---Kasumi---
"At last were here," said Deidara as we finally reached our hideout.
"I know right!" I said grinning as I jumped down onto the water. "Come on guys," I added and they jumped after me.
We landed easily on the water as we walked forward with Deidara's bird following.
I watched as Deidara lifted his hand and released the seal.
The tag on the boulder shined red before the bolder lifted into the air, giving us a clear passage through.
As we walked in, I saw Leader-sama was already there.
"Your late," he growled. "We must get ready at once."
"The jinchuuriki proved more powerful than expected," explained Deidara as the boulder began to close behind us.
I watched as Deidara's bird released Gaara on the ground before poofing away.
Leader then performed his hand sighs and smashed his hand to the ground.
Behind him appeared that giant statue thing with the eyes. Heck I didn't even know what it was called. I didn't want to. It was ugly enough without a name.
"Now," said Leader as he made more hand signs. "Let everyone gather."
Everyone soon appeared on their places while Deidara, Sasori and I jumped to ours.
I always found it kinda weird how we had to stand on the fingers of the statue, I mean come on like isn't that weird?
"Alright, we shall begin." said Leader as he appeared on his spot and released the thing in the giant things mouth. Yeah I know I'm dumb since I don't know what anything’s called but hey! I'm probably the strongest one here so who gives a crap?
"It will now take 3 days and nights. Be aware of your physical selves. Zetsu. Have your physical self stay outside on guard. Use the one with the greatest range. Understood?"
"I know." he replied in a bored tone.
Zetsu always was weird to me.. I mean like he’s so creepy! He's like got 2 sides to him..like physically 2! Oh well.
"Only 3 days?" questioned Kisame. "Isn't it possible that it'll take longer than that since we don't have Orochimaru with us?"
"I think your forgetting that I'm here retard." I said to Kisame.
He glared at me then smirked.
"Oh right. I forgot about you."
I shot him a glare back. That son of a bitch.
"Bastard," I muttered.
"What did you-"
"Stop you bickering you two. Let's get started." said Leader-sama interrupting us.
"I agree," said Itachi.
And everyone began making the hand sighs.
God I hate these people sometimes. I thought as I made the hand sign. They annoy me so much but I can't help but feel attached to them. I mean I've been with then for four years, four years of missions and training. I might find some of them weird but in a way... they're almost like family.
Each of the nails on the summoned statue soon began to glow green with something different written on each one.
The blue dragons soon began to come out of the statues mouth.
"Sealing Jitsu, Nine Phantom Dragons!" yelled Leader.
The dragon heads then came out of the mouth, crashing into Gaara and lifting him into the air.
I'm sorry Gaara. I said in my head. I hope that you live after this day... and maybe one day, you can forgive me.
---Sakura---
Jezz. I thought. It's just our luck to hit a sand storm when we've almost reached the Sand Village.
"We got this close to our target and were just sitting here! I can't stand this waiting!" growled Naruto.
"Naruto!" said Kakashi putting his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "For the last time relax. There's nothing we can do."
"I know but-"
"Just be patient," I said cutting him off. "Would you look at Temari? She's the one that's worried the most!"
"The cardinal rule of travelling in the desert," she started. "If you hit a sand storm you stay put. You lose all you sense of direction in a storm like that...."
As Temari carried on, I couldn't help but wonder what was going through Kakashi-sensai's mind. I mean what's he going to do if we catch up and find Kasumi is part of this... she is his daughter after all but... he's never spoken of it since the day we found them...
---flashback---
"We've got to hurry!" I said as we followed Kiba's mom Tsume.
It'd been a long time since Kakashi and them left to get Kasumi. Too long.
"I know!" she growled gritting her teeth. "Everyone pick up the pace!" she yelled as we began running faster.
It wasn't long before we reached them. There, lying on the ground.. was all four of them.
Kakashi-sensai.
Kiba.
Akamaru.
Ino.
"GUYS!!" I yelled and I ran to Ino, finding her arm severally burnt. This isn't any normal fire. I thought.
"We have to get them back to Lady Tsunade immediately!" yelled Kiba's mom as she picked up Kiba and began running back.
I wrapped Ino's arm around my neck and jumped off with her.
The other shinobi soon followed with Kakashi and Akamaru.
Once we got back, Tsunade spent a long time healing them.
She said they all just needed rest but it wasn't long after everyone left that Kakashi-sensai woke up.
"Sensai!" I exclaimed running over to help him up.
Even though I could barely see his face, just by looking at his one eye, I could see the grim look on his face,
"Sensai.." I started and it took him a bit before he looked at me. "What happened? Where's Kasumi?"
"Sh-she....she joined the Akatsuki." his voice barely a whisper.
I froze. No way. Kasumi.. the happy fun awesome Kasumi I know... I have to tell Tsunade immediately.
Without another word, I left the hospital and ran to the Hokage's room.
"Lady Tsunade! Sensai woke up!" I said.
"Did he say anything!?" she quickly asked.
I went silent.
"He said that...that Kasumi.."
"Kasumi what!? Speak up Sakura!"
"That she joined the Akatsuki."
----end of flashback---
Things changed a lot after that. And no one, I mean no one ever spoke about Kasumi around Kakashi-sensai.
