Everything went real quick. People started falling to the ground as they got shot from the top of the hall. Some made it outside. But still, people died one by one.
There were snipers up there. About five of them.
M: "What are you all standing here for?! Run already!" He commanded to the others as he took Yuuji's wrist quickly and so they ran behind the hall.
They found Gojo and the other teachers on the other side.
T: "That was his plan then?" Todo chuckled bitterly as they all realized Naoya's intentions.
Then they heard footsteps from another hall before them.
Naoya appeared before them now.
N: "Yo! It's been quite a while. Right, Maki, Mai and Megumi?" He grinned at them innocently.
G: "The hell do you need from us now?!" Gojo shouted from the other side.
N: "Nothing much... just got bored?" He scratched the back of his neck.
N: "And it was pretty smart to take those little brats with you after all." He looked down at Yuuji and Nobara now.
M: "Get the f*ck away from here." She the took her big weapon out which she hid before.
N: "I see. Still as cocky as ever! Mai didn't change as well." He glanced over to Mai who loaded a Kalashnikov now.
M: "Yuuji. Take Nobara with you upstairs. We'll try to join you soon. I promise to come after you. Got it?" He looked to Yuuji with a serious expression.
He could tell that Yuuji didn't want to leave. But Megumi wanted Yuuji and Nobara to be well after all.
M: "Go." He commanded.
Yuuji then ran off while taking Nobara's wrist.
N: "I can't run with heels, dumbass!" She hit Yuuji's shoulder while struggling to take her heels off.
N: "They shouldn't be so hasty...what a waste." He said as he looked up the stairs.
Megumi's eyes widened.
Some more gunshots were heard. It's not like that the whole hall was filled with the sound...but it was heard upstairs where Yuuji and Nobara were.
N: "Someone help! Yuuji got shot!" She screamed with an furious expression as she shot someone in front of her. Nobara ripped her dress and tried to stop the bleeding.
Megumi's ears started ringing. He only focused on Yuuji who was struggling to get up. Right before Megumi's very eyes.
M: "Todo! Please! Take them out here! I'll do anything after that! But please grant me this one request!" He pleaded as anger built up inside him.
T: "I got it! I'll see you!" Todo ran upstairs and carried Yuuji on his shoulder while running away with Nobara somewhere.
Megumi stood there. Blankly.
All he thought about was his injured boyfriend. And he doesn't know anything of his condition right now.
M: "We'll avenge him. Let's give it our best." Mai said, trying to comfort Megumi with that.
"Of course we will. I'll avenge you, Yuuji. So wait for me." Megumi thought. He could barely get a grip on his weapon. He saw how Maki and Mai started attacking Naoya. Meanwhile Gojo and the other teachers dealt with Noaya's people.
Megumi pressed his body against a wall and slided down. He knew that it wasn't the right thing to do. He could only think of Yuuji.
"God, please...Don't take him away from me as well." He prayed as he fiddled with his fingers.
He suddenly heard how Mai's Kalashnikov went down. Naoya chocked her.
M: "Get your fucking hands away from my sister." She said coldly while kicking Naoya away.
M: "I'm granding my own wish and kill you right here and now." Maki was about to stab him with her weapon.
Just then a needle got stuck on her neck and she passed out.
"Goddamn it!" Megumi thought as he tried pulling himself up again. He was by himself at this point.
Naoya approached him slowly as he took a blade out.
N: "My father took them away from you, you know? How sad that you can't avenge them now, right?" He gave Yuuji a disgusting smirk.
Megumi knew who he meant by "them" already.
"Asshole. Killed my parents and now dared to harm my man." Megumi thought and smirked a little.
M: "Don't worry...this will do after all." He said as he pressed a gun against Naoya's neck.
Naoya's eyes widened. Megumi pulled the trigger.
Blood was on his face now. Naoya's dead body was lying in front of Megumi. Blood started flowing out of Naoya. Megumi just looked at him in disgust and kicked his body aside. Megumi still knows how Naoya looked at him. He was shocked that he could pull something off like that. But that doesn't matter. He wants to see Yuuji now.
Mai looked at him in surprise.
M: "Good job, I guess." She tried standing up.
M: "Let me help you." He grabbed her arm before she could fall again.
Gojo finished on time again.
G: "I see, Megumi...let's go quickly!" He just glanced at Naoya before taking Maki's body and running upstairs.
They were at the rooftop. Two helicopters were waiting there.
T: "Megumi! Come here! You wanna see Yuuji right?!" Todo called out for him as he waved to Megumi. Yuuji's wound was treated by Todo.
Y: "Yo! Babe, I'm fine. And- oh my! Did you get hurt?!" Yuuji had a worried expression now as he saw the blood on Megumi's face.
"Is he seriously more worried about me than his own damn injury..." Megumi chuckled a little.
T: "Maki and Nobara are staying with you. See you then. We'll meet up in our school once we're heading out of here." He said while going out the helicopter
M: "Thanks." He said while smiling gently to Todo. He then went to sit next to Yuuji.
He just nodded then slammed the door shut.
Nanami was the one flying.
Y: "Hey, Megumi! Answer my question!" Yuuji pulled Megumi's face to him.
N: "Here. Wipe it with this." Nobara handed Megumi a piece of her dress as he wiped the blood off of his face.
Y: "Fushiguro!" Yuuji suddenly called him with his last name.
Megumi got goosebumps by that.
M: "I'm fine. You should be worrying about yourself! Idiot..." he punched Yuuji's chest lightly.
Y: "Hey. What's wrong?" He tried calming Megumi down.
"Is he seriously asking this now?" Megumi sighed.
M: "I was afraid to lose you! You get it already?!" Tears started flowing down his cheek now.
Y: "Babe...I'm fine. There's gonna be a ugly scar tho..." he pouted as he looked over to his arm.
Megumi hugged him and kissed Yuuji's neck all over.
Y: "I won't leave you. I promised you after all." He said as he patted Megumi's head.
Right. Megumi broke a promise of them. He killed a person.
Nobara sighed as she caressed Maki's cheeks.
N: "Everything's fine now. We're going to rest soon." She couldn't wait as well.
Megumi and Yuuji stayed like that. Hugging each other tightly.
M: "I love you so damn much." He mumbled against Yuuji's neck.
Y: "I love you too." He said as he gave Megumi's a kiss on the cheek then the lips.
"Mom...Dad...thanks for protecting someone who's dear to me. You can rest assured now." Megumi thought as he looked out the window. He's sure that his parents are happy for him too. That's what they wanted for him. He knows it.
He smiled a little while tightening the hug on Yuuji.
The flight was quiet and so the four of them rested a little.
