Chaeyoung looks at her reflection in the elevator.

Her mouth was shining a little too much for her liking and she thumbs her bottom lip to remove the excess gloss.

Although Jungkook had told her to dress comfortably, she still didn't want to miss the chance of trying to look good for him by at least wearing some makeup-a bit of eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss.

It has been a long time since she wore makeup for a man too.

Not that she needed any of it.

Chaeyoung is confident in her looks but she can't deny that she loves the feeling of looking good for someone else. And her heart beats rapidly in her chest, picturing Jungkook smiling at her and telling her she looks pretty.

When the elevator doors finally open, Chaeyoung excitedly skips out into the dorm lobby.

She shivers a little, suddenly all too aware of the cold.

The heaters weren't working at ground level and the front doors were continuously closed and opened, as there were still many students who still chose to stay in during the winter break, inviting cold air to rush in.

"Chaeyoung!" A feminine voice calls from her side.

Chaeyoung turns her head to look at whoever was calling her. She is surprised to see that it was the girl she had literature classes with.

Kim Jisoo.

The two of them weren't close per se but they were comfortable enough with each other to partner up for projects. They even had a few lunches together in between classes so seeing the older girl encourages a smile out of her.

Chaeyoung bows to greet Jisoo, who was standing in front of the dorm lobby's one and only HotBake vending machine. "Hey, Jisoo. You're staying on campus too?"

"Yeah, I have a part-time job nearby but I'll return home for Christmas and New Year's Eve next week." Jisoo smiles warmly at her. "Where are you heading?"

Chaeyoung stills for a moment, her brain processing words to say before she sighs dreamily. "I'm meeting my boyfriend. We're going on a date."

Boyfriend. That rolled off her tongue way too easily.

She bites down a smile.

She sees Jisoo nodding her head in understanding. "Ahhh, Jeon Jungkook right?"

Wait, she knows him? "You know him?"

Jisoo laughs immediately when she sees Chaeyoung's surprised face. "I think everyone knows him."

Chaeyoung mentally facepalms herself.

Obviously the entire campus knows who her boyfriend is. Jeon Jungkook is practically a household name in SNU.

"Right. Of course." She mutters under her breath, nodding.

"And I'm pretty sure everyone knows you two are dating too. I bet all the boys are cursing Jungkook as much as his fangirls do to you, huh?"

Chaeyoung laughs.

She knows Jisoo could be saying that just to amuse her but she can't help but feel reassured that people know that they're together.

When the vending machine beeps, Jisoo turns away from her to carefully take out a warm sandwich from the pick-up slot.

Not looking at Chaeyoung anymore, she says, "He's outside, by the way. I saw him on my way here. I think he's been standing outside his car for more than 10 minutes."

That caused Chaeyoung's head to abruptly face the front doors.

Before the older girl could turn back around to look at her, Chaeyoung was already walking towards the exit.

"Thank you, Jisoo! I'm going now! Have a good break!" She waves without looking back and rushes excitedly towards the exit, her boot-clad feet hitting the ground loudly.

Chaeyoung wraps her arms tighter around herself once she is completely out of her dorm building.

The weather is super cold around this time of the year in Seoul and even with her thick puffer jacket, she could still feel the cold winds biting through it.

As she swirls her head to look down the steps of her dormitory building, she finally spots Jungkook leaning against his car that was parked right across the street.

She feels an incredible surge of warmth rushing through her body, killing away any iciness she previously felt, and her heart damn near explodes from happiness.

Her boyfriend, who is only donning a pair of simple grey sweatpants and similar black puffer jacket, is now waving at her with both his hands held high above his head.

Jungkook has a huge dimpled grin stretching across his face and when he makes no plans to stop waving, Chaeyoung can't help but giggle into her hands.

Not moving an inch from her spot, she waves wildly at him back. The spontaneous action causes Jungkook to smile even bigger.

