A sigh escapes my lips as I look at the distance, sipping on the cold soda we were able to fix earlier. It's yet another one of these nostalgic days. Nostalgic days are terrible. That's when I mostly feel out of place, feeling the fakeness in all of the smiles the four – well, three, Jet barely demonstrates any emotion, after all – show me and how much I'm bothering them by staying here, eating their food, using the water and not doing anything in return.

"Something wrong?" Poison asks as his knuckles brush against my jaw affectionately, but I continue looking at the ground and taking small sips through the straw as shaking my head. "We'll find your friends soon," he says softly and presses a kiss to my cheek.

Sometimes it hurts thinking about how Poison is just Poison. He never stays with someone for too long, so this isn't going to continue after I follow my own way. I like pretending they really like me and are up for a serious relationship with me, but that's not even the goddamn focus – I've got friends to find.

"Okay, so..." Poison trails off, swinging his legs back and forth – both of us took seat on the edge of the roof of the diner to watch the sunset. "Do you want to come with us to the market down Zone 5 tomorrow? We need to fix a few things. It's okay if you don't, I can stay here with you." He smiles cutely as coming into my sight, his eyes gaining a nice color as the sunlight falls over them just right.

"No, it's fine." I try to smile enough so he won't get worried, leaning in to peck his lips. "Not like staying in the diner the whole time has been fun either."

"I was hoping you'd accept! We can do some fun things," he hums as brushing his nose against mine lightly.

Later, we head back inside to eat and it doesn't take long until we're in our rooms already. Poison sleeps with his back against my chest, finding comfort with my arms wrapped tightly around him and his hands clutching onto mine.

My few attempts of falling asleep go in vain, the most successful of them being when I fall asleep for about twenty minutes and wake up again, sighing as looking at the clock hanging on the wall, barely visible in the darkness. Poison seems sound asleep, as he should, otherwise I would feel guilty for him staying up just because of me. The silence that hovers in the room has the thoughts from earlier flooding my head once again.

Maybe it would be better if I went looking for my friends by myself and stopped pestering the Fabulous Four.

As slowly and carefully as possible, I let go of Poison to stand up from the bed. Relief washes over me at seeing he continues there, unchanging. I walk over to the window and internally thank Poison for liking to sleep with the window open – as he says, so we're able to cuddle close under the covers –, still, it's not easy to jump through it and I hit my elbow with force against it. A loud noise echoes through the room in result of the loose metal structure and the glass shaking. I hiss at the pain not just of the window sill digging right under my ribs but also at the new pain on my arm.

"...(K/n)?" Poison says barely coherently, followed by the sound of shuffling and I glance back to see him turning over on the bed just to find the empty space I once occupied. He groans before his eyes finally open and widen at the sight of me halfway through the window. "(K/n)!"

"O-Oh, I'm—"

"What in the hell are you doing?" he cuts me off, furrowing his eyebrows as quickly throwing the covers aside and rushing to pull me into the room yet again.

"I-I'm sorry, I just want to go after my friends and stop bothering you guys, I—" I interrupt myself, with a shrug, stumbling back to my feet. The way Poison looks at me makes me feel guilty, but I barely knew what I was doing, with these thoughts becoming so loud and persistent. My mouth opens and closes a few times as I try to find another explanation, but nothing ever comes.

A sigh escapes Poison's nose as he clearly tries to keep calm whilst pulling me to sit down on the bed and kneels down in front of me. The moonlight illuminates his face, making his red hair stand out against the pale skin and lighting his hazel eyes just right.

"Okay, now, let's take this slowly," he says, not clear whether he's talking to me or not. His hands are flat against my knees, tracing the skin lightly for a few seconds. "(K/n), I thought you didn't want to leave. Were you lying to us?" He furrows his eyebrows, voice heavy with a sadness he tries to hide. "Why were you trying to run away?"

My heart becomes tight in my chest and I wish I had never gotten up from the bed in first place, that these fucking thoughts never happened because yes, I do miss my friends, but it's not like running away in the middle of the night in boxers and a shirt and nothing more will help. Wait, damn it, I still haven't answered Poison. "I didn't mean it. I'm just so worried about my friends, I didn't even..." I trail off, hoping he's satisfied with it.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He takes my hands in his, thumbs rubbing circles into my palms in a weirdly soothing motion.

As much as I do want to talk to him, all I'm able to do is to shake my head.

