"I hope you are on your way to me....."
According to Manjiri, the air in the room stopped circulating the moment she heard Shaurya's voice.
"Hello... Manjiri..."
She looked at the phone and took a deep breath in order to try calming her disturbed mind. Hearing his voice after so long some what lightened her gloomy mood.
"Am I audible to you?"
"Hmm..."
She answered him after coming back to her senses. He sighed and stated
"Tomorrow around 1 in the afternoon, an important parcel will be delivered...and as rest of the family members will not be at home at that time, so you receive that parcel and immediately send me the pictures of the papers kept in that. Alright?"
"Okay."
No one uttered anything after that. When the other end of the phone went silent for a long time, she once thought that he had hung up.
On the other hand, Shaurya had no idea what to say to Manjiri next, how to engage her in a talk. Although he was very tired and was feeling hell sleepy but still he wanted to talk to her once before dozing off, therefore he had dialed her number as soon as he returned from work.
After a long while he opened his mouth to speak something but before him she spoke hesitantly. He was really surprised to hear these words coming from her side. She said hurriedly while stuttering
"Are you... okay? Did you eat some...thing?"
Her concerning words were enough to give him warmth all across. His lips automatically curved upwards, he took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. He replied simply
"Yes, I ate.....
Umm! How have you been?"
"Good...I have been good."
She didn't understand what to answer, so whatever first thought came to her, she spoke. But only she herself knew that her heart wasn't feeling well a few minutes ago. The problem was that she wasn't habitual of loneliness.
Even Shaurya was understanding that what she said wasn't right as her answer felt so formal, and honestly he never liked this formality between them. But still there was peace in him that at least she was talking to him. And he would definitely lie if he ever denies that he was longing to talk to her. Breaking the silence, this time he asked her after clearing his throat
"Well how has your day been?"
"Mine...was as usual. How was...your day?"
"Ahh! Pretty hectic."
"Oh!!!... Then rest."
When Shaurya heard this coming from her he grinned at her concern. He really wanted to continue the conversation but his drowsiness was stopping him from continuing.
"Fine. Peace out!"
And with this he disconnected the call. And with a smile on his face he drifted off to sleep as soon as he hit the bed.
But for Manjiri, sleep was far away from her. She was turning and tossing on the bed time to time repeatedly. A lot of things were going on in her mind. After struggling for like more than half an hour, she too fall asleep.
"Some moments are small yet very special....."

After removing the brown tape, Manjiri took out the papers from the parcel. She picked her phone and quickly tapped her phone's screen and one by one clicked the pictures of all the papers.
As soon as she sent the pictures, the other side quickly texted
"Thanks!"
Pressing the power button, she was about to put her phone on the table but suddenly she received another message from Shaurya
"What were you doing?"
She muttered under her breath
"As usual, getting bored..."
Thinking for a moment, she typed out
"I was doing what you instructed me to do..."
When she didn't receive any text from his side, she realized that perhaps she shouldn't have given such an answer to him. She wondered
"Was my answer rude???"
All of a sudden, she felt guilty for crossing the line. She mentally scolded herself for texting him so... Handling the matter, she texted him
"I didn't mean to say that...
I'm sorry!"
Even after apologizing, there was no response from the other side for a long time. And due to this Manjiri was feeling really very bad. For a moment, she felt like that maybe he had dropped off to sleep or may blacked out... Who knows???
Suddenly her phone beeped due to the incoming notifications, she immediately tapped her phone's screen and found three messages from Shaurya
"Relax Girl!
Actually I need to perform a surgery which is scheduled in 15 minutes, so I was called there therefore I couldn't reply...
Need to go now, catch you later!"
She took a sigh of relief after reading his texts, her lips got twisted in irritation at her own silliness. She quickly shrugged it off and typed out
"Hope you perform well. Good luck!"
With a faint smile, Shaurya shook his head at his wife's childish innocence and after closing the phone, immediately got busy with the work.
"Time wasted with you,
Isn't actually time wasted at all......"

"Girlfriend - Am I pretty or ugly?
Boyfriend - I think you are both.
Girlfriend - What do you mean? Please explain.
Boyfriend - It is simple. You are pretty ugly."
Ved, Adishri and Manjiri widened their eyes in astonishment while listening to Dev.
"You really forwarded this joke to Sam? My God! she will get mad at you." Adishri inquired Dev.
"Yes Bhabhi I really forwarded this to her." Dev replied while cackling.
"You're impossible you know." Ved commented while shaking his head.
"Thank you Bhai!"
"I wasn't praising you fool."
"But still I'll take that as a compliment."
"Dev can't you be a little nice to Sam? Every time you keep looking for a chance to fight..." Adishri interrupted.
"Sometimes I wish I were a nice person to her but then..." Dev paused.
"Then what?" Ved asked him while raising his eyebrows.
"But then I laugh and continue my day...
After all irritating and annoying her are my favourite hobbies."
Hearing him Ved rolled his eyes while Adishri helplessly smiled while holding her head. And Manjiri.....
Well today Manjiri was not taking that much interest in the post dinner conversation as her mind was somewhere else. She was checking her phone from time to time.
"Miru Bhabhi whose call or text are you waiting for?"
Dev said looking at her with a teasing grin. She immediately replied him in a low voice while looking down feeling embarrassed
"Nobody's"
"Ok if you say so." Dev scoffed.
Ved and Adishri also looked at her. After understanding the true meaning of Dev's words and Manjiri's reaction, they tried to stifle their laughs.
Raising his hand Dev announced
"Guys listen! How about we plan something exciting when Shaurya Bhai returns back?? It will prove to be a change for all...
So what do you people say???"
"Pretty good idea...but first let him come back then we'll think." Ved told him making Adishri nod in agreement.
"What's there to think???...We'll go and that's final. Like I said it'll be a change for all...and think about Miru Bhabhi too, she gets bored in staying home all day.
Are you convinced or shall I say more?"
Dev added and this time his words made the couple think about it deeply. They felt guilty, as for a moment both of them felt as if they had imprisoned Manjiri in the house. Both looked at each other with sad eyes.
Ved chanced a glance in Manjiri's direction and found a whirlwind of emotions passing through her eyes. With a great difficulty he opened his mouth to say something but was cut by the loud ringtone tootling from Dev's phone.
"Sam is calling...I should get ready to be scolded.
Bye peeps!"
After saying this, Dev picked up the call and made his way towards his room.
Here, on the other side Manjiri too was contemplating whether she should put forward her demand in front of her Dii and Jiju or not. She doesn't know if they'll welcome her demand or not. Although the thing she wanted to ask matters her a lot yet the fear of disapproval was stopping her to ask them. But at last anyhow she made up her mind. She was about to speak but by then Adishri had stood up and was making her way towards her room.
With a heavy feeling Adishri was climbing the stairs but all of a sudden she froze on her steps when she heard her little sister saying........
"Things shift externally after they shift internally....."
