Kabanata 8 | "You laugh..."
I am currently reading the reports of ZGC in the library of the mansion when I heard a knocks.
Natigil ako sa ginagawa ko ng marinig ko ito.
"It's open,come in."I blurted.
The door opened and and it exposed the proud Renuah entering the library.
I welcomed him with my sweet smile at talagang itinabi na muna ang ginagawa ko.
I waited for him to get near me,and then he gently bow down his head and kiss my forehead.
"You're busy?"He sweetly asked and examined my table.
Umiling ako at tiningala sya.
"No, I'm just reading some reports...You?Akala ko ba,day off mo during sundays? What are doing here?"I curiously asked.
He leaned his body in my table and eyed me as if he is trying to make sense in front of me.
"Bakit?You don't want me here?"He asked,he even pouted his lips...And God, it's a sin that I don't find him cute instead I found him so hot in that act.
"It's not what I mean...You must enjoy your day off,marami namang nagbabantay sa labas ng mansyon ngayon...You can even visit your family."I insinuated.
"I wanted to celebrate our first week as an official couple you know...But,I guess you don't want that...So,I must leave."Aniya,before he stand and went to the door that left me dumbfounded.
Celebrating our first week of being an official couple?
Really? I never guessed a twenty-nine years old guy like Renuah will be like this!
Huh!What a surprise?!
"Wait,Renuah..."I called him but he opens the door and in the verge of going out but I used my last stroke to prevent him doing it. "Babe,Renuah wait." I said,and it works!!!
He stopped on his track and he slowly averted his gaze to me.
I gave him a cute smile and stand and walked towards him.
He closed the door and meet me halfway.
"What did you just say?"He asked eagerly.
I chuckled and put my arms on his shoulder and hug him, even tho he's so tall.
"That's nothing..."I stated.
I heard his curses in the air and it didn't stop me from smiling.
"Zoya, don't put that trick on me...Say it,I want to hear it."He demanded seriously.
Lumayo ako sa kanya at tinignan sya ng malambing.
"Let's celebrate our first week,Renuah."pag-iiba ko ng usapan pero he came more near me to the point that his neck is already in front of my face.
"I heard what you said,but I want you to repeat it for my soul's sake,babe."He huskily but softly said.
Hindi ako umimik at ipinalibot ang mga braso ko sa bewang nya.I felt his arms also encircled into my body.
"You will leave so I don't have any choice but to say it...Babe."I reasoned out,and then I gave him what he is asking for.
I heard it again...His inaudible curses.
Mas humigpit ang yakap nya at ganon din ang ginawa ko.
"I'm your babe..."Sambit nya na parang hindi makapaniwala.
I never thought this nearly-tito man can act this way...So adorable.
"Go on, change quickly... I'm getting you on a date."He cooly said,and it makes me smile so wide.
Doon ko lang napansin na naka-ayos na sya.
He is wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt that is tucked in,in his black jeans and he paired it in a black topsider shoes.
And to tell it honestly,he have the perfect body to die for...God is so generous that he created this kind of creature.
"Yes,tito!"I mocked and he ended up shouting my name to call me because I hurriedly run to my room.
Hindi ko maiwasang tumawa and when I entered my room,I held my chest and I indulge the happiness I am feeling because of Renuah...So fulfilling and contenting.
Nanatili ako sa likod ng pinto ko para patahanin ang puso kung napakalakas ng tibok.
And when I am calm,I decided to take a quick shower.
And after it,I covered myself a robe and went to my closet to choose for an outfit for our date...
Date... It's my first time,and I don't have any idea what to wear.
After a long while looking at my clothes. I ended up sorting a dark blue knee-length dress that hugs my curves correctly and a black nike sneakers...I smiled when I look at myself in the mirror looking so fine and presentable for a date.
I decided to leave my hair to flow straight at my back and put a natural make-up look.
And when I'm contented for my looks,I grab my small black shoulder bag in my vanity table and I went outside my room.
I am sure that Renuah is waiting downstairs for me and I was right when I saw him waiting at the end of the staircase.
And when he notices my presence,tiningala nya ako.
His eyes who looked at me served a dark but at the same time, gentle look.
Bumaba ako sa hagdanan ng nasa kanya lang ang aking tingin.
He offered his hands,and I wholeheartedly obliged to accept.
