POV: Narrator
Seth sat there watching girls get thrown into the air.
Seth Thinking: How do people even do that stuff? My head hurts just looking at this. Hmm, this is taking a lot of time out of my day. There was supposed to be an event in my game today. I hope it will still be going on when this is over.
The crowd cheers with the girls. Once the girls land, the sea of people get up and clap for them.
Seth: Oh is it over?
Tyler: No they just finished one.
Seth: How much longer?
Cameron: About 45 more minutes.
Seth: Ahh fuck.

Emma lands on the ground and looks to the crowd. They all get up and clap for them. She looks through the people and spots Seth standing with the rest of the group, not clapping.
Emma Thinking: Why isn't he clapping!? I'm trying my hardest here. He must know a lot about this stuff. I must be doing something wrong that he's spotting. I need to do everything flawlessly.
Seth Thinking: Man if that events over and I didn't play then that means I lost all that EXP. Damn I'm also hungry.
Seth: Guys, I think I'm going to die if I don't eat something.
Cole: We can eat after ok.
Cameron: Yea there's a place a block away we can eat at.
Time Skip: 43 Minutes
The last flip landed and the crowd cheers louder then ever before. Seth came to the conclusion that it was over and started clapping as well.
Seth: Can we eat now?
Cameron: Sure.

Emma stands there breathing heavily.
Emma Thinking: Jeez, that was a lot. I'm tired, but it's worth it because he's clapping so I guess I did good.
Jenni: Wow Emma, you really were great.
Britney: Were you trying to impress someone?
Emma: What, no. You're supposed to act like this is the real thing. Were you guys trying?
Jenni: Well yea but not as hard as you.
Britney: Come on let's go.
The crowd of people started to leave as the girls started to pack things up.
Seth: Why aren't we leaving?
Tyler: Everyone else is going so we'll wait for everyone else to be gone.
Cole: That was some show.
Cameron: Yea Emma was amazing.
Tyler: She always is.
Cole: How about it Seth, impressive no?
Seth: Yea it was. Can't imagine me doing it.
Cameron: You had your headphones in the whole time.
Seth: Doesn't mean I wasn't watching.
5 minutes later the bleachers were cleared. The four boys got up and started to walk down.
Tyler: So you guys want to eat?
Seth: YES!
Cole: Sure.
They get to the bottom and start walking to-
Emma: HEY GUYS!
The four turn around to see Emma running up to them.
Emma: Hey guys, how was it?
Cameron: It was amazing.
Cole: You did amazing too!
Emma: Thank you but it's a team effort. I didn't think I was very good in the beginning so I really tried!
Tyler: I thought everyone did good the entire thing.
Cole: Yea I didn't see any mess ups but it's not like I really know anything about cheer or anything.
Cameron: And our friend here was also impressed.
He pushes his elbow into Seth.
Seth: I mean weren't you?
Cameron: Well yea but th-
Emma: I'm happy to hear that, really. What was your favorite move Seth?
Seth: Ah, me?
Cole: Like all of them.
Tyler: Haha yea.
Seth: Yea they were all really good.
Seth gave a little smile, a little one.
Emma Thinking: HE KNOWS SOMETHING!! Hmm, I can see why he would be careful about talking about things he likes around his friends since it's not the most manliness thing to like. I'll have to talk to him later about it then.
Seth Thinking: Why is she looking at me! I gave her that sideways smiles the guys to in the movies and everything! It's not like I like cheer or know anything about it! Does she want encouragement or something? I'll try.
Seth: Well, um, it's one of those things you aren't natural good at you know. Just keep at it and do the best you can and you'll get better after every try.
Seth Thinking: I heard that in a video game before.
Cam, Ty, Cole Thinking: How smooth.
Emma stared at Seth. All of a sudden, she walks up to him and grabs his hands. She holds them as she gets close to him.
Emma: I will!!
Seth: Ah, ok.
Seth's face got red because of how close they were and feeling a soft touch of a women, something gamers like himself don't regularly get.
Not only Seth, but the rest of the guys got hot just watching it.
Britney: Emma?
Emma: Ah, sorry, I'll see you later.
She lets go and turns around. She stops and waves to the four boys who were frozen in time.
After she left, time resumed for three of them.
Cameron: HOLY SHIT!!!
Cole falls to his knees.
Cole: God, thank you.
Tyler: My heart, it's on fire.
Tyler stumbles back and into a wall.
Cameron walks to Seth and taps on him.
Cameron: Hey bud, are you alive?
Seth didn't answer. He stood in the same position the whole time with his arms halfway out and his hands open.
Cole: I thought he didn't like her.
Tyler: Think idiot, if any girl walks to you that close and holds your hands would you go red.
Cole: Fuck you're right.
Cameron: Come on bud, let's go eat.
Seth: Eh- eat.
Cameron: Yea let's go.

Jenni: Who was that?
Emma: Just some people.
Britney: You were holding one of their hands, what's up with that?
Emma: He just gave me encouraging words that's all.
Selena: Was it that Seth guy?
Emma: Yea actually.
Selena: Don't hang out with that loser.
Emma: No he's not.
Jenni: What team is he on?
Selena: None, isn't on one. He's an "inside person".
Emma: So what. Before I did cheer I was an inside person.
Britney: Yea but you were good looking.
Jenni hops in front of the three and stops, making everyone else stop also.
Jenni: Ok Emma, you're super hot ok. Like 10/10 ok. Now that guy wasn't hideous, but not hot. You, a 10/10, can't go for a 3/10. And as you're friend won't allow it.
Unlike everyone else, Jenni and Emma were close friends throughout childhood. There is also Summer Henderson but she isn't on the cheer team.
Emma: I'm not dating him, he's new, not even a week in.
Jenni: Ok but I'll be watching you.

Cameron: Not a problem really. It's not that much.

The four sat and ate while they talk about anime as they usually do, till.
Seth: I read Chainsaw Man.
Cameron: I'm a bit scared for the voices.
Tyler: They always pick good people for them.
*ding*
Seth: I watch in dub.
Tyler: Eh
Cameron: Eh
Cole: Eh
Seth: It's not as bad as you think.
???: Beth.
Seth: I like to watch the show and not read.
???: Beth!
Tyler: Do what I do and learn Japanese. There's apps for that.
???: BETH!!!
The four boys look to the side of the table to see a girl standing there.
Cameron: Oh Selena right?
Tyler: There isn't a Beth here. Sorry.
Selena: You!
She points at Seth.
Seth: M-me!? My name is Seth.
Selena: Do you know Emma?
Seth: Um, yea. Did something happen?
Selena: What are you to her?
Seth: Ah, what, what do you mean?
Selena: Are you her friend?
Cameron: Hey, he-
Selena: I didn't ask you.
Seth: Um, we're, um.... well, she told me we friends, but I wouldn't say we're there yet. Later maybe, but now, just an acquaintance.
Selena: What did you tell her today?
Seth: Um, to keep doing her best, that stuff.
Selena: Hmm, well don't get any ideas. Just because she talks to you doesn't mean she wants to date you. She's just friendly like that.
Seth: Well, I wasn't planning on dating. I don't even like her like that.
Selena: Haha, you're joking. She's the prettiest girl here, you don't have a crush on her?
Seth: I don't.
Selena turns and walks away.
Seth: I'm into 2-D girls.
Tyler: You have to get out more.
