Blossom's POV
Things have been... strange these past few days
Alexander and Sophie aren't speaking to Sin
Toby won't stop speaking to him about hell and demons and if he can get some sort of title for being his brother.
Or a crown.
"You ready baby?" Sin asked, appearing in the bathroom
I nodded, adjusting my ribbon on my head as I looked at myself in the mirror
I tried to look a tad more... edgy today.
We were going to hell. Or... down? To hell.
Asteria was 'briefing' Sin on his new role today
He wouldn't be crowned for a few weeks yet, but he needed showing around and teaching their ways.
"You look... different" he said
I frowned at him in our reflections
"A bad different?" I asked worriedly. I didn't want to look stupid
He shook his head, winding his arms round my waist and kissing the spot just under my ear, ghosting over my mark and causing a shiver to run down my back.
Blossom's Outfit
"You're gorgeous no matter what" he said
"I just don't want you to think you have to change Bloss, you're you. And you're perfect the way you are" he said
I smiled. I was really excited for today. Hesitant... but excited
It was a whole new world to explore, for Sin to explore a new side of himself.
But I felt... a bit conscious of what I wore today. I didn't want them to look at me and think I was weak. Or childish
"Worth trying to say goodbye to mom and dad?" He asked after a moment
I nodded
"Course, it's worth a try" I said, turning round
He sighed
"Fine" he said, hesitantly letting me go.
Before he kissed my forehead and trudged off back into the room
He had to put the effort in with them
Because god knows they won't
Sin's POV
"At least let me in" I called out, banging on the door again
They didn't respond
Fuck sake.
"Don't you dare" I heard mom's voice shout from inside
Before the door swung open. And Toby stood there, with nothing but sweatpants on and a bagel in his hand.
His hair was all messed up and he moved the slowest I've ever seen him
He looked like he'd woken up 2 seconds ago
"Hey" he said, walking off and leaving the door open
I sighed, trailing in after him
"Mom" I called out, heading into the kitchen
"Toby! I told you not to" she shouted, before she turned round, leaning against the counter, arms crossed and a glare directed at me.
"Really? We're still doing this?" I asked
"We're not doing anything. You're the one wrecking this family" she said in an accusing tone
"Wrecking this family? Mom it's not that serious" I said.
"You're taking over hell. You're playing right into what Narissa wanted. You're becoming-"
"Like them?" I asked
She hesitated, before dropping the act
"You just- you'll spend time down there and before you know it you'll be embracing your demon and... honey what if you don't come back?" She asked.
"I'll always come back" I said
"You don't know that, what if your demon takes over and you never come back. What are we supposed to do? What is the pack supposed to do? What will Blossom do?" She asked.
"Mom" I sighed, Kade popped up at her statement, pacing round in my head at the thought of being without Blossom
"Look I have to get going but we'll talk later, we can have dinner?" I suggested
She looked at me, for a long moment
"Okay. Just... be careful down there. Please?" She asked.
I nodded
"I will be" I said simply
Before Toby's head poked around the corner
"Can I go?" He asked hopefully, looking a lot more awake now
"No" mom and I said immediately in sync
"Please. Please please please. I really wanna" he whined.
"No. Categorically. No" she said again
He groaned. Walking over to the kitchen island and resting his head against the table, sat slumped on the stool
"You never let me have any fun" he whined
"Fun? It's hell. There isn't going to be much fun. Just the risk of you getting your neck snapped" Mom said.
"Exactly. Fun" he complained
I sighed
"Please Sin" he begged
"Excuse me. I said no. You don't ask him" she said.
"He's the alpha" he shrugged
"Your father is the alpha actually. And I'm your Luna, and your mother. You're not going" she snapped
"Fine. Then I'll sit here all day and complain" he said, resting his chin on his hands, swinging his legs back and forth. Consistently hitting the leg of the table.
Creating a very annoying banging sound
"Stop" Mom said
"This is the price you pay for neglect" he said
"Negl- I'm stopping you from getting killed" she said
"He won't get killed" I chimed in
"See? Sin will protect me" he said.
"I never said that" I retorted
The banging continued, for a solid two minutes before mom finally caved, slamming her wooden spoon down on the counter and turning to Toby
"You stay by Sin's side. You don't talk, look, think or breath near any of them. And you do not tell your father" she snapped.
"Yay" he said loudly, jumping off the stool and running upstairs
"I never agreed to take you" I shouted after him
"Mom said yes! You have to!" He shouted
I sighed, looking to mom for help
She just tutted at me, turning back round to the cake she was making.
"You got yourself into this. You reap the consequences" she said simply
Fuck.
Blossom's POV
Hell was just how I remembered it. Scary.
And Toby's constant yapping wasn't exactly helping us in the public eye
They looked at us like we were scum
Well. They looked at me and Toby like we were scum
They really didn't like wolves.
The thought alone had Kore on high alert.
She really didn't like any chance of a threat. To me or to Sin
She even got hyper active when someone looked at Toby the wrong way.
So I had remained close to Sin's side our entire time here.
"And this is the throne room" Asteria stated in a bored tone, leaning against the grand door frame. Whilst I marvelled at the sight in front of me.
It was... dark. But beautiful. Like a renaissance theme mixed with the darkness.
It was just... picturesque
"Cool. Why are there only two though?" Toby asked, jumping into the king seat leisurely
"One for the king. One for the queen" she said in an obvious tone
I felt slightly uneasy.
