I am once again sorry for the angst... this chapter will be mostly fluff to make up for it, with some mild angst thrown in at the end for the next chapter. Please forgive me.🖤🖤

Kageyama sat there for a moment and looked at Hinata laying there. He reached over and gently pushed some of his hair from his face, feeling how cold he felt as his fingers grazed his forehead. He felt a lone tear make its way from the corner of his eye, unable to hold it back any longer.
He stood up to crawl into the bed next to him. He put his hand down onto the bed to steady himself, only to remind himself that he was covered in Hinata's uncle's blood as he looked down and saw his hand that still had traces of blood on it.
He looked around the room for a minute before luckily spotting a small bathroom in the corner of the room. He walked over to it and flipped the light on as he went inside. It was small with a tiny shower that was basically just a shower head attached to the wall with a curtain that separated it from the sink and toilet.
He turned it on and took his clothes off, realizing that he probably had some of Hinata's uncle's scent on him and figuring that the last thing Hinata would want to smell if he woke up would be that.
He stood under the cold water that made his skin prickle as it hit him. He could only stand the coldness for a few minutes, using his hands to clean himself as best he could.
He turned the water off and air-dried for a few minutes since there were no towels in there. He put his boxers on and left his blood-stained shirt and jeans on the floor.
He walked back to the hospital bed and hesitantly crawled under the blanket beside Hinata, pulling him into his arms and against his chest, being careful not to mess up. Any of the medical equipment.
He felt another tear trickle down his cheek, both from fear in relief.
"Love you, please wake up, " He whispered as he kissed the top of his head and tried to release some calming pheromones. He felt his tired body sink into the bed as he found comfort burying his head into Hinata's hair and allowing his to eyes shut.

Kageyama could feel the crunch of Bones from under his fist. He could hear people screaming, but he couldn't make out what they were saying. The scent of blood mixed with the scent of Fear pheromones and a very light hint of Oranges filled his nose and made him want to stop, but he couldn't.
The scent of Anise mixed with a strong whiskey smell fueled this hate-filled rage as he threw another punch, no longer able to see the face of the person he had been hitting.
The sound of the heart monitor going off and making an alarm sound woke Kageyama from the nightmare of the events that had taken place. His eyes opened and focused on a nurse that was tapping on a button on the machine that was going off.
"He's fine, don't worry, I accidentally set the machine off," the nurse said as she noticed that Kageyama had woken up. "He's actually a lot more stable than he was when they brought him in. I'm Kiko, his nurse."
"Is he okay, " were the only words Kageyama was able to get out.
The nurse let out a soft laugh.
"I said he was fine. He's really lucky that they brought him up here to the trauma unit and not to the Omega specialty floor. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to be in here with him."
Kageyama carefully sat up, making sure he didn't pull any of the wires that were still attached to Hinata. The nurse noticed the confusion on his face.
"You went into a rage at the zoo... You nearly killed the alpha that you attacked... So they brought him here so you'd still be able to be with him."
Kageyama stared at her, more confused than before.
"Almost killed?" the question was quiet and almost inaudible.
"No one told you?" the nurse questioned.
Kageyama shook his head as a sense of dread washed over him.
"He's in a coma... From what I heard anyway. You were incoherent when the police and medics arrived. They had to sedate you... If they hadn't, you would have probably killed him, and instead of laying here, you'd be in a jail cell, and Hinata would be alone. Since they don't allow "dangerous." alpha's on the omega floor, they brought him here since we had extra rooms available, " the nurse explained and watched as Kageyama's facial expression turned to one of absolute dread.
"Don't worry about that too much... Just worry about him for now, okay?" she said and finished doing what she had been doing with the machine. "I need to take some more blood real fast... You can stay in your comfortable or wait in the hall or waiting area."
"I'll stay, " Kageyama said somewhat hesitantly.
The nurse nodded.
"Okay, I need you to get off the bed, though, so that I can get him into a better position."
Kageyama didn't like the thought of this; however, he felt like he had no choice. He got up and took a few steps away from the bed. He glanced around the room, which was still dim, with the only light still being the dimmed light from over the bed.
That quickly changed though, as the nurse flipped the switch that turned on the bright fluorescent lights that burned Kageyama's eyes as they adjusted.
He watched as the nurse rolled Hinata from his side to his back and tied a band around the top of his arm. She took a needle that had a tube attached with vile and stuck it into Hinata's arm right where the bend was.
