Shaking the water off your jacket, you entered the café. Tae, as usual, was behind the counter, practising different designs in the foam. Today's seemed to be a cute little bear. His signature boxy smile showed itself as he became satisfied with his creation and his head raised to meet you.

"Oh sorry Lisa I didn't notice you come in, I've been practising some coffee designs with the milk, look. Today I've perfected the bear!"

His childlike excitement was enough to dissolve your anxieties from the morning and you couldn't help but praise him.

"Aah very good Tae, maybe I could see if it tastes as good as it looks? I've had a bit of a rough morning so to speak"

You scratched the back of your neck and chuckled.

"Nice ink, Lisa"

Fuck. Shit. Bitch.

In the morning's chaos you forgot to cover the tattoo on your wrist. If the wrong person saw it you would be screwed.

Was Tae the wrong person? Surely not. But Jimin could be! Right, play it cool.

"Aah thanks it's nothing special, just something I got when I was younger. Stupid really, I wish I never had it done."

"Doesn't it mean anything to you? Why did you get it in the first place?"

Lie.

"No, no really it means nothing, just some stupid design I thought was cool at the time. You know, rebellious kid too much time on her hands and bam tattoo."

You laugh it off but Tae stares at your wrist with intent and nods.

"Well, I like it Lisa. It resembles a part of your past and I don't think you should run away from that, you know."

Oh the irony.

If only he knew that your 'nice ink' was the reason you were running in the first place.

"Thanks Tae, but I'm really not a fan of it, I'd appreciate it if we just kept this between the two of us and not tell, you know ... Jimin. I don't want to give him another thing about me to moan about.

"Yeah sure no problem, my lips are sealed. But you know Jimin has a thing for girls with tats right? He loves a, what did you call yourself? Oh yeah, 'rebellious kid'. So I'd uh, watch out if I were you."

Great.

The day went on with no sign of Jimin and you couldn't help but feel like you missed his presence. Perhaps it was because you wanted to compare his appearance to the man you saw earlier on the bike and confirm your suspicions, or perhaps it was something else. Either way, it was now 3pm, the café had quietened down after the lunch rush and you thought it was the perfect time to question Taehyung.

"So Taehyung, where's Jimin at today? I thought as the manager he was meant to be here all the time?"

Tae chuckled and looked up from his phone, he was creating a 'Bangtan Beans Bangers' playlists for when work got quite like it currently was.

"Ooooh, I didn't realise you took such a fancy to our Jimin-ssi?"

"Trust me, I haven't. Its just cause its raining today and he hasn't showed himself. Wouldn't want something bad to have happened to him, you know? He may be a pain in my ass but he's still my boss and the one who pays my cheques."

"Sure that's why"

Taehyung smirked to himself and started drumming his finger on the counter again, a habit of his you've noticed. The delicate clang of his silver ring tapped perfectly in time to the faint music that was playing through his phone.

Tae sighed, "Well you don't need to worry about Jimin, trust me. Anyways, he's off running some  errands today and will be back tomorrow."

Time to push.

"What kind of errands?"

Tae licked his lips and cleared his throat, running a hand through his jet black hair.

"Business errands, Lisa. He didn't go in to details."

He's lying.

"Does he do this often? Leave to run business errands without a warning?"

"No. He doesn't. He told me about it anyway so I don't know why you're acting like it's a big deal."

You could tell that your questioning was causing Taehyung to near the end of his tether but you hadn't even got to any of the juicy questions you wanted to ask him yet.

Maybe it's not safe, maybe I'll let on more than I want. If I have misjudged Tae this could end badly. It could give me away.

After all you were alone in the café with Tae and his physique and stature would ensure a struggle and possible defeat in hand to hand combat. The streets were quiet too. No one had walked passed the windows in over 15 minutes. If he was one of them and wanted to do something he would have done it by now but he hadn't. Why?

Your eyes wondered to where you kept your bag. It was hanging up out back through the double doors in the storage room. Inside was your favourite handgun, some canisters, a gas mask and some tape. Although it was unlikely they would come for you at work it was still a possibility, and you felt more comfortable knowing you had some supplies nearby if you needed them. Was this going to be one of those times? You decided to take your chances and question him further.

"This may sound a bit weird Taehyung but something strange happened this morning. I was getting ready to come to work and there were some loud noises coming from my neighbours apartment. Hoseok, his name is. Anyway the commotion ended and I opened my blind to check the weather before I left the house and there was a man outside my apartment block. I can't be sure because of the rain but I swear it was Jimin. Do you know if he knows Hobi? "

Tae clenched his jaw and paused the music. The silence that enveloped the two of you was suffocating. Perhaps this wasn't the right time to question Tae. Maybe his whole friendly persona was some kind of ruse. The veins on his forearm were prominent as he was gripping the counter in what seemed like an attempt to restrain himself.

"As a matter of fact -"

Before Tae could finish his response, the bell on the front door rang letting you know a customer had entered the café. You turned to greet them, faking a smile.

"Hi, my name's Lisa. Welcome to Bangtan Beans how can I -"

The shock of who you saw in front of you prevented you from finishing your greeting. The man in the doorway was tall and broad, all in black, with purple hair.

It was the man from your apartment block. You knew it was.

Strike 3. This is too much.

Composing yourself, you went to finish your greeting but Taehyung got in before you.

"Jin-Hyung, I wasn't expecting to see you until later, is everything alright."

Jin's face screamed that it was not alright. The bags under his eyes were some of the biggest you had ever seen, bigger than your own. You hadn't noticed it before but Jin's right hand was wrapped in bandages. Whatever he did to it must have been recent and painful as red blood polluted the top layer of bandage like spilled ink. The whole time he was in the café he hadn't made eye contact with you once, his panicked glare focused on Taehyung.

"Tae- ssi I need you to take the rest of the day off, there's been some ... developments."

Tae seemed to read between his hyung's words perfectly and gave a quick nod. Any tension that was evident between the two of you previously had dispelled, it was clear Taehyung had other things to worry about. He looked you in the eyes with a newfound serenity,

"Lisa, I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to go. You'll be alright to close up on your own right? Don't worry about what Jimin will say, I'll tell him what happened. Close early if you want, we won't get many more customers."

And with that, Taehyung followed Jin towards the front door in which he entered. Before he left, he turned to you and said,

"I owe you one Lisa, big time, and I never forget to repay my debts."

Hmm that could come in handy.

Just like that you were all alone in the café. Immediately you locked the front door, you didn't want Jin, Jimin or heck even Tae at this point strolling back in to take you. If your intuition was right, it was Jimin and Jin at Hobi's this morning and going by Tae's reaction he defiantly knows more than he's letting on about the whole thing. You still don't know what Jimin was up to today but you'd bet money it was something to do with Jin's busted hand. It wouldn't surprise you if Namjoon, Yoongi and Jungkook were somehow involved as well, they all seemed pretty close.

Does that mean they all know my name?

Your thoughts raced back to the mornings events, and the one word in particular that stood out to you. Y/N.

If they all knew who you really were, and by your calculations they did, you had no choice. You were no longer safe. You had to leave. Fast.

Without giving it a second thought, you grabbed your bag from the store room, opened it and taped your hand gun under the counter. No one would know it was there apart from you and you thought that you may need it tomorrow when you resign and take off. Again.