The couple obviously didn't care if people could see them being corny out in the open. They felt way too happy just watching each other from across the street.

Then, Chaeyoung starts to notice something a little different about Jungkook but before she could pick out what it was, she sees him cupping his hands around his mouth.

"Chaeyoung!" He yells then waves his arms again.

Chaeyoung slowly starts to walk down the steps of the dorm building, responding to his call.

That's until Jungkook decides to stretch both his arms wide open and he wiggles his fingers, signalling her towards him.

Chaeyoung laughs and quickly rushes down the steps.

She sees Jungkook smiling harder now, all teeth and dimples, and his arms remain wide open.

Once she reaches the bottom of the steps, she looks down the road to make sure there were no cars.

When she confirms that the coast was clear, Chaeyoung dashes across the street, running straight into her boyfriend's arms, her contagious laughter making Jungkook laugh as well.

The happy couple twirls around together as they hug right in front of her dorm building, just enjoying the warmth of each other in the cold winter air.

"Oh, I miss you, Jungkook." Chaeyoung hums, her eyes closed and her face pressed against his thick jacket.

"I miss you too, baby." Jungkook wraps his arms tighter around her, his nose buried in her hair.

Jungkook loves how Chaeyoung smells. And he might start getting used to her sweet strawberry scent. It was all over his bed this morning too.

He kisses the top of her head.

"What took you so long?" She mumbles against his chest.

"Hmm.." Jungkook curled his lips inward. "I was preparing something special for you."

That got Chaeyoung to pull away to look at his face.

And when she did, her eyes almost bulged out of their sockets because she finally noticed what was different about her boyfriend.

Jungkook no longer had the fluffy thick hair she recognised and loved.

Now, his hair was cut super short, revealing both his ears and more of his forehead.

He looks breathtakingly beautiful.

A few thick strands of hair fall forward and Jungkook pushes his hair back with his free hand then shakes his head slightly to ruffle it a little.

"You like it?" He asks, smiling softly as he looks down at her.

Chaeyoung nods immediately. "I like it. I like it a lot."

Then she reaches up to touch the top of his head. "Is this the surprise?"

Jungkook hums, "Yes and no. I have another surprise for you but that can wait until later."

"Hmm... Okay.." Chaeyoung didn't remove her gaze from his hair, her fingers absent-mindedly brushing the dark strands. "You look really handsome."

Jungkook chuckles. "You think so?"

"Mhmm.." She nods, not realising Jungkook is staring closely at her face, studying how flushed her cheeks and nose look and the shape of her pretty pink lips. "But.."

Jungkook quirked an eyebrow. "But?"

Chaeyoung has both hands up now, fixing the hair around his ears.

"It's harder to tug on now." She says mindlessly.

It's almost comedic how Jungkook's eyes immediately widened into huge saucers.

She rolls her eyes at her boyfriend's immaturity. "Get your head out of the gutter, baby. That wasn't what I meant. I just miss your long hair now."

She sees Jungkook smirk. "Mhmm. 'Cuz it's easier to pull right?"

Chaeyoung leans away from her boyfriend now, irritated by his teasing.

"You're so annoying. Let's get in the car. I'm freezing." She grumbles.

She tries to turn to her side but Jungkook's hold on her waist tightens, bringing her body even closer to him than before.

"Kiss me first." He pouts and blinks his eyes at her innocently.

Chaeyoung only stares at him, but then he starts puckering his lips and closing his eyes which causes her to giggle.

At his insistence, she tiptoes then kisses him quickly on the mouth.

Jungkook abruptly opens his eyes and shakes his head as soon as she pulls away.

"No. Kiss me properly." He pouts harder.

Chaeyoung couldn't help the loud laugh that escapes her lips. "Oh my god. You're such a baby!"

"I am baby. Now, kiss me again." Jungkook taps his lips with a finger.

Chaeyoung snorts.

Her boyfriend is indeed a big baby. Her baby.

