"Good morning class I'm you're new teacher and adviser my name is Mrs. Nancy Morgan," the middle aged professor said. Everyone in the whole class stood up to greet her back.
"Good morning Mrs. Morgan," Irish non energetically whispered together with her new classmates. She's in her last year of senior highschool, transferred to a new city, new environment, but her first day, instant regret punched her in the face.
Hindi niya parin makalimutan ang gulo na nangyari sa kanya sa labas kaninang umaga pag pasok niya.
"By the way class let's start," the Professor said while clapping her hands. "Please introduce your self, sunod-sunod ha?"
One girl stood up to start her introduction, but instead of saying her infermation, she covered her mouth and pointed at the opened door. Her reaction was followed by a bunch of crazed girls who began to scream as well.
"Oh my geeeee! The young masters!"
"Dito nila napili!"
"Gagi, I'm here kasi!"
Irish looked at the door only to be greeted by the grin of the man who caused all her troubles this morning.
Naiirita siyang yumuko para maiwasan na makita ng lalaki na kinaiinisan niya.
Sa sobrang paghanga ng mga babae sa mga lalaki, parang artista talaga ang tingin nila sa mga ito.
Nakahinga nang maluwag si Irish nang mapagtanto niya na nasa likuran nakaupo. Sa tingin niya ay hindi siya mapapansin ng lalaki at laking pasasalamat niya na hindi tumitili itong nasa harapan niyang barako kung umasta.
"Hindi talaga ako makakatakas sa kaniya," she whispered before lowering her head to rest it on the arm chair.
Huli na nang maalala ni Irish na pinili niyang umupo sa likuran dahil walang ibang nakupo dito. Naramdaman nalang niya ang mga yabag na papalapit sa kanya, ang paggalaw ng mga upuan, at ang pamilyar na malalim na boses ng isang lalaki.
"Hi seatmate," he said.
Hindi na nakaalma si Irish dahil sa nakita niyang nakapalibot sa kanya ang apat. Gusto niyang iuntog ang sarili niyang ulo sa upuan, bakit ba kasi niya pinili ang gitnang upuan sa likod?
She raised her head with visible dismay on her face. Her eyes landed on the guy on her left and he smiled at her, "mukhang makulit," she thought to herself. Pinigilan niya ang sarili sa paglingon sa kabilang banda dahil alam na niya kung sino ang nandoon.
But a huge hand landed on her head and slowly turned her head to make her look at him. His light brown eyes, pointed nose and a gorgeous lips are what she saw, close to her. Super close. In a way that she could already smell the sweet scent of the candy he's eating.
Sinubukan niyang lumingon pero isang kilos palang niya ay inilipat ni Ice ang pagkakahawag nito sa kan'yang ulo, pababa sa kan'yang baba.
"Hi, seatmate," he repeated while flashing his most adorable smile. Napahinto si Irish dahil sa ginawa nito. Nakahinga nalang niya nang maluwang n'ong nagsalita muli ang guro.
"Oh last row na,"sabi nito. Pinanood niya ang pagtayo ng lalaki sa dulo.
"I'm Aljur Sei," said the guy without any expression.
"Hey, I'm Kim Sei," the one beside her said. Happily waving to everyone.
Nagtataka siya noong mapansin niya na walang sumusunod at nakatingin ang mga kaklase niya sa kanya. She immediately stood up upon realizing.
"Hello po, ako po pala si Irish Yuan," she nervously said. Nanginginig ang pilit niyang pagngiti dahil sa nakakatakot na tingin ng mga babae sa harapan niya.
"Ice Lui Yvon S. Morgan."
Morgan? Irish immediately though about what his connection is to the school or to their Teacher.
"Fyren Ayu here," the last guy said. She could already tell that the last dude was the only one who seemed normal.
As the introduction part ended, their teacher started to prepare for the discussion. But one guy who is panting really hard aggressively knocked on the door.
