Granted you have hurt me,
You have not driven me away,
Granted I wanted to let things cool down,
You have burnt the bridge,
But it is not cinders,
I have also burnt the bridge,
Due to a lack of attention,
I knew you are in pain,
Yet I did nothing,
For I was afraid of hurting you,
Hurting you by doing something,
I didn't know if my action,
Would light the lamp at the end of the tunnel,
Or collapse the tunnel on both ends,
So I did nothing,
I waited,
Hoping you would give a sign,
So I knew how to help,
But the only thing that happened,
Was the fire that burnt the bridge.
