Requested by cg2005101courtney20: Y/N is in a relationship and gets pregnant by her boyfriend. When she goes to tell him, she finds him in bed with another girl, and so goes to Tom instead. He agrees to let her stay and to help her through the pregnancy. When the baby is born, he asks Y/N out and asks to be the baby's dad.

I sat in the car, tears rolling down my face as I drove to my boyfriend's house. I was driving to his house from the hospital, where I had just found out that I was pregnant. Pregnant with the baby of a man who I was falling out of love with. Life was great. My first thought when the doctor had told me that I was pregnant was to tell my best friend and secret crush, Tom, since I had secretly wished that it was his baby instead. I had loved him for most of our decade-long friendship, but given the fact that I'd never been given any sign that he felt the same, I had never pursued it. I had wanted to tell him first about my new situation, but I knew that I couldn't tell him before telling the actual father of the baby. God, thinking of it like that felt so weird. I was only twenty-four and so wasn't sure if I was ready for a baby, but I also didn't want to terminate it, or even let another family raise it. I had a lot to think about. I gulped harshly, my eyes wavering as I pulled into the driveway of my boyfriend's house. I turned the engine off and took a deep breath, my heart almost pounding out of my chest as I got out of my car and headed to the door. I unlocked it and looked around as I headed in.
"Caleb? You home?" I called out as I wandered through the house. I took deep breaths, a huge lump in my throat as I looked for him.
"Caleb?" I yelled again, my eyebrows furrowing as I couldn't find him anywhere. Which was weird considering that I knew that he wasn't working today. I headed along to his bedroom, more confusion entering my head as I could hear moans.
"For fucks' sake." I mumbled and rolled my eyes as I realised that I'd probably walk in to see him masturbating. But I still had to talk to him. I opened the bedroom door and my eyes widened at what I saw.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" I screamed as I walked in to see my boyfriend and the mystery girl scrambling to move apart and cover their naked bodies with his sheets.
"Babe, what are you doing here?" he scoffed. I stared at him with wide eyes, my heart breaking and my mind racing as I knew what I'd walked in on. I'd been cheated on.
"We need to talk. About more than one thing, apparently." I choked and shook my head as I turned to leave.
"Y/N, please!" He yelled, tears pricking my eyes as I stormed out into the kitchen.
"Y/N, wait." He scoffed as he took my hand and turned me back around to face him.
"I'm pregnant, Caleb." I nodded. His eyes widened.
"What? What do you mean? Is it mine?" he gulped.
"Of course it's yours, I'm not a cheating asshole like you." I choked and shook my head. He stared at me with wide eyes as he clearly tried to figure out how to react.
"Fuck, Y/N...I-I don't know what you want me to say, but I do know that I want no part of that kid's life. I don't want a baby with you." He shook his head.
"That's obvious from the fact that you were sleeping with another woman behind my back." I nodded sarcastically as tears continued to roll down my face. He sighed and looked at me.
"Well, what are you going to do? Keep it, adoption, abortion?" He asked. I gulped and bit my lip, my head starting to pound with how much I was crying as I just stared at him. I didn't even know what I wanted to do, all I knew was that my now-ex-boyfriend wanted no part of it. And I didn't want him there either.
"I don't know what I'm doing yet, but I do know that I don't want you within ten miles of me and this baby." I shook my head.
"Fucking fine by me. Whatever you do, I don't care as long as you leave me out of it. Also, in case it wasn't clear from the other girl in my bed, we're done." He scoffed.
"Yeah we are, no way I'd stay with a cheating, lying asshole like you." I choked, making him roll his eyes as I stormed out of his house. I rushed back to my car, my face wet with my tears as I slammed the door and started the engine on. I choked and bit my lip, my whole body numb as I started to drive.
I knocked on the front door, tears still wetting my skin as I waited at the door of the only person who I could think of to go to right now. The door opened and I looked up at it. Tom's eyes wavered as he saw the state that I was in.
"Hey, love...you okay?" he asked slowly.
"Far from it, Tommy." I cried, making his eyes widen as I immediately stepped forward and wrapped my arms tightly around his waist.
