Alice's POV
When we got back it's safe to say things were kinda awkward with Alissa and Thor. Like she used to never shut up about him but eventually she stopped but now she's 'too scared' to talk to him. Load of shit in my opinion she's just a pussy. As for Thor I keep seeing him glancing at her direction. Both two pussies.
The next day we all sat in the meeting room and did out the where's and when's for the stones.
Rhodey and nebula are getting the power stone in some place that quill stole it years ago. Back in 2005.
Dad and steve are going back to when I was missing and getting the sceptre from him, so the mind stone.
Bruce (when he gets here) and Scott are going back to the battle in 2012 and getting the time stone from strange.
Nat and Clint are getting the soul stone, once again on a plant I can't remember the name of.
Then there's Thor Alissa Rocket and I, who as the clearly superior group, have to get two stones. The space stone from Asgard and then we go back again to get the reality stone from the collector.
And yes, I tried to bargain my way out of it to go with literally any other group. But no. They won't let me.
That basically sums up yesterday.
Tonight Bruce is finally coming and then tomorrow it's time for this 'time heist'
Tony's POV
Bruce comes back today, haven't spoke to the champ in a couple months. He's told me of his... new style and I can not wait to see it. I don't think any of the others know and aw it'll be so funny to see their face.
It's around 4 in the afternoon and we are all sitting in the living room. Alice and Clint obviously claimed the corner as their own and brought a blanket from one of their bedrooms and loads of pillows, just like they used to in the tower. Natalie is beside Clint, just not under the blankets and then theres Alissa sitting by Alice's feet since she's in the corner and then Thor sat like an arms distance away from Alissa and then everyone else is just kind of scattered around.
Once again, in a typical Alice and Clint fashion, they claimed the tv. So we're stuck watching some movie called 'your name' apparently it's sad but I'm just confused. We just found out they are from different times and- I won't ruin it for you actually. If I have to watch it then you do to if you want to know what happens.
'Oh my god... this is so sad' Thor said quietly crying holding a bottle of beer
'Shhh wait and see what he does to stop it' Alice whispered
Then the door opened.
'Hey guys!' Bruce called. Or as I like to call him brulk
Everyone stared with wide eyes and all that could be heard was the tv
'What the fuck?' Alice whispered to Clint
'My thoughts exactly' he whispered back
'How is that possible?' Scott said
'Bruce?'
'Hi Nat...' brulk said looking rather awkward
After he explained the boring physics of it all everyone had about a gazillion questions each. But the time that was finished it was around half 4. Prefect timing for a time heist.
Alice's POV
The only thing I can think about, he's the only thing I can focus on, the moment I saw him I play over in my head, again and again, over and over.
Brulk.
How is that even possible like what?
I can't even focus of this stupid time heist.
Walking into a room that I've now claimed. Finally I have my own room in this place. I put on my suit dad made along with the time bracelet thing.
Walking back out everyone else is walking towards the time machine thing. Honestly kinda nervous would be an understatement.
But in typical dad fashion he pulled me outside for a word.
We sat down on the bench outside the front doors and it was silent for a minute.
'Alice....' He began
I looked at him 'mhm?'
'I don't know how this is gonna go. And I wish you were coming with me but you can't. And I want you to be safe, let's face it I'm not gonna be around forever-'
'Dad don't say tha-'
'No no listen. Neither are you. That's just life, you know. You live and you die. But you will leave this world behind someday, so promise me you'll live a life that you'll remember. No more of this parting constantly or the club. Please Alice, darling. You know it makes me sad. You have so much potential. Please don't waste it.'
I took a minute to fully take in what he was saying. I sat there and fiddled with my ring but he noticed and put his hand over it.
'A life that you want. Not anybody else.' He added
I let out a deep breath and rested my head on his shoulder.
'Suppose when we save the world again I could start to answer nicks calls'
'You didn't answer his calls?!'
'I uh sent him to aha voice mail...'
He stood up and looked at me, knelling down to my level with a very serious look on his face.
'Your so much like me!' He exclaimed throwing himself on me for a huge bear hug
Laughing I hugged him back and eventually we made our way back inside and stood on the time machine. Me beside Thor and Alissa.
'Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each, except the team with two. No mistakes. No do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know, that doesn't mean we should know what to expect. 'Wow he's really good at that' Scott whispered
'I know right?!' Rocket said back.
'See you guys in a minute' Natasha joked then looking at me
'See you in a minute' I mouthed back to her
Then we all double tapped out bracelets and the time travel suit came on covering us. Not even a second later we were sucked into it flying through all the colours but just as fast as it started we landed in Asgard's prison.
'Okay Thor you know where the vault is, correct?' Alissa said
'Uh yeah...' he said then leading the way.
Sneaky running through the prisons something caught my eye. A can or glass of some sort being thrown in the air. Then I seen who caught it.
