Quinn's POV
Santana, Brynn and I were heading back to my house. Earlier that day my mom had text me to let me know that Santana and Brynn's mom had called her and wanted the girls to come back home. My mom didn't say if their dad was gone or not but Santana was going to tell Brynn while we were heading back to my house.
Santana: Brynn I need to tell you something
Brynn: What is it Tana
Santana: we have to go back home today
Brynn: why
Santana: mom wants us too
Brynn: I don't want to go back with mom I want to stay with Quinn
Santana: I know you do I want to stay with her too but we have to go home
Brynn: Is dad gone
Santana: I don't know
Brynn: then why are we going back
Santana: because we have too Brynn
Brynn quit talking after that and just sat in the back when I pulled up to my house we saw their mom's car. I got out and opened the back door for Brynn and held my hand out, Brynn took my hand and Santana came around and took Brynn's other hand. My mom and Maribel came out of the house.
Maribel: there's my girls, I've missed you both
Santana: I'm sure you did
Maribel: enough with being sarcastic Santana, You and Brynn go get your stuff so we can go home
I went with Santana and Brynn upstairs and Santana started putting all of their stuff into their bags Brynn sat on the bed and had tears running down her face.
Quinn: what's the matter Brynn
Brynn: I don't want to go home I want to stay here with you
Quinn: I know Brynn but you have to go
Santana: Brynn can you go get our stuff out of the bathroom please
Brynn got up and walked out of the room
Santana: I don't think our dads gone
Quinn: why do you say that
Santana: moms angry, she's only like this when he's home and has been drinking
Quinn: what can I do
Santana: nothing right now, but I'm scared Quinn
Quinn: I know you are, call me if anything happens okay
Santana: I will
Brynn walked back into the room and handed the stuff to Santana
Quinn: I'll be right back
I walked into my room and grabbed the stuffed monkey that Brynn had been using while she was here and walked back into the room that Santana and Brynn were in
Quinn: Brynn I want you to take this with you that way when you are feeling sad or scared you can hug it
Brynn: thank you Quinn
Brynn took the monkey and held it close to her. Santana picked up their bag and took Brynn's hand and they started walking back downstairs to where Maribel and my mom was waiting
Maribel: are you girls ready to go
Santana: sure
Maribel: lets go then
Brynn turned around and gave me a hug and I hugged her back.
Quinn: I'll see you tomorrow when I pick you up for school okay
Brynn: Okay
Santana: thank you Quinn see you tomorrow
Quinn: see you tomorrow
Santana took Brynn's hand and they walked out to Maribel's car and got in Santana sat in the back with Brynn. Once they drove away I turned to my mom
Quinn: how could you let her take them
Judy: I didn't have a choice Quinn she's their mom
Quinn: did you make sure their dad was gone
Judy: she says he is
Quinn: I don't think he is Santana said that her mom acts like this when her dad is home and has been drinking
Judy: Quinn there isn't anything I can do
Quinn: of course there isn't
Judy: stop with the attitude Quinn
Quinn: I'm going to my room
I went up to my room and slammed the door shut and sat on my bed doing homework waiting for Santana to text me
Santana's POV

I got into the back seat with Brynn and kept a hold of her hand. Our mom drove us home and when we pulled up to our house I saw our dads car
Santana: I thought we weren't going to come back here when he was still living here
Maribel: I have talked to him and he has said that he has never hit you or Brynn
Santana: and you believe him
Maribel: yes I do, now get out of the car and come inside
I took Brynn's hand and we both got our of the car, I grabbed our bag and we followed our mom inside. Once we got inside we were met by our dad who once again was drunk
Mr. Lopez: well it's about time I see the two of you come give your dad a hug
Santana: Your drunk dad
Mr. Lopez: no I'm not now get over here and give your father a hug
Brynn let go of my hand and walked over to our dad as she got closer to him he acted like he was going to hug her but ended up slapping her
Santana: why did you do that
Mr. Lopez: that's for leaving
Santana: she didn't do anything wrong it was me that took her
Mr. Lopez: oh trust me I know that
Santana: Brynn come here
Brynn started walking towards me but our dad grabbed her arm and hit her again I went over to them and put myself inbetween our dad and Brynn
Santana: don't touch her again
Mr. Lopez: what are you going to do about it
Santana: not let you touch her
before I could do or say anything else he hit me and started hitting Brynn. At some point he just stopped and went up to his room. I grabbed Brynn's hand and took her upstairs to my room. Brynn hadn't said anything and was just sitting on my bed
Santana: Brynn I'm sorry
Brynn didn't say anything so I climbed onto my bed and pulled her next to me and held her until she fell asleep. We both woke up the next morning and got ready for school. I put some make up on Brynn's face and myself then Quinn text me and said that she was outside waiting for us so I took Brynn's hand and we went downstairs and sure enough he was down there before we could reach the front door he hit Brynn in the face and then hit me, before he could hit us again I took Brynn's hand and took her out to Quinn's car. When we got out there Brynn was crying Quinn got out of the car
Quinn: what's going on
Santana: lets just get out of here and then I will tell you
Quinn got back in the car and Brynn and I got in. Quinn started to drive away
Quinn: what happened
Santana: When we got home he wanted a hug I could tell he was drunk and told him
Brynn: I thought he would leave us alone if I hugged him so I went over to him, it's my fault
Santana: no Brynn it's not your fault
Quinn: what happened after that Santana
Santana: he hit me then he started hitting Brynn again, this morning when we were coming out to your car he hit both of us again
Quinn; you guys can't go back
Santana: where will we go Quinn
Quinn: to a hotel with me
Santana: What are you talking about
Quinn: last night after you and Brynn left my mom and I got into a fight so I left and got a hotel
Santana: I couldn't ask you to let us stay with you again
Quinn: well its a good thing your not asking then, Brynn how does coming and staying with me at a hotel until we can find somewhere else to stay sound
Brynn: can we Santana please
Santana: is that what you want to do Brynn
Brynn: yes, I like being with Quinn I feel safe with her and I know you like to be with her too
Santana: are you sure it's okay Quinn
Quinn: yes San I am
Santana: okay we will stay with you then, I'll start looking for a job so that I can help with things
Quinn: we will get it figured out
We pulled up to the school and got out Brynn grabbed my hand and we walked into school
