Bakugo's pov.

Katsuki Bakugo was late, class might have not started yet but by his own standards, he was late. The bitter blond was walking down the school corridors, glancing at every clock he passed while silently cursing himself for pressing the snooze button too many times.

It wasn't like him. He would normally be up and about after just hearing the first few beebs of his alarm. But tonight he wasn't even sure if he fell asleep or not. He had been staring at the wall, then the ceiling, his bedside table, then back att the wall. Closing his eyes had not worked either, his eyelids just shot open like they were made out of spring.

Bakugo sighed as he finally saw his classroom, the door being wide open with loud shatter emerging from it. Inside he saw his friends chatting vividly, only stopping when they noticed his presence. One of them waved him over, greeting him as he sat down on his seat.

"Hay man, what took you so long?," the resent conversation now seemingly put on hold. "I was starting to think you wouldn't show up at all."

"Yeah, you normally get here before we do," the other extra chimed in. "Everything alright?"

"I just slept in," Bakugo scoffed, turning his glare at them. "You idiots got a problem with that?"

"Wha- No, no of course not." The two of them put their hands up in surrender, not wanting to step on the blonds nerves today.

"Tch." Bakugo turned back, silently listening in on the conversation his friends quickly got back to. They were talking about yesterday's villain attack. Apparently the guy was cough but not without causing some serius damage and taking some hostages. It was rare nowadays that people were advised to stay indoors because of an attack, so it wasn't a surprise that his classmates were still talking about it.

As the bell rang all students settled down, keeping their conversations to hushed whispers. Bakugo sighed before leaning back in his chair, stuffing his hands deep into his pockets.
'Another boring day with boring classes.'

Names were thrown out and responded to as the teacher took attendance of all his students. It didn't take long until Katsuki's own name was brought up, to which he simply gave a tierd "Yeah." God he wished this would go faster so he could start working already. Not that he believed his concentration would make an appearance today, he was still a bit groggy.

"Izuku," the teacher called out, his voice faltering as he looked up from his papers. "Midoriya.."

"Where's Midoriya? Has anyone seen him today?"
Bakugo looked up, his head turning towards the greenette's usual seat, finding it empty. For a moment he felt as if his stomach had dropped, an odd feeling setteling down inside of him.

"No one?," the teacher sighed, scribbling something on a separate note. "If he doesn't show up soon I'll have to call.." When his muttering was over he proceeded to call out the names of the last few students on the list.

"Hey Bakugo," one of his friends leaned over, keeping his voice down. "Didn't you say you had a talk with Midoriya yesterday?"

"Yeah man, what the hell did you do to him?" Katsuki's other companion said from the seat behind them, a grin evident on his voice.

"He's probably just bawling his eyes out at home." The both of them snickered, forgetting to be quiet until they each got a stern look from their teacher.

"Yeah," Bakugo nodded slowly, still keeping is eyes on the empty chair. "Probably.."

The bell finally rang for the last time that day, leaving the classroom full of noise. Chairs being moved, students filling the air with chatter and books getting shoved into bags as quick as possible. Normally Bakugo would be one of the meny amplifiers to these sounds but for once he just sat there, not making any moves to get up.

Once most of the kids had left, his two friends turned to him, asking if he wanted to go to the mall with them. "As if," said Bakugo, rolling his eyes. "I've got better shit to do so don't waste your breath."

"Alright man, just asking." Giving him a final glance, the two extras walked out, not saying a single word to each other.

Bakugo watched as the door slowly closed after them, leaving him alone in the silent classroom. "Morons.." The blond muttered as he got up from his seat, swinging his bag over his shoulder in the process.

Just as he took a step towards the door he stopped, hesitated, then turned around. His scarlet orbs landed on the windows at the other end, not seeing anything from where he was standing.
After a moment, Bakugo walked up to them, scanning the school grounds from left to right.

Only a group of older kids there, steadily making their way towards the entrance while having a vivid conversation. Soon they left as well, leaving the schoolyard completely empty.

Katsuki couldn't help but stare at the entryway, barely blinking as another minute passed by.

Nothing.

With a huff, Bakugo turned around, leaving the classroom in hurried steps. He had already wasted enough of his time.

Outside the air was cool, the only heat coming from a few strands of sunshine trying to break free from the clouded sky. Bakugo readjusted his bag as he made his way home, glancing from left to right while exiting the school grounds.

Deku's seat had remained empty that day, no one knowing nor caring where the freckled boy was. The only reason anyone remembered he wasn't there was when their teacher asked the class for the second time that day if somebody had heard from him. He had mentioned not being able to contact Deku's mother, the call only going to voice mail.

Bakugo didn't know why but that instantly made him think of yesterday, the whole week even. These past few days he couldn't help but notice how the greenette stayed behind after school, staring out the windows while everyone else made their way home. The damn nerd was jumpier, more anxious looking than usual.

At first Bakugo thought his tormenting had finally gotten to him but when Deku had a sudden panik attack in the cafeteria he knew that wasn't it. The blond had a faint memory of something like this happening before, ages ago when they still lived in the same neighborhood. His mom had told him that Hisashi Midoriya, Deku's dad, had returned to Japan to visit his son.

