Tom's POV
It was March of 2015, Y/N and I had been meeting a lot more, but just like Jade, she seemed distant as well. We were in her loft's balcony, it was snowing today, so I was stuck here, not that I mind. I'd be here with Y/N in my arms than anywhere else in the world. Y/N was talking looking at the view in front of us. She looked beautiful, we were both into the thick blanket, cuddling each other, even if it was cold, none of us wanted to go in.
I'd be lying, if I didn't say she looked beautiful. We were 27, there was no sign of that age on Y/N's face, she still looked young, unlike the others. I mean we were young, but some of us did start to look old. Not just face, her body was perfect as well, she didn't look like she birthed a baby girl, ever. The day when I saw her on the last premiere, I was awestruck. She was right, I was checking her out, she looked really hot.
We were sipping hot chocolate and I put the cup down. "Can you believe we're twenty seven, ugh, we sound old" she said shuddering making me smile. "Well, you look old" I joked making her jolt up from my chest.
I was comfortable.
"Have you seen your face? You have a bit of stress lines on your forehead" I said pointing at her forehead, "And here are your smile lines-" she cut me off, "WHAT?" she quickly pulled out her phone and looked at herself in the camera. I started laughing as I saw her fumbling. "Argh! I hate you, Tom" she said hitting my arm.
"But you know, stay right here, I'll bring my camera, you look absolutely pretty" I said standing up, I quickly went in and pulled my camera out of my bag and went to the balcony. "I can't believe, we've never done this in your balcony, it's so beautiful" I exclaimed as I told her to sit up straight. She was wearing a white tight tank top with some grey sweats, I could see the goosebumps on her arms as the cold hit us.
"Okay, now, here, wear my glasses and face your back at me and turn your head around to see me and flash that beautiful smile of yours!" I pecked her cheek as she wore my glasses. I clicked hundreds of pictures of her and I loved her in everyone of it, she's angelic.
She looked beautiful, so beautiful that I regretted for the first time to let her go when she confessed her love for me. I mean, not the first time, lately, when Jade's not near me or when we fight, the first person I always think about is Y/N. I imagine how different my life would be if Y/N and I would be together and in every scenario, it's better than Jade can ever make it.
I know I shouldn't think like this, Jade's my girlfriend, she's just busy, that's all, I can find time, so can she. But I can't help and wonder, 'Can you love two people at the same time?'
Y/N's POV
I was working on my laptop on a July afternoon when my doorbell rang. "Pizza's here!" I said to myself happily and grabbed my purse and went to the door. I opened to find someone holding a beautiful bouquet of white roses in front of their face. "Babycakes home?"
"Robert!" I dropped my purse and pulled him in a hug. He chuckled and wrapped his arms around me. I tightened the hug because it had been long since I saw him, almost two years. The last I saw of him properly, was at the premiere. "What are you doing here?" I said as I pulled away and invited him in.
"Well, I think you'd be happy to know that I am here for another six months, for a movie shoot" he said as I took the roses from his hand. "That's great! And thank you for the roses" I said as I put them in some water. "So-" the doorbell rang again and I excused myself. "Thanks, Greg" I said to him and took the pizza in.
"So, you're not busy?" I asked as I opened the box and we sat on my couch. "Oh, please, I can always make time for my babycakes" he said pecking my cheek. He's being nice. I smiled and we caught up on our lives. "So, where are you staying?" I asked standing up to throw the box. He followed me to the kitchen.
"At the Groove" he said making me nod. "Alright, well I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but erm, we're meeting for Dan's birthday at his place, I would invite you but since you moved, you've lost connection with everyone, but since you're here, we all can catch up some day"
"Of course, Y/N, I understand, don't worry, but promise I'll see you tomorrow for lunch?" he asked holding my hands. "Yeah, you will, we'll meet for lunch, we'll go to the diner" I said as he squealed. The doorbell rang again and I yelled, "It's open!" The door opened, "You better be ready, Y/N. I'm not-" Emma said but cut herself off mid-sentence, "Oh, Robert, I didn't know you were here in Hertfordshire" she said as they hugged each other.
"I hope I didn't interrupt anything" she said looking at us one at a time. Before I could speak, Rob chimed in, "Not yet!" he winked and walked over to me. "Alright, I'll pick you up tomorrow at 1.30?" he asked making me nod. He pulled me in a hug and showed himself out.
"I didn't know you were going on a date" Emma said as we walked to my closet. I rolled my eyes, "We're not going on a date" I said and paused, "I think..." I added as she giggled. "But don't you think it's high time?" she asked as I pulled out an outfit. I turned around to show her. "Nuh-uh" she said as I looked for another.
"You haven't had a boyfriend since Calvin, Tom seems happy with Jade, I think you should give Robert a chance again" she said looking for an outfit with me. "I think you might be correct, I mean, he was nice today and showed a lot of interest, plus he's staying here for six months, I could try to move on. I mean, there's no obligation that I have to date him, but I can try"
"That's the spirit and that's the outfit!" she exclaimed as I started changing. I wore a pink V-neck, drawstring, long sleeves short that was a little see through with blue jeans. I put on some makeup and put my hair in a high ponytail. "Let's go!" I said happily.

"So, what do you think you're going to wear on your date tomorrow?" Emma asked as I made myself a drink. I rolled my eyes, before I could tell her that it wasn't a date yet, Rupert asked, "Who's going on a date tomorrow?"
"Did I hear date?" Dan asked coming to us. "Yeah, when we call you a thousand times you can't hear that but yeah Emma mentions my date once, your ears are suddenly sharp" I said shaking my head. "Date? What date?" I heard Tom's voice.
Oh God.
"Tom!" I said turning around. "Are you going on a date?" he asked as Jade linked her arm with his. "No, no, oh my God, no one's going on a date" I groaned as I sat on the high chair. "Well, I was" Rupert said making us all look at him. "Really?" Emma asked making him nod. "There's this girl, I think she might be the one" he added and we continued to know about the girl and thankfully everyone dropped my topic.

The next day, I didn't know why, but I was excited. I mean, I knew it wasn't a date, but there was this feeling inside my stomach that I first had when I kissed Robert. I shook my thoughts and pulled out my baggy ripped jeans with a simple black top and some white sneakers. It wasn't a date, so I didn't have to fuss about looking good for him, plus I already look good!
As promised, Rob did pick me up but I discovered that we were walking to the diner, it wasn't that far but it made the walk interesting. We talked about this and that, our relationships, although, he did ask if I was single or not, so I think he has something else on his mind. Rob put an arm around me as we were returning home, we bumped into, none other than...
"Shorty!" I heard Tom call and I looked up. "Tom!" I said as I saw a dog in his hand. When did he get a new dog? "Robert, I didn't know you were here" he said looking at Tom. "Hey, man" they greeted and I took the sweetest pup I had ever seen in my hands. "You got a new dog?" I asked petting the golden retriever.
"No, no, just walking for a friend" he said and I handed the dog back. "So, this was your date" he said looking at me and Rob. "Oh my God! For the thousandth time, this was not a date, we were just catching up" I said pouting. "Well, I will not disturb you on your date" he said as he pecked my cheek, closer to my lip, they were almost touching.
"So, not a date, huh?" Rob asked as we started walking towards my apartment. "Was it a date?" I asked as I looked up at him. "Well, it could be anything that you wanted it to be" he said smiling shyly. "What did you want it to be?" I asked cockily. "I wanted it to be a date" he mumbled under his breath but I heard him clearly. I linked our arms and smiled.
"Then date it was!"
