him. Karn was impatiently waiting for his bride to be called and his clothing was a bit uncomfortable for him but it was South tradition so had to wear including all the all men who are attending the wedding were having the same dress code except basic and altar in their hand and legs
Drupad was asked to give offerings to sacrifice to attain his son. "I Maharaj drupad sacrifice my sword to the sacrifice so that much son would be as my sword and slay all my enemies, I sacrifice my armour to the yagna so that my son would be able to protect me from all sides at the time of danger, at last, I offer to yagna my blood which is boiling for revenge of my humiliation so that my son be able to take revenge of his father," he said cutting his hand and dropping blood into it the fire rose a bit high and a man was appearing inside the yagna
"Drupad your son would be known for his courage and he is born to defeat gurudron gods has named him as drishtadyumma" priest said, drupad was feeling proud seeing his son, drishtadyumma touched his feet and took his blessings he embraced him to his heart "my son" he felt proud seeing his son in front of him
A priest has asked to call the bride a thin cloth with a Swastik mark on it was placed in front of Karn blocking his view to see vritika. Subhadra and anwita were supporting the cloth Vindhyawalli and Bali were sitting
As the groom's parents as there, Karn's parents were not able to attend his wedding in a short time. Krishna Balram Ashwatthama and bheeshm were bringing the bride in palaki towards mandap according to the tradition which was done by the bride's brothers. Sarama forwarded her hand to help vritika she gave coconut which was in her hands to her and got down the pallaki
Vibhishan and sarama escorted her towards another side of the cloth where and seated on either side of her, Karn tried to peek other side earning a smack on his head by vindhyavali. In less time both of them bonded well she was like another mother to him surprisingly even Bali considered him as his son. Karn pouted towards Vidhyavali making her shake her head sternly. He sighed and continued the rituals sulking
"Drupad now give offerings to gain your daughter," the priest said, "I ask gods to give a daughter to me whose life is full of struggles and pain," he said making all the persons present there gasp "so that after overcoming those hurdles she can get a great personality
I offer this sacred ash to yagn she would be pure and soft like this yet should gain all impurities in this world even then this world has to see her as pure
I offer these grains to yagn so that my daughter like this can give strength to all even after getting weak she has this capability in her heart
I offer this Gulaal to yagn which never changes colour in the same way she would never lose her valour
I offer this sindhur which is considered as a beautiful thing in this world she should be the most beautiful person in this world and should make another feel they are beautiful to
I offer this lotus flowers like these flowers my daughter after being in pain also should emit the fragrance of strength can gods give me a daughter like this" drupad yelled the fire extinguished at once and again rose high to sky a female figure was taking shape inside yagn
"Drupad she is your daughter who will be known as Draupadi as your daughter, Panchali princess of Panchal, yojagandi whose fragrance travels for a mile, nityayuvani who never ages and at last she is named as Krishna by gods accept her Draupadi," Yaaj said a female figure stepped out of the yagna
"Drupad you have asked pain and hurdles in her whole life but everything has a stop even her hurdles have a stopping point where she will lose her everything but could gain many things her saviour has taken birth already who would guide her through her life ups and downs, you will be remembered after her only drupad and Putri Draupadi your destiny and saviour are two different persons but both will come to you finding you when the right time comes don't upset or lose her by your negligence and don't take her words for granted that will lead to your destruction understand this is what we can give you dearly," upjaay said blessing her she nodded her head and took his blessings and turned towards drupad to take blessings who was in a bit formal manner with her
Karn's legs were washed by Vibhishan and sarama as the groom is considered as a form of Vishnu and their daughter as Laxmi and handing him their daughter. And those water was sprinkled on their heads
Vritika's hand was placed in Karn's hand supported by their respective parents, they were asked to place a betel lead with jaggery and jeera paste on it on each other's head without removing the cloth in between them some hymns were reciting and now priest has asked to remove the obstruction in Karn's view he was more than happy now he lifted his head a bit to look his love who was looking not less than an apsara in wedding saree. His breath hitched seeing her in the bridal look he gazed at her top to bottom drinking his image into him her black luscious hair tied up as bun and adorned with flowers on it, her charcoal eyes which were reflecting love towards him, lips which were curved into a large smile. Her long fingers were decorated with Alta. Her waist which was peeking from the saree
Vritika's gaze was totally on Karn who was looking like a god in his attire his bare chest with only janjam 'a tread' on the shoulder to his waist. His love and desire filled eyes which were desperately gazing her top to bottom
Priests were asking both of them to perform Pooja to Kalash on which thali [mangalsutra] was placed, as it was completed Karn was asked to get up and tie taali around vritika's neck with three knots. Vritika bowed her head down in front of Karn who has bent a bit to her level and placed the taali around her neck making it fall on her heart representing he resides in her heart and tied three knots around her neck. Vritika was having tears in her eyes looking at her taaliaround her neck she picked it up and touched her eyes to it representing her respect for that pieces of jewellery.
Flowers were showered on the couple by devas who were witnessing this from Devlok and people present there
Karn pecked her forehead and asking her to get up giving his hand she accepted and stood for completing seven rounds around the holy fire. Dushala came forward and tied the edge of vritika's saree to Karn's shoulder cloth. They were asked to connect their little fingers while taking 7 vows around the holy fire
They completed seven rounds around holy fire promising togetherness, love, support and happiness throughout their life.
Karn kneeled in front of her asking her to place her legs on his knee placed beautiful toe rings on both her legs.
"Now you both are declared as husband and wife for your life take blessings of elders vats Putri" priest has ordered them they have taken blessings from all the persons present there who were elder than Karn and vritika. And youngers took their blessings including Duryodhan which made vritika feel having a lot of responsibility on her at once
"There are more rituals dear you both have to perform," sarma said to them making all anwita squeal in joy "best part of the wedding," she said jumping at once Mayank smacked her head
"Thalabralu it's like a fun game both bride and groom should pour pearls, rice, rubies on each other's heads it's ritual of. Happiness" anwita said ordering dasis to bring the plates which were set 10 plates of different items were brought pearls of different colours rice rubies and all Karn and vritika sat facing each other first they picked rice and placed hands near to each other and when priests ordered to start the game they started to pour it on each other's head
All youngsters divided into teams vritika was given five palters and Karn was given five competitions started a total of five rounds who empty the items in the plate first is termed as a winner they started to play rapidly and fast vritika was wontedly moving back and dushala was pushing her forward
First-round was of rice: vritika won that by emptying the whole plate on Karn at once
The second round was of rubies: Karn won by cheating by slowly changing their plates where Karn's was more left
The third round was of pearls: again vritika won by tricking him with help of Duryodhan and Ashwatthama
The fourth round was of emerald: Karn won with help of anwita who caught vritika tightly so that she couldn't move
Fifth-round was of sapphire: both teams were excited to see who will win this time but to their shock, both of them emptied both their plates at once by powering it over each other.
"These precious stones be disturbed among the people as a gift of my daughter's Vibha's marriage" Vibhishan announced making all people who were witnessing hoot of their name
"Lankadeesh Vibhishan ki Jai"
"Vibhishan Putri Rajkumari vibha ki Jai"
" Karn sangini ki Jai"
"Vritika Vallabh ki Jai"
"Samrat Karn ki Jai"
Hails were echoing around the hall, vritika and Karn joined their hands in front of them and bowed down as in respect for their blessings