"Woah, okay, you're alright, come and sit down." he cooed, his lips pressing to my hair as he returned the hug. He gently moved us to the sofa, my best friend softly pushing me to sit down as he looked at me.
"What happened, sweetheart? Come on, talk to me." he encouraged as he gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I choked and looked at him.
"I'm pregnant with Caleb's baby." I admitted. His eyes wavered, a sadness coming over them as he sat up properly to look at me.
"Oh...is that 'congratulations'?" he gulped as he was clearly unsure if my tears were happy or not.
"It would have been if I hadn't gone to his house, to tell him about the baby, only to find him cheating on me." I cried and shook my head. Tom's eyes widened.
"He did what?!" he spat, but I knew that the anger wasn't directed at me.
"Yup. I went there to tell him about his baby, to see him in bed with some other girl. Then when I told him, he said that he didn't care what I did because he wanted absolutely nothing to do with the poor thing." I sobbed as I squeezed my eyes shut and looked down. Tom looked at me, my best friend clearly at a loss for words as he just soothingly rubbed his hand up and down my back.
"Darling, I...I'm so sorry. I can't believe that he cheated on you, and I can't believe that he doesn't want your baby. I mean, you're fucking amazing in every way, who in their right mind would cheat on you?" He scoffed and shook his head. I looked at him, my eyes widening slightly at his words. What did he mean, I was amazing in every way? I didn't want to risk reading into it if there was nothing there, but it felt like he wasn't calling me amazing as a friend. It felt like he meant more.
"Thank you, Tom, but he obviously didn't think so. Fuck, I'm now going to be a single mum in a matter of months, how the fuck am I going to raise this kid by myself? I could barely look after myself until two years ago, and now in six months, I'll be responsible for a baby too?" I choked. Tom sighed, his gaze wandering as he thought. Suddenly, his eyes widened. He looked back at me.
"Love...move in with me." he scoffed. My eyes widened as I looked at him.
"W-what?" I gulped.
"Sweetheart, don't you see how perfect this is? You move in, and I can help you through the pregnancy. You don't have to worry at all about money because I will refuse any money that you put towards food and rent or anything, and I can get you any baby stuff that you need." he stated. I stared at him with wide eyes, my heart almost thumping out of my chest at his suggestion of moving in with him.
"Tommy, I-that's such an amazing offer, but I can't do that to you." I gulped and shook my head.
"Why not?" he scoffed. I bit my lip and tried to think. In reality, I wanted nothing more than to live with Tom, and maybe even for something to happen after the baby was born, but I'd also never stop feeling like I owed him, especially if I was living there rent-free.
"B-because...well, you'll be gone half the time-."
"Free house and dog care for me, free childcare for you."
"But what about space?"
"Have you seen this house? I have six bedrooms."
"I need to pay rent at the very least."
"You're my best friend and I can afford it, you're not paying rent."
"What about the baby always crying when they're here?"
"You know that I can sleep through anything, love, and if I get woken up, I'm more than happy to help." he chuckled and shook his head as he scooted forward again and took my hand. I sighed and looked at him.
"I really can't talk you out of letting me move in, can I?" I chuckled nervously.
"To be honest, darling, I'd hope that you wouldn't want to talk me out of it." he admitted.
"I-I don't, it's just that I'm going to feel so bad if I'm not paying anything or not contributing in any way." I gulped.
"You don't need to, sweetheart. Look, I love you, and you need me. Of course I'm going to come through for you." he promised. I looked at him, my heart jumping at those three small words. I love you. I was sure that he didn't mean them how they were supposed to be used, but I'd take it regardless. I sighed and nodded.
"Okay, Tommy. Yeah, I'd really appreciate the place to stay and the help. Thank you so much." I choked and shook my head.
"Anything for you, love, absolutely anything." he promised. I gave him a small smile, tears still leaving my eyes as I curled into his body and he wrapped his arms further around me again.
~Seven months later~
I squeezed my eyes shut, screams leaving my lips and my teeth gritting together as sweat caked my skin.