Slowly, she wraps a hand at the back his head then pulls him down, giving him the real kiss he wanted so badly.

Chaeyoung feels him smile against her lips as they continue kissing softly and slowly.

When Jungkook starts nipping her bottom lip, she sighs into the kiss and pushes her body deeper into his as he leans completely against the side of his car now.

"I love you." Jungkook breathes against lips.

"I know," Chaeyoung whispers. "I love you too."

The kiss went on for a couple minutes more before the two of them finally pulled away for air.

Jungkook strokes her cheeks lovingly. "You look so pretty. I love you. You're pretty."

Chaeyoung giggles. "Thank you."

"And what is that on your lips?" Jungkook leans down again to give her one last peck.

"Oh, this?" She smacks her lips. "It's lip gloss. You like it?"

Jungkook nods.

"Cool. Most guys don't like kissing with the lip gloss on."

Jungkook frowns. "And you know that because...? You've kissed most guys?"

"I've kissed some guys. And none of them like it. They think it's too sticky."

"Well, I love that sticky stuff on you so you can wear it all you want." Jungkook growls, his nose brushing her right ear now before he bites her earlobe. "But only for me."

Chaeyoung smiles, enjoying her boyfriend's attention on her.

"For you? I'm wearing it for myself." She teases.

She hears Jungkook grumbling softly on her neck. "Fine, whatever. Wear it for yourself and not for anyone else."

At that, Chaeyoung grabs both sides of his face to pull him away then plants a quick kiss on nose. "I was kidding. I wear this for you. I wanted to look nice for you."

"You look nice always." Jungkook replies easily.

"I know." Chaeyoung smiles. "Now, let's get in the car. I'm cold."

She pulls away from him completely now and turns around to get to the other side of the car.

Jungkook follows her closely behind and when they reach the passenger side of the door, he quickly grabs her shoulder to twirl her around so her back is facing the car.

"Let me get that door for you."

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow. "Was it necessary to turn me around?"

"Obviously." Jungkook replies then opens the door. "Because I get to do this." Then he pushes her gently to settle in the seat as he bends down.

"By the way, don't look at the backseats." He says again as he retracts the seatbelt strap.

"You saying that only makes me want to look back now." Chaeyoung mutters. "What are you hiding back there? Is it food? Wait, no, I could smell it if so. Hmm.. Maybe an expensive bag..?"

Jungkook chuckles as he clicks the metal plate of the belt into the buckle, his body dangerously close to hers, and Chaeyoung feels warmth spreading across her cheeks.

It's true. She does want to look back and see what exactly he's hiding at the back of his car but right now, with the way Jungkook was bending down to her level just to buckle her seatbelt for her, it was far too distracting.

After he was done, he turned to look at her, their faces only inches apart. "Just be a good girl for me and don't ask too many questions."

Not allowing a word out of her mouth, Jungkook stands back up, closes her door then jogs to his side of the car.

Chaeyoung blinks multiple times. What did he just call her?

When Jungkook is fully settled into the driver's seat, she reaches out her hand quickly and grabs a hold of his jacket, then pulls him towards her, molding her lips with his. Immediately, he was kissing her back and Chaeyoung opened her mouth wider, inviting him in.

When she feels Jungkook dart out his tongue to flick it along her top lip, she rips away from his touch completely and pulls back.

Ignoring her boyfriend's stunned face, Chaeyoung settles herself comfortably in her seat, as if she hadn't just teased him three seconds ago.

"Okay. Let's get moving." She looks outside the window, hiding a smile.

"Babe." Jungkook whines.

She looks at him, blinking innocently. "Wha-"

But her words were cut off when Jungkook leans across the armrest, grabs her chin towards him and kisses her hungrily.

Not even a minute into the kiss and Jungkook already had her moaning against his mouth.

"Jungkook," Chaeyoung breathes out, just as Jungkook leaves her lips to trail kisses to her jaw, his calloused fingers scraping the soft skin on her cheek.