That was Narissa's throne
I felt... guilty knowing I'd be sitting it in one day
"Can I get one?" Toby asked
"And what... are you?" Asteria asked, looking him up and down
"His brother" he stated proudly.
"Ah well in that case... no" she deadpanned
He pouted, crossing his arms
"No fair" he said
"Right come on. I've got to show you the living quarters. We have a meeting in an hour" Asteria spoke up, strolling out the room.
"I don't like her. She's mean" Toby said
"She's a pain in the a-"
"Sin" I snapped in a hushed tone
Demons didn't have hearing to the level we did. But I still didn't want him causing an argument.
He huffed, taking my hand in his and leading us after her.

"These are the grounds" she said, leaning against the balcony, resting her head on her hand.
She seemed really disinterested in all this. But I suppose she saw this everyday. She lived here after all.
To me it was magical though... truly beautiful.
"Ah... Keane, glad I caught you" Asteria called out, but it sounded like fake enthusiasm
A man looked our way, hesitating on his way up the black steps before he sighed, cursing to himself and trudging over to us.
He was very tall, with blonde hair and icy eyes, a scar trailing over his cheek and what looked like a piercing. A small hoop running over the middle of his bottom lip, disappearing past the seams of his lips.
His wings were out, no horns or... scary eyes
Just wings
"What Asteria?" He asked blankly
"This is Sin. The soon to be king" she said simply
"I know. I can practically smell the dirt and the fur on them" he said in disdain
"Watch it" Sin warned.
He scoffed
"Alright... mutt" he said, looking over to me and Toby
"And these?" He asked expectantly
"His brother and Luna" she said, discarding her attention of us and looking over at the gardens. Everything was dead. But in a calming beautiful way.
Keane's gaze lingered on me for a moment
"She's cute. For a dog" he said simply
Oh... thanks?
"I said watch it" Sin snapped, his hold tightening round my hand.
Keane smirked at him
"What? It was a compliment" he said, looking down at me
"I'm sure everyone will love having her as a queen" he said, the insinuation clear.
Sin tensed beside me, before I was left standing alone, hand gone from mine.
Sin was in front of me in a heartbeat, his wings breaking out immediately, horns cracking from his skull and I could only imagine how black his eyes were as he stared Keane down.
Keane didn't flinch though, he didn't even blink, he just smirked
Before he looked over Sin, assessing every attribute that came with a demon form.
"There's what we wanted" he commented, looking over at Asteria.
"Not bad" he said simply, beginning to stroll away
"Wings might be a problem though" he called calmly over his shoulder
My eyes flickered over to Sin, his back to me, allowing me to roam over his wings once more.
The cracks were heartbreaking
They looked so defeated and worn out
And he'd barley had a chance to ever use them.
The guilt soared through me again as I thought back to that day
The day he ruined his wings. For me.
Asteria finally turned back to us
"If you're quite done goading" she called after Keane
He just threw his hand up, a signal that he no longer had any interest in the conversation
Leaving me with a brooding Killian.
"Come along then. We don't have all day" she said, walking off, seemingly unfazed that Sin was in his demon form now.
"Do you even get day down here?" Toby asked, following her curiously
I could tell she was getting sick of his questions.
"Baby" I looked back up, only to find Killian staring into my damn soul
Help.

"How long we got?" Toby asked
"An hour" I said, cautiously watching Killian as he sat in a chair by the fire
We'd been shown into a bedroom. One of the 'royal living quarters' as Asteria referred to it.
"Cool, I'm gonna go find something to eat then" he said simply, heading for the door
"I thought your mom said you had to stay with us?" I said
"What mom don't know won't hurt her" he said, the door already closing behind him.
I sighed, turning back around. Only to find him still staring at me
"What?" I asked weakly
"Just... odd" he said slowly, his arms leaning against the armchairs
"What is?" I asked, slightly scared
"Seeing you. Right in front of me, instead of from the back of his mind" he said.
I didn't say anything. But I did shift a bit uncomfortably on the spot
"So close. I could just... touch you" he said, looking me up and down
I swallowed rather harshly, taking a hesitant step back.
His eyes darted to the floor, his body tensing
"Why are you backing away?" He asked
"I-I'm not" I said
"Are you scared?" He asked, cocking his head to the side slightly.
"No" I struggled out
"Hm" he hummed. Just... watching me
"Why... why are you out?" I asked
"He disrespected you" he said simply
"He doesn't like wolves" I said back in defence
We couldn't just expect them all to be okay with us.
"You think he was right?" He asked, standing up
I stiffened, a new wave of anxiety rushing through me as he took a step towards me
"I... I don't know" I muttered.
I wasn't exactly the prettiest girl around. Werewolf genes gave other girls tanned skin, doe eyes and caramel coloured hair that lightened in the sun.
I wasn't the average 'beach babe' kind of girl.
"Well then... I'll just have to show you how beautiful you are. Hm?" He drawled out, slowly stalking towards me, eyes clouded in what could only be described as lust.
A predatory gaze that had me continuing my path backwards and a warm spreading throughout my body.
"Even if I have to fuck it into your pretty little head"
Sorry for the late updates. I've been working on other books. One which I'll be releasing soon. Fully completed. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter, the next will come a lot sooner.