"Come on, love, you're so close, you can do it." Tom encouraged, my best friend sitting behind me on the hospital bed and me sitting in between his legs with my back against his chest as he helped me through labour. Tom had been amazing throughout my entire pregnancy, the boy doing everything from buying the baby furniture, to baby-proofing his house, to even going to every scan with me and talking to my bump. He'd stuck to his promise of being there the whole time for me, and I only loved him more for that.
"Fuck, I can't, it hurts so much, I can't." I choked and shook my head.
"Yes you can, sweetheart, come on, he's nearly here, and I'm right here too. You've got this." he promised as he kissed my hair. I took another deep breath and nodded, making him return it as he took my hands.
"One more big push, Miss Y/L/N, and then your son will be here. Come on, you can do it." the midwife nodded. I returned it and gulped before starting to push again. Pain ran through me, cries and screams leaving my mouth as I pushed as hard as I could whilst gripping onto Tom's hands for dear life. I stopped and my eyes shot open as I heard crying, making me look down.
"What-is he here?" I gulped.
"Yes, he is. Congratulations, you have a beautiful baby boy." The midwife smiled as she raised my son so that I could see him.
"Well done, darling, I'm so proud of you. You did so well." Tom soothed as he placed gentle kisses to my head.
"I can't believe that it's over. Longest twelve hours of my life." I puffed out, making him laugh and nod as the midwife brought my son back to me, now cleaned off and wrapped in a white and yellow blanket and hat.
"Here's your very healthy baby boy." She chuckled, making me smile as she gently placed him into my arms.
"Hello, gorgeous boy." I cooed softly, my son's eyes closed as I gently stroked his face with my finger.
"He's perfect, sweetheart. Can tell that he's your son." Tom complimented, making me smile up at him as he continued to kiss my head.
"We'll be back in ten minutes to take him for checks, but we'll leave you for now to enjoy your new baby." The midwife smiled as the other nurses started to leave.
"Thank you." Tom nodded as they shut the door. I just stared down at my son, my heart already in awe of his perfect little face as he slept in my arms.
"You decided on a name for him yet, darling?" Tom asked.
"I still like 'Peter', but rumours about who the dad is will start circulating like crazy if Tom Holland's best friend has just had a son who she happened to call after his biggest role." I teased, making him laugh and nod.
"Yeah, they'd have a field day with that...but I actually want to talk to you about that." he admitted. My eyebrows furrowed and I looked up at him.
"What do you mean, Tommy?" I asked. He gulped and looked at me.
"I just...over your pregnancy, over the time that you've been living with me, I've really seen you in a different light. I started to see you less as my best friend, and more as someone who I'm in love with. I love everything about you, I loved all the nights where you couldn't fall asleep because he was kicking and so we cuddled instead. I lived for those moments. And then there's him. I watched him grow, I was there when his dad should have been in my place, but I'm not mad about that. What I'm trying to say is that I love you, and I love him too. And so I'd love for you to stay living with me, as my girlfriend, and I'd love to help you raise him. As his dad." he admitted. My eyes widened, my heart starting to thump more harshly in my chest at his words. Not only did Tom want to be my baby's dad, but he wanted to be my boyfriend too. He wanted us to be his. The thought made my heart flutter in happiness. The thought of waking up every morning with his arm over my waist, the thought of him treating my son like his own as he made him breakfast, the thought of us one day having children of our own who my son would treat like full siblings. I wanted it all, and I wanted it with Tom.
"I'd love that, Tommy. So, yes, I'll be your girlfriend, and yes you can be my baby's dad." I smiled. He choked, his eyes wavering as he returned my smile and leant down to kiss me. I returned the kiss, my hand raising to hold his face as I remained sitting in between his legs. He broke the kiss and looked at me.
"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, darling. And I can't wait to raise little Peter as my own." he teased, making me raise an eyebrow at him.
"Oh, so I am going with 'Peter' now apparently?" I scoffed.
"I'm also raising him now, so why not?" He smirked. I returned it and bit my lip as I looked down at my son.
"'Peter' it is then." I smiled, making Tom return it as he kissed my head and we continued to look down at my son. Our son.