"Hi there, I'm Angelo Rui. Sorry I'm late Madam, si Ice naman kasi eh. Iba pa ang ibinigay na room sakin."
Angelo, she took a mental note that this Angelo guy is gonna cause trouble for sure.
Wala sa sarili na yumuko si Irish. Wala siyang gana sa unang araw niya sa bagong school. She didn't imagine that her first day at the most prestigious school, Morgan University would turn out like this.
Her calm nap was interrupted by a cold splash of water that hit her back. Napabalikwas siya dahil sa biglaang naramandaman na lamig at dahil na rin sa malakas na pagtawa ng mga bago niyang kaklase.
She bit her lip as she turned to watch Ice angrily throw a bucket down.
"Why are you sleeping? My school is not a hotel," he said. Hindi kumibo si Irish na kaagad hinanap kung nasa kuwarto pa ang kanilang teacher. Mukhang matagal siyang nakatulog dahil natapos ang buong subject nila.
Her lack of reaction made Ice even more irritated. Hindi siya sanay na may tumatrato sa kaniya na ganito. He kicked the bucket beside his feet.
"Nag eenjoy ka ba?" Irish said without a slightest tone of emotion in her voice. "What's the reason for this?"
"You are sleeping in my school," Ice have put emphasis on his every word.
"So? Sa susunod, tsaka mo nako pagalitan at buhusan ng tubig kapag nasa gitna na ng klase at tulog ako," said Irish.
"Why?" Ice asked in response
"Why? Kasi doon ka lang magkakapoint . Doon ko lang matatanggap na binasa at ipinahiya mo ako."
"I can do what I want its my school after all," pang-aasar pa ng binata.
"As if I care! So what? I'm paying for good service and I wanted to learn," Irish lost it. "I'm new here, I don't know anyone. Sa simula ng araw ko, nasabunutan na ako at nahampas nang kung sino-sino!" she looked around to see of the girls sitting in the same class.
"I wanted to go to school, I didn't asked to be treated like this. Tapos ngayon ipamumukha mo sa akin na sa'yo itong buong school? So f*cking what? You do not own me," she walked closer to the door.
"And please lang, 'wag n'yo akong guguluhin dahil sa attention ng lalaking 'to. He's not even worth idolizing. Please, grow up."
After the girl left, Angelo stood up and tapped Ice in the shoulder.
"This is the first time someone dissed you like that," he laughed. Bago sa kan'ya ang nangyayari. Hindi din niya maalis sa isip niya ang nakakalitong itsura ni Ice.
Instead of being angry, which is usually the case, he somehow looks amazed. Parang may kung anong nagsasabi kay Angelo na kakaiba ang bagong babae.
"That girl is getting to my nerves! We need to order some eggs or some rotten tomatoes to throw at her," one of Ice's fan whispered to her friend.
Hindi nakaligtas sa pandinig ni Ice ang pagbulong ng babae.
"Don't you f*cking dare," his voice sounded scarry.
"Ye-yes young master," she was a bit shocked but she did not fail to address him just as how the whole fandom address their whole group.
"Aljur wha-" hindi pa natapos ni Ice ang tanong niya pero sumagot na ang kaibigan niya.
"Irish Yuan"
"Pretty impressive," he remarked.
"Fyren have you seen whi-"
"To the garden," Fyren also answeredd without even waiting for the question to finish.
"Not gonna lie, that's impressive. Mind readers huh?" natatawang sabi ni Ice.
Pero umiling lang si Kim, "You're really just obvious dude."
Ice ran off to follow the girl he just bullied.
"Hala, mukhang may tumapat na kay Mr. Casanova!"
Upon hearing Angelo's words, naglapit ang magkakaibigan para magsimulang pagpustahan ang mga mangyayari.
"One week, tapos mag sasawa si Ice!" Kim said.
"A month," Aljur said
"I'm usually good with this, pero may iba eh, " singit naman ni Fyren.
"I know right?" Angelo brightly smiled. "Baka siya na talaga ang panama kay Ice."
