School has started back again and now they were getting ready for school.
"sorry I can't send you girls to school today" Y/N says.
"it's okay, y/n. You already made us a nice breakfast" Nayeon kissed Y/N's cheek before grabbing her phone.
"yah! You can't just do that unnie!" Jihyo said.
"it's not my fault you're slow" Nayeon stick out her tongue at Jihyo and laughed.
Y/N looked at the two and smiled, she then turned to Jeongyeon, "how are you, Jeongie?"
Jeongyeon looked down in embarrassment.
"don't look down. I want to see that beautiful face of yours" Y/N lifted Jeongyeon's chin up to face her eyes.
"why are you being embarrassed about? You don't like the name?"
"no, it's not that. I.. I'm just not used to it. Momo doesn't even call me like that"
"then someone should start" Y/N smiled, "you have fun at school today. I'll see you later"
Y/N then escorted the two girls to the car and waved them goodbye as the car drove off.
"you girls seem to get along just fine with Ms Min" the driver said.
"obviously, we love her. She knows what she's doing. I like that" Nayeon said.
"she's reliable" Jihyo said.
"she's an awesome listener" Jeongyeon said.
"eh?" the two looked at Jeongyeon.
"what?"
"you told Y/N things that you didn't want to tell us..." Nayeon said.
"why? did we do something wrong?" Jihyo frowned.
"no-"
"so you trust y/n more than us?" Nayeon started acting jealous.
"it's not that. She was just there. You two were dead asleep already. I didn't want to wake you up"
"you can talk to us about anything" Jihyo said.
"if you want to talk bad about Y/N, go ahead. We won't blame you" Nayeon said.
"eh? I thought you loved her too much, maybe more than us now" Jeongyeon said.
"you thought but it's not true. My sisters are my first ever priority" Nayeon flipped her hair.
"alright, we're here. Have fun today, girls" their driver said.
"thank you" the three of them said but Nayeon stopped halfway, "wait, why did we reach so fast?"
"ah, I found a new path that gets to school faster, Ms Im"
"ah I see, thank you though, cause we are late, so move!" Jihyo said as she shoved Nayeon out the door and Jeongyeon gout of the car laughing.
The girls weren't popular nor were they lonely people in school. They have a small group of friends and when combine the three groups together, they are still same but students envy their friendship.
It benefits them because their courses are similar such as having math and coding. Since Jeongyeon and her friends are good at it, they help the other two groups.
While Jihyo's group help with math and Nayeon's group help with tips on cheating and money. Maybe Nayeon's group may not be as good in studies but they are good in having fun plus everyone in Nayeon's group has good connections and good jobs with great pay so none has a problem with her group.
Nayeon's group:
"wah~ what should we do after we graduate?" Jennie said.
"I don't know. The beach?" Nayeon said, "honestly, I don't know. I feel like staying in"
"let's go for a picnic or just hang at Jennie's house" Irene suggested.
"when can we go to Nayeon's house?" Jisoo said.
"come on, you girls know you can't come over"
"yeah yeah, daddy issues but like please~" Jennie whined.
"you said your dad is out of the country right?" Jisoo said.
"yeah, why?"
"then you can have us over, duh" Jisoo said.
"no way, I ain't breaking rules"
"but you break school rules" Irene said.
"that's different"
Jeongyeon's group:
"oh, I got it now" Seulgi said.
"really?" Wendy said.
"yep, look" Seulgi turned her laptop to Wendy.
"oh, I spelled it wrong" and the two of them laughed.
"what about you Jeongyeon?" Wendy asked.
"she's probably on the last codes" Seulgi said.
"almost right, I'm on the second last" Jeongyeon said.
"as expected from the best" Nayeon said.
"shut up unnie" Jeongyeon said.
"why are you two always so mean to each other?" Joy asked.
"because she loves me" Nayeon giggled and Jeongyeon sighs.
"there's never peace with the two of you mostly" Seulgi laughed.
Jihyo's group:
"look at this!" Yeri shows her dress that she bought.
"that's pretty, Yeri" Rosé said, "wait, did you guys finish the homework?"
"we had homework?" Lisa looked at
Rosé.
"yeah, don't tell me you didn't do?"
"eh??" Lisa scratched her head.
Jihyo laughed, "you already did it, Lisa"
"I did?" and Jihyo nodded.
"when?"
"yesterday.. you dont even remember?" Jihyo said.
"pabo" Yeri said, "why you asking? You didn't do it right?"
"sadly, no" Rosé, "i'm honestly regretting it taking this course"
"you only joined because Lisa forced you to" Yeri said.
"Jihyo, help me pleaseeee" Rosé played begged.
"okay okay" Jihyo smiled.
"this is your fault, Lisa Manoban" Rosé glared.
"what? I forced you to but stopped cause I felt bad" Lisa gave her the 'wtf' face
"yeah, I felt bad to reject you plus it's no fun without you"
"so both is at fault" Yeri said, "alright, shut up and let Rosé work her brain"
"how is Chaeyoung doing?" Jennie asked when she came over to their side of the table.
"just fine" Lisa said.
"she's dying, isn't she?
"yeah" and the two laughed.
"shh" Yeri said.
"sorry" Jennie mouthed.
After school:
The three girls were waiting at the bench, waiting for their driver.
"waiting for your driver?" Irene asked and Nayeon nodded, "you're so lucky to have a driver"
"not her fault that she's live far" Jennie said.
"yeah but like a driver that you don't need to pay" Irene says.
"he's not free" Nayeon glares at her.
"can he drive us home?" Jennie said.
"I can ask him later"
"yay" Jennie clapped.
"Jeongyeon-ah!" she turned to find Wendy calling out for her with Seulgi walking behind.