When she started whimpering as he started kissing her throat, Jungkook instinctively pulled away, heat rising to his face. "Sorry-I got carried away."

"It's... It's fine." Chaeyoung's voice was hoarse. "We'll continue this later."

He grins almost immediately. "Will we, now?"

"Absolutely." Chaeyoung nods quickly. "You started it. So you have to finish it."

Jungkook laughs heartily then takes her hand and kisses it gently.

The two finally fall into a comfortable silence as he finally drives them off the street and out of campus, with her hand still intertwined in his.

The ride to wherever Jungkook planned on taking her didn't take much longer than half an hour, much to Chaeyoung's pleasure. Now, don't get her wrong. She has nothing against being in the car with her boyfriend but she learned that day that he's incredibly touchy even when he's busy driving.

The whole drive, his hand was all over her thigh, then her hand and her arm. She would tell him stories about her days during the semester, and he would listen attentively, not saying a word, but his hand would gently squeeze her thigh or he would grab her hand and kiss her wrist.

Chaeyoung loves it, of course, but she doesn't know if she could take any second longer in that car before she demanded he parked it somewhere secluded so she could straddle him in his lap and take him right there.

Fortunately, Chaeyoung had way more self-control than that. Although something tells her that Jungkook wouldn't be opposed to that idea if she ever did bring it up.

"What are you getting?" Jungkook asks, as he slid himself comfortably beside her in the booth.

He had driven them to a Korean-Italian fusion style restaurant. He claimed that this wasn't their last stop and suggested she eat something filling when they first entered the shop.

"Hmm.." She thinks. "Rosé pasta sounds nice."

Jungkook smirks, his elbow now on the table as he propped his head up sideways to look at her. "Why? Because of your nickname?"

"Noooo," Chaeyoung rolls her eyes. "I actually happen to like Rosé sauce."

"Yeah? Like Rosé tteokbokki?"

"Yes, exactly. I love Rosé tteokbokki."

"I see. And how did you get that nickname, by the way?" Jungkook asked, suddenly curious.

Chaeyoung tenses for a second at the question but when she finally relaxes, she smiles softly at him.

"Taehyung gave me that nickname."

Jungkook only looks at her, not saying a word.

Unable to read his expression, she continues, "Like I said, I really, really like Rosé sauce. I would order it every time I see it on the menu and so he started calling me that. Jennie, Joy and Lisa quickly followed and I guess it stuck around because now everyone I know calls me Rosé or Rosie."

"After we broke up, I kind of stopped eating anything with the sauce. It's ridiculous now that I think about it because there are probably only two dishes that go with it." She laughs a little to mask her awkwardness. "And this is probably the first time in a long while that I'm eating this again."

For probably an entire minute, Jungkook only stares at her, unblinking, before he grins, his cute dimple showing. "Are you saying I'm the only one who calls you Chaeyoung?"

She feels her mouth drop open. "That's.. That's the only thing you got from that?"

"Frankly, yea." He smiles. "But don't get me wrong. I am proud of you for getting over that jerkface," she scrunches her nose at Jungkook's name for her ex, "and that you can eat Rosé whatever dish again but seriously baby? I am fucking ecstatic right now."

"You are?" Chaeyoung frowns, confused. "I thought you'd be mad that people still call me by that name."

Jungkook sighs then gathers her in his arms to kiss her forehead. "I don't care about him anymore, honestly. You're mine now. And I'm yours. Period. I'm just happy I'm the only one, aside from your family, who calls you by your real name. I feel really really special."

"That's because you are." Chaeyoung says softly.

They stare into each other's eyes for a minute, truly lost in their own world, until Jungkook leans down, his lips inches away from hers but the moment was broken by the waiter, coughing to get their attention.

"I'm here to take your order. What will be your drinks?" The young waiter asks as he fiddles with his pen and notepad awkwardly.

"Just water for me will do." Chaeyoung clears her throat.

