Alice's POV
I ran as fast as I could to get to my team in the trees.
When I finally arrived it was like a case of déjà vu. Everyone was beaten. Bruce was in the literal wall somehow. Nat was locked up in a load of rocks sticking out of the ground and everyone else was on the floor. Wanda was holding him back while also blasting the stone on visions head.
'Thanos!' I shouted running up to beside Wanda and using my wind to hold him back too
'Alice! Stop this!' He roared
'This is insane! Look at what you've caused! Please stop. I'm begging you!'
He did nothing but laugh but it was cut off by all three of us getting pushed back from the stone being destroyed.
Wanda cried into the floor whereas I hit my head off a tree.
Thanos walked over to Wanda and said something to her while petting her head.
I seen him going back to vision and immediately I jumped up and stood in front of his dead body.
'You've lost! The stones destroyed. Leave!'
He held his gauntlet and I noticed the green stone. The time stone. My dad...
Before I could say anything the reality stone lit up but nothing happened.
He looked at it and hit the gauntlet twice then it lit up again and nothing happened
'What?' He said looking at it
'What is it?!'
'The reality stone doesn't work on you?' He said eyeing me weirdly
I smiled 'maybe because I'm combined with it' then changing the surroundings around us to go all blue and cold with buildings destroyed and no sign of any living being.
'Is this the world you want! This is what it will become!'
He smirked 'I have so many new experiments to try on you'
'You'll never get the chance again' I then then changing the scenery back to normal and throwing a dagger at him and it landed directly in the space between the gauntlet and his armour.
He reached out for me and grabbed me by my hair and threw me out of the way.
I landed beside Bruce who was in the wall.
Thanos used the time stone and vision was brought back to life.
'NOOO!' Wanda screamed getting up but was thrown away too
He picked vision up the same way he pick up Pietro and then dug his fat fingers into his head and pulled out the mind stone.
'No...' I whispered trying to get up as his put the final stone in his gauntlet
He yelled out in pain as the stone took it place. But as soon as he was okay Thor flew in and dug his axe in his chest, pushing thanos up against a rock.
'I told you, you'd pay for that' he said digging the axe in deeper and deeper and each time thanos screamed out in pain.
I got up and walked over and looked at him. On his death bed.
'It ends here thanos' I said then allowing Thor to go deeper
He looked at me then back at Thor 'you... you should've went for the head!' He slurred raising his hand and clicking his fingers.
A white light over came the whole battle field but within a second it was gone.
'What was that?' I said
'What did you do!' Thor shouted at thanos
Thanos did nothing but look around
'What did you do!' He roared again but thanos used the space stone and disappeared
At this stage everyone was up on their feet again.
'What just happened?'
'Where is he!' Steve shouted running to us
Thor and I looked at one another and then back to to steve.
'Thor, where'd he go?' He asked again
'Steve?' Bucky said from behind him
We looked at him and then he fell to the floor as a pile of dust
'Oh my god! Bucky!' I shouted running to the dust
'What's happening?!' Steve shouted
'Loki!' Thor shouted and took off
'Wait no. No no no. Steve what's happening!' I shouted looking around and seeing loads of people turn to dust
'I... I don't know'
'Loki' I whispered 'shit! Loki!' I screamed and took off to the battle field.
I was running through and loads of the warriors there turning to dust right in front of my eyes. I was panicking. Searching for him. Then I seen it. The sight I dreaded.
Thor on his knees and his hand on top of a pile of dust, accompanied by Loki's two long daggers on top of the dust.
'No. No no no no' I said running to Thor
'Thor tell me it's not him!' I cried
He couldn't even look at me but I heard him sniffle 'I've lost everyone now'
'No' I cried falling to my knees facing Thor 'he can't be gone. He just can't'
'I thought he would be fine. I was with him. We were making our way back to you. He said we were going to go back to Asgard tonight. The three of us and then he was gone'
I couldn't say anything I just cried. I cried hard ugly snotty tears.
'Did he give you the ring' Thor said finally looking at me
'Yeah. Yeah he did.' I said keeping my eye on his daggers
'He's had it for ages you know' he laughed 'the first night we stayed in the Valkyries old land he snuck up to the castle and got it... along with some decent food for the two of us' he said making me laugh too
'Did he ever tell you of what happened on the third day there?' He asked me and I shook my head
'We were walking to the cave and he tripped on a rock and tried to balance himself so he wouldn't fall but landed on brynhild, the leader of the Valkyrie, and she punched him square on the jaw and when he got up he had tears in his eyes' he stopped, laughing really hard 'but he whispered to me that he refused to cry at the hands of a women's punch and that night when we were in bed he cried for like 15 minutes straight and it made me think of when we were children all over again'
'He never told me' I giggled
We sat in silence for a minute.
'Thor' I said
'Yes?'
'There's two daggers. We can take one each' I said then magicked up two golden engraved box's with emerald details. I picked up the one closest to me by the blade. Careful to not touch the handle since it was the last thing he ever touched, with his finger prints still intact. I put it in the inside of the box that was coated in soft red fabric.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned and looked seeing Alissa 'come on' she said to the two of us 'I was told to come get you both. We're going back to the compound.' She spoke softly
Thor and I both stood and held out boxes close to our chest. Our hearts.
*back at the compound*
The ride over was silent. No one talked. We lost. And that's that. I sat beside Alissa and Thor, resting my head on Thor's shoulder holding both his and Alissas hands.
When we got back to the compound I didn't know where to go. I didn't actually have a room. I always stayed in Loki's room. It was our room.
Like a magnet I felt myself being pulled towards it. I walked in, took my suit off and jumped in bed sitting the box with his dagger in it on his side of the bed and cried. I cried so much the whole night from looking at the box or looking at my engagement ring. I eventually cried myself to sleep.
Thor's POV
It's been two days since the snap. Alice only leaves her bedroom to get dinner and brings it to her room to eat it. It's understandable but i wish she would come out. At the end of the day, married to Loki or not, she's still a sister to me. She's all I've got left.
'Alissa' I whispered popping my head in her room
'Thor it's 2 in the morning, I told you I wasn't doing it past 11' she sighed
Yeah. Alissa and I have a sort of secret thing that's been going on since she got here. And maybe that night of the garden party too but we won't get into the details.
'No no it's not that' I said coming in and closing the door
'Then what' she said sitting up and turning on the lamp that was on her bedside table
'Has Alice spoke with you?' I said walking over and sitting on my side of the bed
'Barley. I got her to shower today but it just felt like she was a robot or something'
'What did she say?'
'About Loki, she can't say his name and she refuses to hear his name. She spoke about Tony, she worried sick incase he's gone too and then she said peppers coming back tomorrow since it's the only flight she could get'
I sighed sinking into the bed more
'She'll come round. She's strong' she said looking at me
'She's all the family I have left'
Alissa sighed and sank in the bed with me.
