Continuing :
Kiara and Deepak were talking when Abhishek interrupted them ,
" Dr.Deepak Agarwal , its great that you came to party , where is your brother ? " .
" He got stuck with some important meeting , so he couldnt come . But he sent his wishes for your anniversary " Deepak said smiling.
They both talked for sometime and Abhishek left saying that he had to attend the other guests .
Kiara was silent during the whole question .
She stared at Deepak confused .
" You knew my father before" she asked .
" Ya , I met him with my brother , in a investors meeting . Akshay had met your father before , so he invited us both to the party " Deepak explained . ( Deepak's brother , Akshay Agarwal , is a businessman .)
Kiara looked at him angrily , " Why didnt you tell me , you already met my father ".
" I met only him this afternoon ! " Deepak said in his defense.
" But still you should have told me " Kiara said with a cute spout , hitting him .
" Kiara , ouch . Sorry . Please stop hitting him" Deepak said in a desperate voice .
Kiara suddenly started laughing , seeing him scared .
Deepak looked at her confused .
" You are laughing at me " Deepak said annoyed .
" Your ..... your...... face , its funny " Kiara said between laughs .
Deepak was about to say something , when suddenly Rhea came there .
" Diii , I have been searching for you , come fast " .
Kiara turned to Deepak before going , " Wait , I will be back " she said .
Deepak nodded back .
" So who is that Mr.Handsome di " Rhea asked .
Kiara blushed a little .
" Oh my god , you are blushing " Rhea said with a Reading my smile .
" He's Deepak " Kiara said .
Rhea was shocked , " Deepak as in the Deepak from Shimla " .
Kiara nodded .
" Why didnt you tell me your boyfriend is coming " Rhea asked .
" He arrived in Delhi only today morning "
Only Pragya and Rhea know about Kiara and Deepak's love . Pragya said that she would tell Abhi about it after meeting him in person .
" Are you going to tell ma " Rhea asked .
" Of course , thats why I asked him to come to the party "
" Dont be nervous di , everyone knows about famous , charming and kind Dr.Deepak Agarwal . Ma and papa will be happy "
Kiara smiled and hugged her lil sister .
Prachi went towards Shahil after Rhea went .
" Surprise " she shouted .
Shahil turned around and saw Prachi standing there .
" Prachi you ? " Shahil asked surprised .
" Dont be shocked, first tell me how you came here " Prachi said .
Shahil explained how he and Rhea were friends and she invited him .
" Oh ok " Prachi said with a teasing smile .
" Why that smile " Shahil asked suspecting something naughty going in her mind .
" No , it nothing " Prachi said and went away before he could say anything.
She was chuckled to herself , remembering Shahil's face when she went after teasing him .
She was engrossed in her thoughts that she didnt see Ranbir coming before her . She bumped into him and lost her balance .
But two strong arms caught her as she was about to fall .
Prachi opened her eyes felling the touch on her waist .
As usual thet both got lost in each other's eyes .
The party music brought them from their dreamland .
They both stood up straight .Prachi instantly lowered her eyes , while a small smile crept into Ranbir's face .
" Thanks " she said slightly blushing .
She was about to leave when she felt a pull , she turned around and saw Ranbir holding her hand preventing her from going .
She glanced at her hand and looked up at Ranbir raising her eyebrows .
" Where are you going " he asked
" um.... no where " Prachi said .
" then come with me " he said and dragged her into a room before she could protest.
" What are you doing Ranbir?? " she asked surprised as he closed the door.
" She is here " he said .
" who is here ? "
" Tina "
" who is Tina ? "
He was about to say when she heard a voice outside
" Baby , Ranbir baby . Where are you ? "
Prachi giggled while Ranbir slapped his forehead in dismay .
They waited for sometime as Tina's voice faded away.
" So Tina is your girlfriend " Prachi said still giggling .
" No ...... but yes . She is Chief's friend's daughter . She became obsessed with me the day we met. After we started to hangout , everyone started to think we are in love " Ranbir explained .
" So you dont like her ? " Prachi asked.
" I think I dont " Ranbir said.
" Then why don't you say that to her "
" Every time I try to say it to her , something just happens . She dosent even let me talk "
" Well , there is no better time than the present . You try again . Plus it's not good to stay in an unwanted relationship " Prachi said smiling .
Ranbir looked at her and thought for sometime .
" You are right , I will try again " he said smiling and and went.
Prachi smiled and got out of the room . She walking when she heard a sound . It was coming from a dark room , in which the window was open and the window's doors were slamming against the wall due to the wind .
She went inside and closed the window . She was about to go when the room's door slammed shut .
She tried to open the door but it was jammed .
She tried to switch on the light but it was not working .
She started breathing heavily .
All the memories of Tanu beating her in a dark room flashed in her mind . Tears start rolling down her cheeks . She fell down feeling scared. She couldn't scream for help .
She took out her phone , but the battery was dead .
She was panicking when she heard a voice .
" Prachi , are you in here ?? "
It was Ranbir , he had went to find Tina , but couldn't . So he had come back . He had started searching for Prachi when he saw the closed room .
He was about to go , when he heard her shivering voice .
" Ranbir , I am here . The door is jammed . Please help me "
Ranbir got worried hearing her shivering .
He forced the door open .
He turned on his flashlight , and saw Prachi hugging her knees , crying . shivering against the wall .
He immediately went to her and hugged her .
" Its ok , I am here "
Prachi was relieved . She snuggled into his embrace , sobbing quietly .
Ranbir made her stand , but she was still scared .
" It is better if you go home . I will drop you , ok " he said .
Prachi just nodded her head.
They both were silent the whole ride .
Ranbir understood that she was sacred of dark and closed spaces , so he didnt any questions.
He stopped the car before Prachi's house .
He got out of the car and helped Prachi get up .
She suddenly felt a little dizzy and held Ranbir for support .
Ranbir noticed this and got concerned .
" I will take you , come " he said .
" No its ok , I will go " Prachi said .
" You are not feeling good , I will help you " Ranbir said .
Prachi nodded her head , as she was still feeling weak .
He put one hand around her on her shoulder and held her hand with other.
He took her inside the house , and made her sit on the bed .
" I will call a doctor " he said and took out his phone and went outside .
Prachi changed her clothes and sat on the bed thinking .
All the torchers Tanu gave her flashed before her eyes .
A tear escaped her eye . She smiled a little thinking about Ranbir . It felt really safe and comforting to be in his embrace .
Only a really few people cared for her . Her whole life her best friends were only Shahil and Shahana . They were always there for .
Shahana was her best friend and sister.
Shahil was always the protective brother she wished for .
Now seeing Ranbir's concerns for her , she was happy .
Her thoughts broke as Ranbir entered the room with the doctor .
The doctor checked her and said that she was stressed out and needed some rest .
Ranbir came and sat beside her after the doctor left .
" How are you feeling ? "
" Better " she replied smiling .
" Do you live here alone ? " Ranbir asked .
Prachi's face fell as she thought about Tanu .
" No , I live with my mumma . But she is hardly ever present home " she said with a sad smile .
" Ok . Do you need anything else ? "
" No , but thanks "
" Thanks for what ? "
" For everything you did "
" Thats what friends do " he said smiling .
Prachi smiled back.
He said goodbye and left .
Prachi layed down thinking about Ranbir . But then eventually slept.