"For me as well." Jungkook nods.

The waiter scribbles their orders. "And food?"

"We'll both have the Rosé pasta." Jungkook replies easily and Chaeyoung can't help the grin that stretches across her face.

"Will that be all?"

"Yes, thank you." Jungkook says as he returns the menu into the waiter's eager hands.

The waiter leaves and when Jungkook turned his head back to look at her, Chaeyoung was still smiling beautifully and she was looking at him with so much affection in her eyes.

"I love you." She says.

Jungkook scrunches his nose, amused. "For ordering your favourite food?"

"For just being here. With me."

His eyes soften. "Where else would I be, baby?"

"Just saying." She smiles.

The moment that was interrupted by the waiter comes back again and this time, it's Chaeyoung who leans towards him, her eyes closing shut, eager to have a taste of Jungkook for probably the hundredth time that day.

Her heart soars in her chest when she feels his hand gently stroking her cheek and a second later, his lips close in on her hers, but only barely touching. Just as he was about to kiss her fully, a sharp sound of a chair scraping against the tile jerked them both away from each other.

"Fuck-Sorry." A male voice could be heard behind them.

"Seriously? Again?" Chaeyoung groans as she hides her face in his chest.

But Jungkook only laughs softly before he turns around to look at the guilty interruptor. "Hoseok..?"

Chaeyoung stiffens.

Hoseok? What is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?" Jungkook voices out her thoughts.

"I, uh, I was eating with some friends and we were about to leave but I noticed you two so I came to say hi." He mutters hastily, obviously awkward. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I, uh, didn't see the chair, as you can tell." He winces.

"It's fine." Jungkook smiles politely but Chaeyoung could sense a little hesitance in his voice.

She looks away instinctively, the awkwardness lingering in the air not doing much to help the situation.

She doesn't really have any problems with Jung Hoseok but after what happened at the stadium with her toxic ex-boyfriend because Hoseok couldn't keep his mouth shut, she doesn't know if she wanted to be around the guy anymore.

She was just glad right now that Jungkook was here so he could handle all the talking.

"How are you, man?" Jungkook offers when Hoseok made no effort to continue the conversation.

"I'm.. I'm good." Hoseok scratches the back of his neck.

Again, super awkward.

Jungkook nods, obviously running out of words to say back. "That's grea-"

"I'm sorry."

Chaeyoung and Jungkook both looked up at him at the same time.

"I'm sure you both know that I was the one who told Taehyung about you two." Hoseok grimaces. "I was wrong about that. I didn't think you guys were actually a thing and I might have been brainwashed into thinking you still love Taehyung." He looks at Chaeyoung.

She doesn't say anything. Not because she was angry or upset. But because she simply didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry. It really wasn't my place to meddle in your relationship." Hoseok looks down at his feet, the guilt obviously eating him up right now.

Jungkook smiles. "Hey, man. It's fine. Things worked out in the end and we're happy."

"Yeah, I guess. I still feel really bad though."

Jungkook opens his mouth to say something again but Hoseok rushes to pull something out of his pocket. "Here, please accept my apology."

He takes out his wallet, a finger already flipping through some notes.

"What?! No, no, no." Both Chaeyoung and Jungkook gasped at the action, thinking he was about to present them with money to apologise.

But it wasn't money that he took out of his wallet.

It was a pair of tickets.

"I got some free tickets to Everland when I was working there last semester. Never got around to using it." He slides it on the table in front of them. "You guys can have it."

Jungkook sighs, relieved. "Are you sure?"

"Of course. I'd really love if you guys accepted it."

"Thank you, Hoseok." This time it was Chaeyoung who spoke up.

Hoseok smiles, happy that they took the tickets. "No problem. Anyways, I gotta run. I have a bus to catch."

"Thanks again, man. I'll see you next semester during practice?" Jungkook's tone is much more relaxed now.

