Your eyes shot open and you sat up quick. You looked around to see that you were sitting on a large bed in a room that had large windows with curtains that were (your favorite color), you looked down at the bed sheets to see that they were also (your favorite color)
"Hello my dear" you heard from beside you. Only now did you notice a figure in a reaper cloak and mask had been sitting in a chair beside your bed. Your eyes widened and started to well up with tears "...daddy?" You question, wanting confirmation that this was indeed the man you've missed for so many years.
Your father smiled, not that you could tell because of the mask but he nodded and opened his arms wide just as you hopped out of the bed and clung to him in a tight hug as your tears started to run down your face "daddy! *sob* I can't believe this...*sob* I thought I lost you forever! *hic*" you snuggle your face into your father's chest as he comfortingly rubs your back with one of his gloved hands
He moves one of his hands to hold the back of your head in place against his chest "Oh my dear baby girl, my little love, how I've missed you" he mumbled into your hair, a few tears rolling down his face behind the mask. You both pull away and his inspects your face "my how you've grown, such a beautiful young lady, my child" he says, more to himself than you. You smile and wipe your face, wiping away your last remaining tears
"Wait, where is everyone else?" You ask, remembering how everyone had gotten hurt in one way or another before you passed out. "They are all resting in the castle's infirmary, except your brothers they have been-" "wait brothers?" You cut him off. He was about to answer when Austin and Dustin walked into your room "ah there they are now" your father said.
They saw you awake and immediately ran up to engulf you in a hug "(name)!" "You're okay!" They both said happily. You giggled as they both snuggled their noses into either side of your face "so did dad tell you?" Austin spoke up "that were your adopted brothers" Dustin continued. "actually he kinda just told me before you came in" you said as you all pulled away from the hug. "I should probably tell her the whole story so it makes more sense" your father spoke up and you, Austin and Dustin all sat on your bed to listen to the story. You for the first time, and the boys for the second time.

After telling you how Austin and Dustin became your brothers, the boys went off to start setting up their own rooms in what was also their home now, leaving you and your dad alone in your room once more "daddy" you broke the comfortable silence "yes princess?" He asked "um...where...where is mom?" You asked, avoiding eye contact by looking towards the giant window with the (favorite color) curtains "Oh, well...how about you see for yourself?" He suggested.
You turned back and looked at him in shock. He put his hand out, gesturing for you to take it "come on, I'll show you" he said. You took his hand and stood up and you both walked out of your room. He was still holding your hand, giving you a calm feeling like when a father walks his daughter to her first day of school.
You walked down a few halls before coming to a large black door with red letters on it that said 'Akuma'
You were nervous, you weren't sure how your mother was doing or how she was going to react to you being there in the flesh, you were so caught up in your own thoughts that you didn't notice when your father pushed the door open. Revealing your mother, lying in a bed with machines hooked up to her
Once your eyes landed on her you started to tear up. You walked over to the side of her bed and placed your hand over her own that was at her side "what happened to her?" You ask, not tearing your gaze away from her peaceful form "Well my dear" you hear your father sigh behind you "things got too much for us both... I couldn't protect her from herself any longer. One night she summoned her own weapon and attempted to stab herself through the heart" your eyes widened at what your father just said and you tightened your hold on her hand slightly "thank goodness I was there to stop her" he continued "so I had her put...in a medically induced coma to protect her...it was the only way I could keep her safe at all times.." you could hear the hurt and guilt in his voice "you don't think I'm horrible for it...do you My dear?..." Your father asked. You shook your head "No dad, you didn't know what else to do and you were all alone trying to take care of mom. She wouldn't be here now if it weren't for you" you replied
You feel your father place a hand on top of your head and ruffle your hair a little "I've waited years for someone to give me that reassurance...I'm glad it was you my dear" he said. It was quiet for a while until your father spoke up again "would you like me to wake her up?" "What about the black blood? Her insanity?" You questioned. "Well I can do it now that medusa is gone, your bothers told me how you defeated her and I'll need to make some calls but-" you turned to your father and huged him "I would love that more than anything" you say into his chest and he smiles
