I pulled up to the gate, she said she live in an apartment. I pull my phone out to call her and she answers on the 3rd ring
"Your outside?" She says and I say "yeah, I don't think I'm at the right place though, you said you had an apartment"
She sighs "I'll be down to let you in" and then hungs up
"She better hurry the fuck up, we have things to do Dominic, and we're watching her daughter for free" she scoffs
I look at her and say "our daughter, and you basically invited yourself, I didn't ask you to come sit back and chill the fuck out"

We wait for like 2 minutes and I see Ivy and Skylar walking down the steps and make their way to the gate and I see Ivy's outfit and scrunch my face up

"She looks a mess" Angela laughs "I would look better in that right baby"
I ignore her as I watch Ivy and Skylar walk to my car after they unlock the gate "I didn't know you still had this car" Ivy says touching the door
"Where you going dressed like that" I ask her looking her up and down, I feel Angela slap my arm lightly but I ignore it
"Me and Lucas going out to eat and then I'll come and pick her up ok" she says and I nod my head

"Lucas the gay boy?" Angela leans across me to ask Ivy
Ivy just stares at her and says "lean back in your seat" she opens the back car door "shoot I forgot her car seat lemme go get it"
While she goes to get Skylar's car seat I open my door to pick her up "hey baby" I say smiling
She climbs into the car by herself "hi daddy" she looks at Angela and says "daddy who's this"
"Oh this is Angela, daddy's girlfriend" I tell her and she gives me a confused look and says "I thought mommy was your girlfriend"
"Well she's not" Angela snaps at her and Skylar's lip starts trembling and I automatically pull her into my chest and comfort her
"Don't ever talk to my fucking daughter like that again" I say to Angela sternly
"It's ok baby, she didn't mean it" I say kissing her forehead as she puts her little hands on her eyes
She better stop crying before Ivy gets over here and beats the fuck outta Angela
She stops crying and I wipe her tears and nods her head
I see Angela roll her eyes a little bit but I ignore it
Ivy walks back over with the car seat "ok I got it, I'll put it in" she goes to hook up the car seat "come on baby get in your car seat"
Skylar doesn't say anything and gets in her seat "what's wrong bean" Ivy asks her with a concerned look on her face
I see that Angela has a scared look on her face and I smirk a little bit
"Daddy's girlfriend was mean to me" Skylar says whining a little bit and Ivy nods her head and starts to take her shoes off
"Ivy, don't it's all good I took care of it" I say to her, so she don't beat someone up in front of our daughter
"Dominic you know I will beat the fuck out of your girlfriend, get that bitch in check before I do it for you" she snaps at me and I smirk
"I know" I say, she puts her shoe back on and kisses Skylar's head "I love you bean, I'll see you later ok?" She says and Skylar hugs Ivy and says "I love you too mommy" Ivy shuts the door and waved goodbye to our daughter as I pull out of the gate
Today is going to be a good day

"And I'm going to beat the fuck out that bitch if she upset my daughter again and that's just on period, Dominic ain't going to save you every time" I say stabbing my fork into my salad
And Lucas agrees, we were out having dinner together "but enough about my drama, how's work?" I ask genuinely interested
I love the work that he does, he is a social worker but like a special type of social worker that helps children that was brought here against their will
I love to hear the stories, they break my heart but I love to hear the work that he does
We continue to eat and drink our wine, I'm only having one glass of wine though I drew the short straw for being the designated driver tonight
Lucas is starting to get drunk and that's our cue to leave, I get us to my car and buckle him up "don't throw up in my car" I tell him
"I love you so much Ivy, your the best thing that's happened to me, your my best friend" he says crying

I finally get him home, I call Renny to come and carry him out the car, because I struggled getting him in the car
I call Dominic and he answers on the second ring "hello" he says groggy, like he just woke up
"I'm on my way" I tell him, I hear him sniff like he's sick or something "Are you sick?!" I ask him in semi panic mode
He says "nah, I just woke up and it's stuffy in here" he chuckles
"Oh ok" I say laughing a little "I'll see up in a bit"
I make it to his house and it's big, not going to lie
I walk to his front door and ring the door bell, I wait for like a minute and the door opens but Dominic didn't open it, he's maid did
He know he not need no maid
"Mr.D'Angelo asleep in his room, I'll go wake him for you" the maid with a Italian accent says smiling
I smile back and shake my head "no you don't have to wake him, I just came to get Skylar"
She nods her head and lets me in, I walk up the stairs and there is a big door and it's obviously his, all the other doors were not as big as that one
I knock on the door not wanting to walk in on him doing something, I get no answer so I just open it
I see Skylar laying on Dominic's chest, once again
She must love it there
I make my way over to them, not before snapping a picture though
I shake Dominic "wake up" and he actually wakes up this time
"My bad I must've fell back asleep" he wipes the sleep out of his eyes "just stay the night, I know you're tired" he says shutting his eyes again
My eyes widen and I say "I can't, I don't have any clothes with me" I still have on the clothes from earlier , I usually have clothes in the car. I don't want to sleep in his bed with my day clothes on
"Go in my closet and find something" he says, as I'm about to protest he says "I'm not taking no for an answer"
I groan and go to his closet and find a shirt and some shorts
I come back out and Skylar is still on his chest "see was that so hard" he says looking at me, he scoots over and I climb into the bed, and sigh
Damn this bed is comfy
I pull the covers over me "my hair better not be fucked up in the morning or I'm kicking your ass" I say to him and he just chuckles
I turn on my back and just stare at the ceiling "do you ever wonder what would've happened if you never left" I hear him say, I look over and he's staring at me, I nod
"Definitely, I used to dream about it when I was pregnant and depressed, that was all I ever was thinking about" I say smiling "You know when she was born, her eyes were green"
"Really?!" He says and I nod "I took pictures of her everyday, hoping to send them to you, I tried to one time but you changed your number" I say laughing
I reach over and grab my phone, go to my photos and show him pictures. He smiles at the pictures "wow she's beautiful"
I nod "when She was first born, I was so depressed because I really wish you would've been there, she looked just like you" I say chuckling a little " it was to the point where I couldn't even look at her, my postpartum was so bad, my parents looked after her for a week until they forced her in my room" I wipe the tears that are falling down
That was the worst time of my life
"I really wish you could've been there" I say breaking down
He puts Skylar on the bed and pulls me into a hug "I'm here now" I continue crying for a little bit and he just comforts me the whole time
I really needed this
I thank him and we finally lay back down
As I close my eyes, I feel a muscular arm wrap around my waist and pull in me
I snuggle up against him sighing, I look up and he put Skylar back on his chest, I chuckle and he already knows what I'm laughing at and he starts to chuckle also
I think I still love him