"Yep. I'll see you. Bye guys. Have a nice break!" Hoseok offers as he jogs towards the door where his group of friends were waiting.

Shortly after that random encounter, the waiter brought over their drinks and the two returned back to their own world, kissing and giggling like two happy teenagers in love.

When their food came and they finished their plates clean, Jungkook stood up quickly to pay.

"We're leaving now?" Chaeyoung asks as she finishes her last few sips of water.

"Mhmm. We can't be late."

"Why?" She blinks up at him.

"No questions, baby." He bends down and presses a soft kiss to her lips. "I'll be right back." And he's gone before she could say anything.

By the time they finally left the restaurant, it was already pretty dark out and the two were left surprised when soft snow started to pour down, dancing around them prettily in the street lights.

Chaeyoung gasps at the scene and she momentarily lets go of Jungkook's hand to feel the snow falling in her palms.

"It's snowing." She smiles, fascinated.

Unbeknownst to Chaeyoung, Jungkook had whipped out his phone to capture the little moment. He then taps something quickly on his phone before keeping it back into his pocket, not wanting her to find out what he had just done.

Chaeyoung looks at him now, her eyes lighting up when she notices a little bit of snow dusting his hair.

She giggles then walks towards him and reaches up to sweep away the snow, all while Jungkook was looking down at her, a soft smile ghosting his lips.

"Are you done?" He asks.

She gasps. "Shit-Sorry! We're late aren't we?"

Jungkook is still smiling. "Nope, not yet. I was just asking so I could do this."

"Do what?"

He didn't reply but instead, quietly removes the face mask she had worn before they left the restaurant because she thought it'd be too cold outside, and leans down to kiss her.

Not breaking the kiss, he turns her around gently and she steps back as he walks them over somewhere.

Then, she feels her back hit something that felt like a wall- or a car? She didn't know because Jungkook's warm lips on hers were far more important to think about.

She hums as they kiss slowly and passionately for a few seconds more until he pulls his lip away only slightly, his nose still touching hers and Chaeyoung's eyes slowly flutter open to look at him.

"Chaeyoung.." He whispers, breath fanning her lips.

Her gaze drifts back down to his lips. "Hmm?"

"Do you trust me?"

She nods slowly.

"Good." He kisses her again. "Close your eyes."

On command, Chaeyoung closes her eyes shut. She feels her heart beating excitedly in her chest.

Jungkook's hands that were holding her then pulled away, but his front was still leaning into her as her back rested against the car.

Not a moment longer, she feels something soft and light cover her eyes and she opens her mouth to say something. "A blindfold?"

She reaches up to touch over her eyes only to feel some sort of velvety fabric covering it. She can barely see anything through it.

"You trust me, don't you?" The fabric tightens slightly.

"I do but what's this fo-"

He plants another kiss on her lips. "Don't ask."

Then, he pulls her towards him, her hands flying up to meet his chest and she hears the car door click open behind them. Just like before, he helps her into the car and buckles her seatbelt for her. Chaeyoung was too nervous to say anything so she just let him do the work as a comfortable silence fell between them.

Soon after, he was also in his seat, judging by the slight sounds of the door on his side opening and closing. Then she feels the car start to move and the sound of tires hitting the gravel.

Suddenly impatient, Chaeyoung exhales loudly and breaks the silence. "So I really can't ask any questions?"

"Nope."

"None at all?"

"None at all."

She pouts. "Okay."

"Okay."

She pouts harder.

Jungkook must have seen her disappointed face because then he laughs and reaches over to hold her hand, bringing it up to meet his lips.

"It's worth the wait, baby. I promise."

The whole journey to wherever Jungkook was taking her would have been punishing if he hadn't distracted her with other things to talk about. And many times Chaeyoung tried to return to the topic of his surprise for her but none of them had worked because he would brush it off easily.

She thought that Jungkook was being way too strict about this whole thing.

When she feels the car start to rock a little bit backward, as if they were mounting a steep hill, she asks for probably the fourth time that night, curiosity getting the best of her. "Are we there yet?"