"Okay..." Poison breathes, looking around before he's standing up. I don't really understand what he's doing until the soft sound of white noise fills the room, eventually subsiding as music comes up instead, a rather comforting song. A sigh escapes Poison's lips as he fidgets with the radio for a bit longer then finally comes to my side. "C'mon, let's try to get back to sleep, huh?" He presses a kiss to my cheek, taking my hand in his and I can't help but to follow him back to under the covers.

I quietly adjust the sheets around us and cuddle up to Poison, feeling a bit better though I'm afraid I'll get up and do something like that again even if I do not want to.

"It'll be okay, alright?" Poison's soft voice grounds me to reality. I sigh in the comfort of his arms, humming almost inaudibly whilst making myself comfortable next to him, loving the feeling of his fingers running through my hair.

The night isn't one of the best, but every time I wake up, the soft music still playing in the background along with Party's comforting touch is enough to have me calming down and asleep again. The sound of commotion outside is the first thing I notice when coming back to reality, groaning softly as turning over on the bed – what makes me notice I'm the only one here, probably alone in the room.

"Kobra, you idiot!" The faint voice comes from the outside and makes me chuckle a bit into the pillow.

It takes me a good time to actually get up, but I quickly head over to the window when it finally happens. Turns out Ghoul is the one who's been screaming around along with Party, though the latter only does it occasionally, both of them plus Kobra playing something I can't really identify as they throw a ball around. Jet just stands aside under the shadow, arms folded over his chest.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty!" Party calls, grinning.

I can't help but to chuckle, my cheeks heating up a bit. Sucking in a breath, I'm about to reply when I interrupt myself with a gasp at the sight of the ball colliding with the side of Poison's face and sending him to the ground with a scream.

"Oh, my Destroya!" Ghoul exclaims, hands on his head. "Kobra, you know you shouldn't kick the ball that hard! What if it explodes? Then you'll need to fix a new one!"

Jet and I quietly snort at Ghoul and how Kobra furrows his eyebrows in obvious worry towards the ball, nodding quietly. I shake my head to myself as moving to leave the room and heading over to Party, crouching down next to him; I carefully pull his hand away from his face and brush his hair out of the way, flinching at the sight – his face is almost as red as his hair.

"Damn, cupcake, that really ruined you, huh?" I help him up as he makes grabby hands towards me.

Poison just stands against me for a moment, breathing heavily as his arms are wrapped rather loosely around me. "Y'know, I'd rather it be you, but not so lucky," he groans – I roll my eyes, slapping his arm playfully, what earns myself a chuckle from him.

"Want me to help with your face?" I ask, dropping my hand to his hip as I pull away lightly to take a look at his face. It's no surprise that he pouts, furrowing his eyebrows as nodding. "Heh, c'mon." I hum sternly with a small smile and peck his lips, proceeding to pull him to our room again whilst Kobra and Ghoul start playing again. Poison sits on the bed and I press a kiss to his head. "'M going to the bathroom and I'll be back in a bit, huh?"

A nod comes from Party in response and I make sure to be fast, soon coming back to the room with a wet cloth and some lotion the guys have for situations like that. His hand is pulling me to sit on his lap before I can even decide what I'm going to do, but I don't object, blushing lightly as I adjust my legs by each side of his lap to finally let myself down.

"Does it look too bad?" Poison asks as turning his head to the side a little, arms around my waist.

"Kind of, but it'll heal up just fine," I say softly and bring the cloth to his face – he tenses up at first, but slowly relaxes, leaning into the cold sensation. Enough time having passed, I start to carefully rub it against the skin to clean away the sand that stuck to his face, making him flinch lightly. "Sorry," I mutter, folding the cloth then pressing it to his face once more to finally discard it; I smile as he sighs in relief. "Not to mention that you're kinda dramatic, hm?" The hit was bad, of course, I'm not invalidating it at all, but did he need to look at me with such eyes as pouting? I'm not complaining, tho.

"It hurts," he says with a fake sniffle. "It'll just get better with kissies."

"I prefer to give it kissies when it's a bit better, okay?" I smile and press a kiss to the tip of his nose then proceed to get the lotion. He noticeably relaxes under my touch as I spread it over his cheek.

"I still want the kissies." He hums sulkily.

"Like if I'd be able to resist to that adorable face of yours." My words make him chuckle softly.

"Are you feeling better?" he asks suddenly, after a silent pause, voice quiet.

A quiet sigh goes past my lips as I clean my hand with the cloth and shrug. "I guess," I mutter, somehow trying to get an answer without thinking too much about it.

Party notices my hesitance and nods; a kiss is pressed to my neck. "Let me know if you need something, hm?" He buries his face in my shoulder, arms tight around my waist in a weirdly comforting manner. I hope I don't get too attached.