Kageyama had to stop himself from flinching as he watched and had his hands balled into a fist, stabbing his nails into his palm to stop himself from stopping her. He felt his stomach churn as he watched the crimson color of Hinata's blood fill the vile.
He turned around to face away from it, somewhat embarrassed that it had made him feel like that.
"Don't worry; I've seen Alpha's, Omega's, and Beta's all pass out or throw up from watching. Blood isn't everyone's favorite thing to see, especially when it's being taken for from someone you care about," she said, trying to ease Kageyama's embarrassment, as she finished and pulled the needle from Hinata's arm.
Kageyama stared in the direction of a corner of the room, trying to ignore what he had seen. That was when he spotted the backpack that they had gotten from the stand at the Zoo. In all the chaos he had almost forgotten them.
"Do you want me to bring you anything?" The nurse asked as she picked up the tray with the supplies and vials of blood.
Kageyama shook his head, his eyes, and thoughts and only fixated on the backpack in the corner.
The nurse turned the lights off once again, leaving Kageyama in the dim lighting.
"Just press that button if you need me, " she said and headed out of the room.
Kageyama stood there in silence for a few moments before walking over to the backpack and opening it. He took out the panther and the tiger and looked at them for a moment before turning to the bed and walking back over to it.
He looked at Hinata for a moment and realized that Hinata didn't have the bear he had given hom for Christmas with his scent. For a moment, a strange sense of guilt washed over him. Maybe because Hinata had developed a habit of cuddling with it when he'd wake up as he'd scroll through his phone.
He looked at the Panther for a moment, contemplating whether to scent it or not; just in case Hinata woke up, he could have something soft.
He felt a bit foolish as he hugged the panther and tiger close to his chest for a moment and released some of his scent.
After scenting them, he walked closer to the bed and placed them above Hinata's head. Then he crawled back into the bed next to him, careful of the wires and IV.
He pulled Hinata into his arms against him, and close to is chest. He rested his head atop his and buried his face into his hair. He noticed he could smell the scent of Oranges and Vanilla. With The lingering scent of fear pheromones mixed in.
"Tobio?"
Hinata's voice was faint and quiet. Kageyama felt a clench in his chest at the sound of his voice.
"What happened? Where are we?" Hinata asked and dug his head into Kageyama's chest?
"Your uncle showed up... We're in the hospital." Kageyama replied.
He felt Hinata get silent and tense up.
"It's okay, " He said quietly.
Suddenly they heard the door to the room open. Kageyama turned his head to see Tsuki and Yamaguchi standing in the doorway.
"Suga and Daichi sent us to come to give you these, " Yamaguchi said as he and Tsuki Got closer to the bed.
Kageyama sat up, and Yamaguchi handed him a bag that had some clothes in it.
"Kuroo said you were covered in blood."
"You almost killed someone, King, " Tsuki said with an unpleasant tone.
"Killed?" Hinata asked quietly.
"Don't worry about it, " Kageyama said, not wanting Hinata to get worked up.
"You should worry; Daichi and Suga are talking to the police right now, trying to convince them not to arrest you," Tsuki said.
"What?" Hinata's voice was filled with fear and panic as he tried to sit up, causing the alarm on the machine to go off.
Kageyama shot Tsuki a deadly glare before the nurse came in, interrupting the situation.
"You're awake, " she said a little in shock. She went to the machine and turned off the alarm. "I'm going to tell the doctor, she said, paying no mind to Yamaguchi and Tsuki as she quickly left the room.
Before anyone could say anything, Suga, Daichi, and a police officer appeared in the doorway.
"Tobio Kageyama, I'll need you to grab your things and come with me, " the officer said.
Kageyama was filled with fear and dread as he looked to Suga and Daichi, who both shook their heads as a sign not to be defiant.
He tried to stand up off the bed only to have Hinata pull him back down by the arm.
"No, " he said as tears streamed down his face.
Kageyama pulled him into a tight hug and kissed his forehead.
"I promise it will be okay, " he said quietly.
Suga made his way over to the bed and sat next to Hinata. He placed his hands on his shoulders, allowing Kageyama an opportunity to get up.
"Shhh, it's okay, " Suga said as Hinata let out a small cry of panic. "Daichi is going with him. He will be okay, alright?"
Hinata turned his head and buried it in Suga's shoulder as Kageyama Disappeared out of the room with Daichi and the officer.