When Jungkook didn't respond, she sighs. "I guess that's a no."

"Actually... Hold that thought."

She grins.

This is it.

She's finally gonna see what Jungkook has prepared for her.

After probably ten minutes more, Chaeyoung feels the car finally slow to a stop.

"We're here." He says.

"Finally!" She squeals.

She hears Jungkook unbuckling his seatbelt beside her. "Don't move, okay? I'll be right back."

"Okay."

A minute later, she hears the trunk door clicking open and some rustling going around in the back. She feels the car move a little bit, probably because of Jungkook, and then she hears him grunt.

"You okay back there?" She calls out worriedly, her ears suddenly extra sensitive to the little sounds he makes as he works around in the background.

"I'm fine, sweetheart. Just sit there and be pretty."

Chaeyoung laughs.

Just as Jungkook told her, she sits in her seat quietly as she waits for her boyfriend to finish what he was doing. Half of her thinks she knows what exactly she could expect but she shakes her head to get rid of any ideas.

Chaeyoung likes to be surprised. There is no use guessing now that they're already here.

"Okay, I'm ready." She hears him say after probably about five minutes of silence. "I'm coming to get you. Hold tight."

When her door clicks open, her head instinctively turns to her side and she gasps when she feels Jungkook almost hugging her. There were more clicking sounds until she's finally pulled out from her seat to stand on the ground.

"Follow me." He whispers as he guides her to walk forward, his hands firmly placed on her waist.

Chaeyoung swallows. "I'm nervous."

"Don't be. It's nothing much."

Then they stopped walking.

Then her blindfold was off.

And the scene in front of her causes a soft gasp to escape her lips.

"This was just something last-minute I could think of that I thought you'd really like." Jungkook says hastily from behind her. "It's really nothing much so do-"

"Jungkook." Her voice was almost breaking.

She hears Jungkook take a sharp intake of breath as she takes in the sight in front of her. She finally understood why he told her not to look at the backseats because there were actually no backseats anymore, like she remembered from the first time she sat in his car.

Because Jungkook had removed and replaced them with probably a reasonably thick mattress, layers of soft blankets and a few fluffy looking pillows. He had even hung some string lights along the roof of the car and his laptop sat comfortably in the middle of everything with the screen flashing the words, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

She feels tears well up in her eyes.

"I didn't get to properly ask you." He breathes into her ear and the hands that were holding her waist are now on her stomach, as he hugs her from the back. "I actually wanted to do this a long time ago."

"When?" She whispers.

"Right after the competition. I kinda guessed that you might want to tell me something important that day so I did a few adjustments to my car."

"You did all this then?"

"Yeah," he chuckles. "This is why I didn't really have time to talk to you for a few days."

The tears she was holding back now stream down her face messily and she sobs into her hands, trying very hard to cover her face.

Jungkook stiffens behind her. "Are you crying?"

"I'm sorry," she chokes out and Jungkook turns her around to look at him.

"Hey, look at me..." Jungkook tears her hands away from her face. "Sweetheart, why are you crying?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just... It's just that.." She sobs again.

Jungkook gently wipes the tears away. "Chaeyoung.."

She sniffles slightly now that hearing his voice calmed her down. "You're really always ten steps ahead of me."

He frowns. "What do you mean?"

She breathes deeply, trying to steady her emotions before she finally answers. "I knew I loved you that day when I visited you for practice. Jennie told me I should tell you then but I was stubborn." She sniffles again. "No matter what, I wanted to surprise you after your game. I wanted to tell you I love you in this big, grand romantic gesture and I wanted to be the first one to do something for once in the relationship. But you... you'll always be ten steps ahead of me, huh?"

Hearing her answer, Jungkook smiles.

He grazes her cheeks with his knuckles, then whispers, "Babe, it's you who've always been ahead of me."

"No, I haven't..."

