Cashier: Will that be all?
Emma: Yes.
Cashier: *scans the cookies* $2.19.
Emma: I'm a dollar short. Can you spot me?
Man: Me?
Emma: Yes. I'm just a dollar short.
Man: I don't have any cash on me. Only my debit card. Sorry.
Emma: Well, this is sorta awkward.... *backs away slowly with the cookies*
Cashier: Where are you going? You have to pay for that.
Emma: *swiftly runs out of Big Lots with the cookies*
Cashier: We got a shoplifter!! *calls the cops*
Emma: *quickly runs out of the parking lot and back onto Washington St* I better hightail back home, before the cops pursue me!
Cops: *turn their siren on and drive towards Emma on Washington St*
Emma: *runs onto West St*
Cops: *turn onto West St*
Emma: *runs onto Middlefield St* Maybe I can lose them on this street! I can run left onto Butternut St, and head back home that way!
Cops: *turns right onto Middlefield St*
Emma: Don't they ever give up?! *getting tired of running*
Cops: *gets out of the car* Drop those cookies, and put your hands in the air!
Ken: *driving on Middlefield St* Emma?!!!!
Emma: Ken!!! Uh oh!!! *gulps*