"here" Wendy passed her a paper.
"what's this?"
"the data you asked for"
"ah, thanks"
"me and Seulgi will be going off first, you can go out tomorrow right?" and Jeongyeon nodded, "alright, see you tomorrow"
"here" Seulgi gave her a paper bag, "it's a gift for being great friend. See you tomorrow"
"oh, thank you"
Seulgi smiled and joined with Wendy afterwards.
"waiting for your driver?" Yeri asked as she sat beside Jihyo.
"yeah, where's the other two?"
"Lisa is tutoring Rosé. She is really regretting"
"she can still drop out and move to another"
"that's what I told her but she says she wants to keep pushing because we are in that class"
"she's so cute" Jihyo smiled.
"but I'm cuter right?" Yeri looked at Jihyo , hoping to hear a yes.
"you're both cute"
"I'll take that as a yes" Yeri smiled as she thought to herself.
"hold up, who is that cutie over there?" they heard one of the nearby student saying. They looked where hey were pointing and it was Y/N who was leaning onto the car as she looked at her phone.
"this is the first to see someone so cute" Jennie said.
"so you're saying I'm not adorable?" Nayeon glared at Jennie.
"you know what I mean. Don't act all mad now" Jennie giggled.
Yeri started getting jealous as she saw Jihyo stood up and ran to the girl, giving her a hug. The others the came to them.
"meet our friend, Min Y/N" Nayeon smirked.
"eh?" their friends said.
"Min Y/N? Do you have a brother named Min Yoongi?" Irene asked.
"yes. You know him?" they looked at Irene then at Y/N then back to Irene.
"I don't know him personally but I do know that he is an alumni here. Am I right?"
"yes you're right"
"since you're their new friend, let's be friends too. How old are you, Y/N?" Jennie asked.
"I'm 24 this year, born on 22 August"
"single?"
"Jennie..." Nayeon whispered.
"currently, yes"
"so you have dated before? Straight?" Jennie asked and Y/N nodded.
"would you excuse us for awhile?" Nayeon said as she pulled Jennie away from them.
"what's wrong?"
"what are you trying to do?"
"just getting to know her that's all. Gotta make sure that this 'new friend' doesn't break my bestie's heart"
"... oh"
"if you're worried that I might snatch her away, I know you love her" Jennie patted Nayeon's head before going back to the others.
"you're lucky you're not a guy?" Irene said.
"eh? why is that?"
"I would have killed you" Irene smiled.
"good to know" Y/N said.
"wait, why are you here, Y/N? Ended school already?" Jennie asked.
"I've finished my education"
"eh- how-"
"hahaha she studied abroad and now she has to go, okay bye" Nayeon then opened the door and pushed Y/N in, "take the hint" Nayeon whispered to Y/N and she closed the door.
"well, it's nice to meet you girls" Y/n said as the other three went into the car.
Once they drove off, Irene and Jennie were having their arms crossed.
"something just doesn't feel right with that Y/N" Irene said.
"what are you? psychic?" Jennie looks at Irene.
"who knows.. she wakes up even before her alarm rings.. or like that other time when she stopped functioning and the next, she was trying to catch the falling painting in the café" Yeri says.
"I have no idea but back to Y/N, I have a feeling something bad is going to happen" Irene says.
"don't jinx them" Jennie slaps Irene on the shoulder.
'you should confess to her before Y/N confesses to Jihyo" one of the students said as they walked past them.
"do you have a problem with her or something?" Jennie shouted at the two students.
The two students rolled their eyes as they turned around and they froze seeing Jennie death glaring at them.
"Jennie sunbaenim... what a s-surprise?" one of them said.
"if you have a problem with yeri, that means you have a problem with me"
"n-no no problem at you"
"idiot, they were right there" her friend whispered to her.
"how was I supposed to know how their backs looks like? plus you didn't even warn me" the girl whispered back to her friend.
"got something to say?" Jennie raised an eyebrow.
"n-no problem at all" the girls said. She bowed, "we're sorry, Yeri" and the girls quickly walked away.
"if they talk bad about you, tell us" Irene said.
"thanks but they are gonna think that I'm weak plus I have Jihyo and the other two so I'll be okay. Don't worry about me, unnies"
"if you say so but if it gets serious, tell us. We know how to deal with idiots like that" Irene says.
"idiots like them come and go just like trash, it's fine" Yeri said.
The two were shocked, "I was not expecting that from you.." Jennie said but she was proud.
"Jihyo taught me" and Irene shows a thumbs up.
"you four really take care of each other well" Irene said.
"and you treat us well too" Yeri said.
"let's go home together" Jennie said, "I'll call a grab" as she took her phone out.
Meanwhile, as Y/N was driving, it was awfully quiet. Y/N glanced over at Nayeon, "are you okay?"
"yeah yeah just fine"
"you won't leave us right y/n?" Jeongyeon asked.
"where is this all coming from?" Y/N asked.
"will you or will you not leave us?" Jihyo said.
"if this was about earlier, of course I'll choose you girls over them. I mean I am closer to you than to them but I don't plan on getting close to them" Y/N explains.
"ah.. they're jealous" Y/N thought to herself as she smiles.
"why are you smiling" Nayeon said.
"nothing. You girls are too cute" Y/N said.
At home:
Y/N was telling her goodnights to the girls. When she said goodnight to Jihyo, she was stopped halfway when Jihyo hugged her.
"please tell me you'll protect us forever" Jihyo said as she didn't want to let go from the hug.
Y/N didn't answer, she didn't want to lie to them. Lying to them is as good as lying to herself that she will and have to do what's right in the end.. but it didn't felt right for Y/N.