"You have, baby." His eyes soften. "You approached me first, remember?"

She sulks. "That's different.."

"You can't tell me it's different. You knocked me down hard when you came into my life. I may have realised I loved you first but you," he paused to kiss her nose, "you barged in and made a mess of me. You will always be the first to do anything."

Chaeyoung seems to be comforted by his words, but then she looks away, avoiding his gaze.

"What are you really sad about, actually?"

"I just think you deserve more than I have given you."

Jungkook sighs then wraps his arms tightly around her shoulders, bringing her face close to his chest.

"You loving me back is the greatest gift I could ever ask for, Chaeyoung."

"But I want to do more for you." She says while still not looking at him.

"You have. You opened your heart to me and you let me in. That's more than enough."

She grumbles against his chest. "Whatever. I'll think of something to surprise you with."

His eyes twinkle in delight. "You're still not convinced, are you?"

Chaeyoung finally looks up at him then she shakes her head. "Nope so you better get ready, Jeon Jungkook. Because you won't see it coming."

Jungkook laughs.

For a few minutes, the two of them just gently sway together, with their arms wrapped around each other, listening to their hearts beating until one of them leans in-Jungkook, obviously-and fuses their lips together.

Their kisses were warm and unhurried, and they were lost in their own bubble, barely even noticing the soft, gentle snowfall dancing around them.

With Jungkook's hands on her face, angling her face closer to deepen the kiss, Chaeyoung reaches up too to wrap her fingers around his.

They kiss for a few long minutes more until sudden cracking sounds fill the air around them, jerking them apart, and they look up to see fireworks painting the open sky in different shades of bright colours.

Initially distracted by Jungkook's car surprise, Chaeyoung is finally able to absorb the scenery right beside them and she gasps, taking in the wonderful sight.

The car was parked right on top of a hill and the two of them were standing near the edge, facing the Seoul skyline.

There is a railing a few steps away from them and Chaeyoung walks closer to look at the view, her hands never letting go of him.

"Wow," She breathes out, her face illuminating beautifully under the night sky filled with fireworks.

Jungkook looks at her silently instead of the scenery, his eyes trailing over the bridge of her nose to the shape of her plump lips, then to the curve of her neck.

She's fascinatingly beautiful and Jungkook knew he lucked out.

"Did you plan this too?" She asks, her eyes still fixed on the sight in front of her.

Jungkook studies her features again as if trying to capture an image with his eyes before he replies, "Not really. But I knew there was gonna be a fireworks show at this time." He pauses, "I wish I did do all this though."

"This is amazing," Chaeyoung whispers and then she turns back to look at him. "You're amazing, Jungkook."

He smiles. "All I did was bring you here."

"Stop acting so humble and just kiss me already."

And they did-many times, in fact.

Jungkook's hand had moved to cradle her neck and Chaeyoung's arms rested on his shoulders, her fingers playing with his hair.

When they pulled away to breathe, they met each other's eyes in a hazy stare.

"I can never get enough of your kisses." Jungkook groans.

"Me too." She responds, gently nipping at his lips a few more times as her hands travel down south to fiddle with the hem of his sweatpants. "It's cold. Should we get inside?"

She looks up at him, her big brown eyes seemingly iridescent under the night sky and her lips look so perfectly red and swollen.

It was sexy.

Jungkook wonders how those lips would look around his-Shit. He shouldn't have gone there because now all he could think of is Chaeyoung and her beautiful plump lips.

"Jungkook? You hear me?"

Jungkook shakes his head. "I'm sorry. What were you saying?"

"I said let's get inside. I think I have an idea what to give you as a surprise." She smiles wickedly.

Before he had the chance to respond, his girlfriend had already started pulling him by his jacket towards his car and she pushed him down to lay on the fluffy blankets.

And when she settles herself right on top of him, the trunk door closes as well and Jungkook gulps.

Chaeyoung is right.

He definitely didn't see this coming.