But I've always wonder why. Why has she done this?..
Why did she leave?
---Kasumi---
I kept my eyes closed as I heard Gaara's unconscious groans of pain. I didn't like watching this kind of thing. It was hard enough that I had to do this.
Ugh. Why do I always care so much? I don't even know the guy.. I thought I'd gotten over this.. I guess these feelings will never really leave me... but no matter what, I will complete this mission. Even if I do have to kill people on the way...this...this is how it has to be..
---Kakashi---
"Kankuro are you alright?" asked Temari her voice filled with worry.
"T-Temari. You’re back already," crooked Kankuro.
"I heard the Village was in trouble," she answered.
"I'm sorry to be such a bother."
"Shut up! Don't be ridiculous!"
"Can you lead me to where Kankuro's fight with the Akatsuki took place?" I asked and he turned to me in question. "I'm known for having a pretty good nose at tracking. Even if just the slightest trace of their sent remains at the scene."
"There's no need for that," said Kankuro as he slowly tried to get up.
"Huh?" I questioned looking over to him.
"Where are my puppets?" he asked. "I assume that my puppets were recovered right?"
"Yes," said one of the men as he went and brought crow to Kankuro's side.
"One of them fought with me, while the other two carried Gaara away. You might not be able to follow Gaara's sent, but you can defiantly track the one I fought! I made sure of it." he wheezed and then pointed to one of his puppets hands. "You see, I got his sent right here,"
As he pointed, the hand opened to reveal a piece of cloth.
"The last thing I did was make sure I got a scrap of his clothing."
I slowly walked over and picked up the cloth, examining it.
"Even in defeat you went down fighting," I said, "Just what I would expect from a Sand shinobi."
He gave me a surprised looked before grinning. But that didn't last long as he winched in pain, clutching his stomach.
"Kankuro!" exclaimed Temari as she tried to help him. "What is it!?"
He then stopped and stared at Naruto. Temari noticed and then spoke.
"Yes, he came all the way from the Leaf Village to help us."
"Is that... Naruto Uzumaki?" he asked.
I couldn't help but think that when he said other two...was one of them... Kasumi?
I shook my head and bit my thumb before performing hand signs.
"Summoning jitsu!" I said as I slammed my hand to the ground.
A huge puff of smoke before my ninja hounds appeared.
"At your service, 8 ninja hounds," said Pakun on one of their heads.
"HEY!” exclaimed Naruto. "Pakun!"
"Is that you Naruto? Long time no see!"
"Wow look at you, you haven't changed a bit!"
I blocked out the conversation in front of me.
I wonder how much Kasumi's changed... I mean.. I know that she's changed her looks from white, to black..but..
I shook my head, knocking out those thoughts. I can’t think about that right now, I need to focus.
"Alright, alright," I said interrupting them. "Let's skip the reunion, I need you guys to get on this right away," I said as I held up the cloth to the hounds.
"Hm?" questioned Pakun as he turned his head.
I held out the cloth as they all gathered round, sniffing it, taking their time to remember the scent.
"Find out which way he went ok? Go on," and with in an instant, they all disappeared except Pakun.
"We’ll let you know what we find k?" said Pakun before he left.
It was nightfall by the time Sakura had finished the antidote and was giving it Kankuro.
"That's right, drink it all," she instructed.
"Arhhh." he said and coughed a bit.
"There, you should be alright now. Just lay back and rest, and don't move around too much until the numbness passes." advised Sakura.
"All of you are going to need rest from your journey, we've prepared rooms for you," said one of their Jōnin.
"But we've gotta go after Gaara!" argued Naruto.
"Thanks," I said. "We'll take you up on that offer." Naruto looked at me confused so I gave an explanation. "We may have to travel far and fast tomorrow."
He sighed and looked back at Kankuro.
"Ok," he said, "You win."
I watched as Kankuro brought his hand to his face, looking in deep thought for a while before speaking quietly.
"Naruto."
"Hm?" was his simple answer.
"Save my little brother, will you?"
All the Sand Ninja gasped quietly in surprise but Naruto spoke..
"Don't worry, I will. After all I'm gona be Hokage someday and for now the Kazakage can just owe me one."
We all smiled at his Naruto like response.
It wasn't long until almost everyone left the room and I was on my way out until Kankuro spoke.
"Hey Kakashi,"
"Hn?" I said turning back in confusion.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
I nodded and walked back over to him, Temari still by his side as everyone else was gone.
"You know, I'm not sure if this is true or not but, I heard that the one they call 'Black Death' is your ...daughter."
I froze on the spot. No. Don't tell me...
"I can tell by your response she is... I thought I'd tell you that the third member that I saw was her."
I tried to keep my face emotionless as he continued.
"I spoke to her, asking her if she was the one Kiba spoke to me about when I helped him, Turns out it was her. But her reply was evil. She...she said that it was all part of her act.. and you all meant nothing to her..."
I couldn't move.
All this time.. I know she said it to me before she left but even so.. ever since then I haven't seen her.. spoken of her... I thought she was just going to kill them but she joined them... does that mean that everything... was a lie?

Yay! Another chapter done! Again yeah I know no action but there will be in the next chapter! I promise! :D
