A/N: hey everyone, here's more fluff for you! Before we get into the chapter tho, here's some important music knowledge y'all must to know to fully understand this chapter:
Soprano- is the highest of the four voice parts in an SATB (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) choir. Usually sings melody.
Alto- is the second highest voice range in the SATB choir. Usually sings counter-melody.
Tenor- is the highest guys' part. Sings harmony.
Bass- is the lowest guys' part. Also signs harmony.

Anakin Skywalker lay in bed, staring at the ceiling when suddenly, a quiet sniff was heard from the other side of the room, where the twins slept.
As much as he adored his children, he despised being sleep-deprived. It was as if Luke and Leia Skywalker had sworn an oath to keep their parents and Auntie 'Soka awake throughout the night.
Another sniff, louder this time.
Anakin couldn't lie there any longer. His paternal instinct cried out, urging him to comfort his son and daughter.
With a profound sigh, he reluctantly left the comfort of he and Padmé's shared bed and crept towards the sound— namely, Luke and Leia. Careful not to wake neither Ahsoka nor his wife, Skywalker picked up the fussy infants, cradling them in his strong, comforting arms.
Much to Anakin's chagrin, the twins' wails didn't dissipate. If anything, they cried even louder than before.
What do I do? he wondered, panicking. Children had never been his forte, but being on the front lines and fighting alongside the 501st was. You could say he was a "do first, think second" type person.
So, he decided to do just that. Skywalker went along with the first idea that came to mind: singing a lullaby.
Guide me, he whispered to the Force before humming a sweet, tender melody to his darling children.
"Dear Luke and Leia, what to say to you?"
The sound of the piano accompaniment fluttered across his mind.
"You have my eyes, you have your mother's charm. When you came into the world, you cried, and it broke my heart."
Anakin was much too busy to notice Padmé sit up and observe him bonding with their kids, an affectionate smile spreading across her face.
"I'm dedicating every day to you. Domestic life was never quite my style; when you smile... you knock me out, I fall apart, and I thought I was so smart."
A new voice joined the fray. Padmé's. "You will come of age with our Republic," she whispered, her voice beautifully capturing the soprano line, harmonizing Anakin's counter-melody perfectly. "We'll bleed and fight for you, we'll make it right for you."
"If we lay a strong enough foundation, we'll pass it onto you, we'll give the world to you, and you'll blow us all away. Someday,"
"Someday..."
"Yeah, you'll blow us all away."
"Someday, someday..."
Padmé took over once more, an adoring gaze directed at Luke.
"Oh, Luke, when you smile, I am undone... my son. Look at my son! Pride is not the word I'm looking for. There is so much more inside me now."
Anakin smiled, continuing the improvised lullaby.
"Oh, Leia, you outshine the morning sun. My sun. When you smile, I fall apart, and I thought I was so smart. My father wasn't around,"
"My parents weren't around, we swear that we'll be around for you."
"I'll do whatever it takes, I'll make a million mistakes, to keep the world safe and sound for you." Ahsoka stood in the doorway, beaming at the sight before her as she added her voice, her harmony, to the small choir.
"You will come of age with our Republic,"
"We'll bleed and fight for you, we'll make it right for you."

"Someday..."

The twins were sound asleep, comforted in their father's arms and surrounded by family. All three Skywalkers grinned at one another. They'd made it. Their first achievement as a small, happy, but complete family.
