Its been three months after my lamentable marriage. Lots of things happend during these months. Mostly I was an unwanted person in this home . I don't bother anyone and the same they too doesn't bother me. But they cared even its a little bit.
My MIL made sure I'm being okay in their home. But as I know, human being is such a creature that can never be trusted. So me being me, I tried my best to avoid them and stay out of their way.
Most of the people thought me as a mute because they saw me working at the disabled school where I taught children sign language. Since then the rumors started to spread like a wild fire , me being a mute, which was my karma. But I never bothered to correct any of their words.
One day as usual while I was going to work my SIL' s MIL called me bad omen asked me never to come infront of her daughter in law since I was bad luck i could cause bad things to her grandchild . But who cared about her words I just shrugged my shoulder and went to my room. I really wanted to show her a piece of mind but l let her be like that for her own safety. If my anger gets out of me no one can bare the consequences. So I stayed silent mainly because I learned to control my anger.
Never does anything bother me in this house but the only thing bothers me is Aman , the ways he speaks, the way he loves everyone around him , the way the dimples forming in his cheeks when he smiles reminds me of my Vicky whom I loved like there is a never tomorrow. Sometimes seeing him smile would automatically make my mouth twitch. It reminds me of my Vicky , he was a gem. No one in the this world can ever be like him.
With all these thoughts running in my mind I went downstairs to leave for school. I love teaching children and even my in laws knew so they never bothered me.
When I reached downstairs everyone were having breakfast . I dont want to disturb them so I walked towards the door. Suddenly my MIL called me " Tara stop". I turned towards her , near her stood our maids daughter who is nearly 18 years old . I just guessed something is gonna happen. " Did you had dinner last night ?" She asked me out of the world. I just stood there dumbfolded because till this day I haven't done that. Mostly I don't feel hunger.
" Neetha aunty she never takes food from this home . Most of the nights she would sleep without taking anything and some days even in the morning she does that." Said the maid's daughter . My eyes widened at her revelation. Because I never thought someone could even notice me in this house. I glared at her and she averted her gaze from looking into my eyes.
Suddenly my MIL came towards me took my hands in her and walked me toward the dining table . The next thing she did was totally shocking to me. She started feeding me with her hands but I did not open my mouth in shock . Someone pinched me which made me open my mouth and she filled my mouth with food . My eyes started to blur due to the tears because she was the first person after Vikcy to feed me and care for me. He was my everything but now its just a useless dream.
She wiped my tears and woke up from the chair . I held her hand which made her stop her tracks and look at me. Out of the blue I said " Thank you" . Her eyes widened and gasps were heard around me which made me look around and then I realized what I did . I spoke infront of everyone. I did not look into anyone's eyes. I don't know what came over me . I just spoke infront of a stranger. So casually I walked out of the house to my school....