"May pupuntahan kayo,Zoya?"Manang Dorna suddenly appeared from the kitchen,at dahil sa tanong nya nabaling ang tingin namin sa kanya.
"Opo."Magalang kung sagot.
"Saan?"She keeps on asking,that I felt my throat becoming dry and can't able to answer her properly.
"Sa-"...
"Magde-date po kami,Manang."Diretsahang sagot ni Renuah,na mas nagpakintal ng gulat sa mukha ng matanda.
Kahit ako ay nagulat sa sinagot nito.
"Huh?...Magde-date kayo?Kayo na ba?"Naguguluhang tanong nito.
Biglang nagsilabas sina Marie at Dina,at nagtatakang hinarap ang matanda.
"Sinong magde-date,Manang?"Tanong ni Marie.
Hindi sumabad si Dina pero pansin rin ang kaguluhan sa kanyang itsura.
Hindi sumagot si Manang Dorna kay Marie,at doon na nabaling ang tingin sa amin ng aming mga kasambahay.
"Opo,kami na po."Sagot ko.
Gulat at pagtataka ang bumalatay sa mukha nila pero hindi ko na iyon masyadong inintindi at binalingan nalang si Renuah.
"Tara na?"Gayak ko.
Tumango sya at inilagay ang malaki at magaspang na palad sa aking baywang.
Sa huling pagkakataon,hinarap ko ang aming mga kasambahay at ngumiti ng kaunti sa kanila.
"Mauna na po kami."Pagpapaalam ko at hindi na namin hinintay na sumagot sila at tuloy-tuloy na nagpunta sa labas ng mansyon.
Inaasahan kung bubungad sa akin ang parati naming ginagamit na sasakyan pero binungad ako ng isang itim na Lincoln Navigator.
"Kaninong,sasakyan yan?"I asked the man beside me.
He only smirked and guided me in the car.
He open the shotgun seat for me,at kahit naguguluhan I still entered.
Umikot sya papuntang driver's seat.
I surveyed the car and I cannot hindered myself but to admire the luxurious design of it. According to its look,sigurado akong mayaman ang sinumang nagmamay-ari nito.
I heard him open the car's door and he swiftly entered.
Hindi katulad noon na ichecheck muna nya ako saka magsasalita sa walkie talkie nya, ngayo'y sinipat nya ako ng tingin at inayos ang seatbelt ko saka nya ako hinalikan sa sentido ko bago sya nagmani-ubra at nagdrive.
Puno ng tanong ang aking utak pero iwinaksi ko na lamang ito.
"Saan tayo pupunta,babe?"I asked him but with a tone of teasing.
I saw his jaw clenching and that made me laugh triumphantly.
"We will go around,but tell me if you have a place in mind. We will go there."He seriously said.
I only nodded but my smile can't vanished.
I directed my vision outside and stayed silent...Not until I felt something in my left knee,and when I look at it a hand is holding it.
At first I only look at the hand in my knee but then I followed the arms and it directed me to the person who is seriously eyeing the road while his other hand is holding the steering wheel.
"Give me your hand,babe."He then talk,at dumapo ang tingin ko sa kamay nyang kanina'y nasa tuhod ko na ngayo'y hinihingi ang kamay ko.
I put my hand into his waiting hand and then he grip it and made it stay that way while he is driving.
"Your hand is so soft,ang payat at liit din."He commented.
I guess I have to take it as a compliment at the same time as an insult...Hmp!!!
"I'm not thin!"I argued.
"Hmm?Says who?"He even mocked.
Pinilit kung kunin ang kamay ko mula sa pagkakahawak nya pero hindi nya ito pinahintulutan.
I heard him laugh,and that is when I got starstruck to it...
He laughed!
I averted my eyes to him and I saw and heard him still laughing.
Natulala lang ako,as I watch him laugh...
Natigil lang sya ng maramdaman nyang mariin akong nakatingin sa kanya.
He eyed me but he quickly get his eyes back to the road.
"Something wrong?"He asked, worried.
Umiling-iling ako,at pinilit ibalik ang sarili sa aking diwa.
"You laugh... It's my first time to hear you laugh."I enthusiastically said.
He smirked,and he grip my hands more tighter this time.
He didn't talked but his smirked stayed. It's a real surprise!
Mr.Thaitum Renuah Climente, laugh...And mind you, it's a big deal...So big deal.