At the time Katsuki didn't think much of it, not really caring either as the two of them barley hung out anymore. That was until he saw the state of the boy. He looked stressed, pale even. Always looking around himself and trying to stay outdoors until dark. Bakugo even found him hyperventilating behind a tree once, tears flowing down his cheeks as he gasped for air.

'He's reluctant to go home..' Bakugo frowned at the thought, shoving his hands deeper into his pockets. 'It's not because of me so could that mean his dad is back again?'

But then there was that sketchy person he saw after school, just managing to slink out of view before bolting into the same direction as Deku.

He would never admit it but for a moment he had honestly considered going after his younger classmate himself. But when standing on the pavement outside of their school the blond finally came to his senses, casting one last glance behind him before walking in the opposite direction.

Deku got that nickname for a fucking reason, he's a small, good for nothing, hopeless idiot who doesn't even deserve to be called an extra. Nothing more than a disgusting bug.

Bakugo grit his teeth, his fists shut tight in his pockets. 'So why does it bother me so much?'

Putting his keys back into his jacket, Bakugo walked through the front door. His nose instantly got a whiff of the delicious home cooked meal from the kitchen, the smell indicating it was one of his favorites.

'so as long as dad doesn't enter the kichen I'll at least have an enjoyable meal today.' Bakugo mused, locking the door from the inside.

"Katsuki?! Is that you?!" His mother yelled from the dining room. Without awnsering, the boy in question bent over to untie his shoes, grunting when one of the knots wouldn't budge.

"KATSUKI?!"

"I'M HOME YOU DAMN HAG," The blond snapped. "STOP YELLING AT ME." With a harsh pull that almost broke the laces in his hands, he was finally free. His mother continued to yell at him about manners and language but he didn't listen, too tired to pay her any attention.

Walking into the living room he noticed the TV being on, broadcasting the local news. It only took a second or two before Bakugo had lost his interest in the middle-aged reporter, talking about politiks and whatnot.

He propped his bag on the coffee table and started digging through it. Taking out a notebook and glancing at the handwritten title. He might as well get some studying done while waiting for dinner.

"We will now be taking a short break in our discussion to repot the disappearance of a 12 year old boy by the name of Izuku Midoriya."

Bakugo's head snapped towards the TV, not noticing his notebook sliding out of his hands and landing on the floor.

"The boy has been missing for almost 24 hours now, his mother last hearing from him yesterday while he was on his way home from school. Midoriya is about 1.53 cm tall and is described to have green messy hair, as well as big green eyes."

When a picture of Deku was shown on the screen Katsuki felt his heart drop, sinking into the pit of his aching stomach.
He started feeling lightheaded as he stood there in shock, his body completely paralysed.

"As far as we know he was last seen wearing a black long sleeved uniform, just like the one on the photo we are using for reference. The police have reported finding the young boy's phone and DNA in an empty alleyway, but no further evidence of where he could have gone. The phone however, was cracked and non-functioning, making the police suspect that Midoriya migh've been attacked.."

Bakugo's eyes grew wide, a light tremble spreading throughout his body. An alleyway.. Attacked.. Gone.
His own words came crashing down on him, things he wanted to take back but knew he couldn't. Izuku's odd behavior, their fight, the greenette running off in tears.. That person hurrying after him.

"-Both cops and pro heros will be joining the search parties but those civilians who are willing to help in the search are welcome as well. The police force are also sending cops to question the people closest to the the boy and his family, in hopes of getting a better picture of this situation."

At that moment the doorbell rang, the sound echoing throughout the whole house. Bakugo faintly heard his mother opening the door, greeting whoever stood on the other side.

"Oh, hello, how can I help you?" Mitsuki asked, sounding surprised and slightly nervous.

"Hello ma'am, sorry to bother you but we're from the police department and we would like to have a word with Katsuki Bakugo, is he home?"

"Why do you want to talk to my son?" His mother shot back. "Did something happen?"

"Now now, we are simply here to ask him a few questions about a kid in his class who's gone missing, his mother mentioned that Izuku Midoriya and your son were close friends."

Katsuki could hear his mother gasp before spewing out questions, barely giving their visitors any time to awnser them. His name was soon called but he didn't awnser, nor did he move from his spot.

The blond boy felt almost dizzy, his legs wanting to give out but still holding him up. He released a slow, shaky breath, one he didn't realise he was holding.

He had seen the attacker, had known something wasn't right, felt it in his entire being but done nothing. Ignored all the red flaggs and brushed it off of his shoulder.

'And now he's gone..'

×✴meanwhile✴×

Midoriya's pov.

It was dark. Dark and cold. The boy's puffy eyes had finally begun to adjust to the back void surrounding him. Not that it helped in any way, he still couldn't see anything useful for his brain to make sense of.

Midoriya had been awake for what felt like hours, just staring ahead of him while his sobs slowly turned into silent tears. Snot hung out of his nose, slowly dripping onto the smelly mattress underneath him.

Izuku whimpered as he tried to move his hands, his wrists burning behind his back where they were bound together. The rope had undoubtedly pierced his skin, a warm liquid dripping into his palms and fingers. The boy couldn't move his legs either, his shins being held together by a belt-like material.

As another shiver ran through Midoriya's body he curled up on himself, careful not to move his aching arms.

"Please.." He said, squeezing his eyes shut. "Anyone, please just.." He croaked out, his voice hoarse and weak.

"..help me.."
