𝚣𝚊𝚑𝚛𝚊
Daniel trailed his fingers up and down my stomach.
I opened my eyes.
"morning princess"
I smiled.
"I thought you might want to see the sunrise" he said caressing my cheek.
The little things like this makes me fall even more in love with him.
My eyes started to close again. He chuckled pecking my lips.
The sun should be up in the next few minutes.
I remember telling him that from my backyard you can see the sun rise up perfectly.
He always goes on and on how sunrises are magical and how every time he sees one it reminds him of me.
He pressed a kiss against my forehead before sitting up.
I opened back up my eyes and sat up as well.
I grabbed one of his shirts and pulled it over my head then tied my hair back.
He wrapped his arm around my waist and we made our way downstairs.
As soon as my feet touched the tile, I jumped. He chuckled picking me up. He carried me out to the back bridal style.
We sat down on the couch underneath the gazebo.
He must've been up before me because there were two cups of tea and some cookies laid out in front of us.
"when did you wake up?" I yawned.
"an hour ago, but I didn't want to bother you plus you look like an angel when you're asleep" he said pinching my cheeks.
I looked up at the sky.
The stars were fading into a light blue sky rather than the dark blue. I could see the orange and red pastels seeping through the horizon.
It was quiet.
The only noises being the birds and Daniel's heartbeat as my head laid against his bare chest.
We watched as the deep orange and red pastels started moving upwards leaving behind purples and pinks.
"it's beautiful" I mumbled.
He hummed pressing a kiss against my head. I sipped on the tea melting away in his arms.
The sun continued to rise and brighter shades of orange made its way though.
"do you want to go back to bed?" He asked.
I nodded and yawned.
He picked me back up and carried me back into the house.
He laid me down on the bed and covered me up.
"you're not coming?"
"gotta train babe"
I pouted.
He chuckled sitting down next to me.
He caressed my cheek.
"I'm just going to jog around the block. I'll be back by the time you wake up"
I nodded.
"now sleep, sleeping beauty"
I turned on my side and closed my eyes.
He pressed a kiss against my forehead then got up.
10:30am
I shifted around.
Daniel still wasn't back.
I got up and went into the bathroom.
Today's the Euro Finals.
England vs Italy
I washed my face and started brushing my teeth.
Once I finished I headed downstairs.
I opened the door to get the paper and I saw Daniel standing there shirtless dripping of sweat.
He pulled out his AirPods.
"miss me?" He smirked.
I rolled my eyes and pushed him to the side.
I grabbed the paper and walked back in. I went into the kitchen and opened the fridge.
"what do you want to eat?" I asked him.
"anything"
I made some eggs.
He sat me down on his lap.
I had one arm draped around his neck whilst the other I used to eat. As I was bringing the fork to my mouth, he leaned over and ate it.
"Daniel!"
He laughed.
I waited till he picked up his own fork to eat and swooped in.
"hey!"
I mocked his same laugh.
"after Silverstone, I'm all yours" he said.
I smiled.
"I still haven't gotten my call up for the Olympics so I guess I'm all yours as well, minus the little things Chelsea's going to make me do"
He hummed.
We finished eating and went into the living room.
He started watching something whilst I just kicked my feet up on him.
I scrolled through my Insta and saw a video of Lewis.
I stopped scrolling and watched it.
He was singing that Ed Sheeran song, Happier.
His voice was mellow and rough but it still sounded amazing.
I only needed one glance to tell that he was wasted.
what's going on with him?