Him.
'I'll catch up with you guys' I whisper shouted to them since they were already ages way from me.
I walked up to the cell as silently as I could but ofcourse he heard me, he eyes glued on me the whole time.
'Alice?' He whispered
'Loki' I said feeling as though it was a foreign word for me to say
I walked up and closed my eyes and the barrier opened allowing me to walk in and then closing behind me again.
'How did you manage that' he joked
But I didn't laugh.
I just stared.
With water in my eyes and my mouth agape.
'Alice? Darling? How did you get here?' He said approaching me
'I need the Tesseract' I whispered still staring at him as before
'It may have only been a few month but my gods your hairs grown a lot' he pulled some of my hair that was behind my shoulders to be at my front.
I nodded slightly
'Come. Sit' he said wrapping his arm around my waist and having me sit on his bed.
'Your not the Alice from this year, are you?'
I shook my head
'What's wrong' he whispered tucking the hair he placed in front of me behind my ear.
I swallowed, a lot louder than I wanted to.
'I'm not from this year. I already lived through it' I said looking into his eyes. His greens eyes that I've missed so much.
He smiled and lay down on the bed pulling me along with him.
'I've missed you' he whispered then kissing the top of my head
I wrap my arms around him and rest my head on his shoulders.
'I missed you too. So so so much'
'Am I not there, with you in the future?' He said then sitting up and looking at me confused.
'You- uh. You got snapped away Loki. You've been gone for 5 years.' I said feeling a few tears fall
'Snapped away?'
'Thanos snapped half the universe away. You happened to be one of them'
'How are you here then?'
'We're getting the stones from places we know and we're going to snap our fingers and bring everyone back. It's a lot to explain...'
He sighed and pulled me in for a hug again
'I've missed you loki. I've missed you more than words can explain.' I said blinking back the tears.
'And I you my love. And I you.'
'Alice? Alice where the hell are you!' Alissa shouted in the near distance
'Shit' I muttered
'Go, darling. I'll always come back to you' he said letting go of me.
I stood up and looked at him but his eyes were trained on my right hand
'That's my mother's engagement ring?' He said
'Uh yeah, yeah it is' I said feeling awkward
'We're engaged?'
'You got dusted around 10/15 minutes after you asked me'
'It's on the wrong hand. Here' he said kneeling down and picking my hand up and taking the ring off 'let me fix it' he said then putting it on my left hand.
'Believe it or not what you just did there now was a lot more romantic than how you actually proposed' I laughed
'And how did I do that' he laughed back
'In battle. You threw it at me'
He laughed 'well I'll be sure to make me asking you to court me be extra romantic to make up for the shitty proposal'
Then I remembered how he asked me. And it certainly did make up for it. Cloud watching. The picnic. The speech. Everything. Even a ring.
'Alice! For the love of the gods where are you!' Alissa shouted coming closer
'Tell me however. Before you go, them powers you've got. How?'
I sighed 'okay I'm doing this super quick. Thanos kidnapped me when I was a kid and did it. Since then he's been hiding in vanaheim under the protection of the prince who lives there, adrian. I went through this mind healing process and got my memories back of that time along with these powers but there's more then what I just did. You'll find out soon'
He looked at me and smiled. Placing his index finger under my chin and leading it upwards he then leaned down and kissed me. A soft and gentle kiss.
'Alice?! For gods sake!' Alissa shouted getting closer again
He pulled out 'go, my love. I'll always come back to you, I promise.'
I hugged him really tight 'I love you' I whispered
'I love you too'
I let go and walked to the barrier and focused on it then stepping out and closing it again.
I took one last look at him before running off to where I heard Alissa last.
Within two minutes I found her. Wondering around like a headless chicken
'There you are! Thor's missing and so is rocket and I've no clue where the vault is and at that I don't have the suitcase rocket does! This is a disaster!' She said then throwing her hands in the air
'Come on' I grabbed her hand
'Where to'
'To find Thor. I know he's in his room, he has a stash of ale under his bed'
Once we eventually made it to Thor's room I popped my head in and seen he was talking with Frigga. Before I could turn away she seen me and beckoned both Alissa and I in.
'So your the fair lady who has my son wrapped around her finger?' She questioned with a warm smile
'Well I wouldn't say that' I smiled back
That's when she noticed the ring. Her ring.
'Ah. So you are the future queen of Asgard aswell. You've quite the future ahead of you'
Before I could answer her rocket my running in.
'Quick. I got the stone. We gotta go!' He shouted
'Get that rabbit!!' Was heard in the background
Thor hugged frigga as did I and then just as we summoned our suits the guards ran in.
Being sucked into the rays of colours we landed in a place I didn't want to see again.
The collectors place.
And even worse.
Stood with their backs to us was WS and Alice Daughter of Thanos.
