we sat next to each other in the car with the radio quietly playing music. he drove with one hand on the wheel and the other arm leaning on the middle console
i stayed on my phone scrolling through instagram.
"how was your drive here?" i asked
"boring"
"i'm sorry. oh also! do you want to go to lego land tomorrow?"
"of course i do"
we kept driving close to the beach until we reached a small pizza parlor that we always visited when he came to visit.
we exited the car and walked in together. our hands hit each other, before i could move my hand corpse grabbed it and intertwined our fingers
i blushed came to my cheeks as we went up to the counter to order.
"what do you want angel? i will order for you"
"just cheese pizza" i said and looked back at the ground
the worker came up to take our order. corpse ordered for the both of us and then paid before i could. i sighed and we went to sit while we waited for our food
"i could have paid you know?"
"it's on me" he said with a smile
i smiled back at him and we stared at each other. the butterflies came back to my stomach. what i didn't know was that corpse was having the same feeling
"you are pretty" i said
"you are pretty too"
i smiled at him and then our pizza slices got laid down on the table we sat at along with our drinks
"thank you" i said sipping my dr pepper and taking a bite of my food
we both ate in silence just happy to be together after a few months away from each other.
once i was done eating i pushed my plate away and took a drink from my cup. corpse finished shortly after me and watched me as i looked out the window
"what are you look at?" i questioned
"just the pretty girl across from me"
he never failed to make a blush coke across my face. he was such a flirt
"come on pretty boy. i want to go crystal shopping" he smiled before we both stood up to leave
"let's go gorgeous" he said taking my hand and we both left. he led me to the car and opened the door for me before getting in himself.
he turned on the car and looked over at me
"okay so crystal shop, beach, pier, then dinner, and then what?"
"whatever you want to do baby"
"we will decide later" i said and he agreed
