Oseque by Orion launching event
The first project directed by Yoon Bomi from A to Z had finally been approved and the launching event would be held tonight. After this, Bomi could stand proudly in front of her father
Bomi was nervous inside the waiting room. She tried hard to memorise the script prepared by Hayoung
Knock! Knock!
Hayoung peeked her head inside
Hayoung-Miss Yoon, it's time to go
She nodded. Hayoung walked Bomi to the back stage. She groaned frustratedly
Bomi-Gosh, I think I'm gonna screw the whole thing. I can't even remember the script properly
Hayoung put her arm around Bomi's shoulders
Hayoung-Take it easy, I know you can do it. Try to calm your mind. Maybe recall any advice that might be useful?
Bomi inhaled deep. At that moment, she could only remember an advice from one person. Chanyeol
Flashback
Chanyeol-Looking nervous
Bomi-I don't think I can do it
Chanyeol-Of course you can
Bomi-When you gave out your first speech, were you nervous too back then?
Chanyeol-Of course. I had to take pills before going up the stage
Bomi-Really?
He nodded
Chanyeol-You will do mistake if you know what you read. To avoid that, do not memorise the text. Do it spontaneously
Bomi-How?
Chanyeol-The audience, think of them as a bunch of idiots. They all have no idea about this item, but you do. So explain to them what you know the best. Don't rush things when you speak. Make sure people can hear you clearly. Use simple language
Bomi nodded confidently
Bomi-Thank you
Chanyeol-Most welcome. Oh, before that
Bomi-What?
Chup!
Chanyeol pecked a soft kiss on Bomi's cheek
Chanyeol-Your good luck charm
Bomi's cheeks flushed in deep red. He chuckled
End flashback
Hayoung-Please be ready
Bomi quickly brushed off all her thoughts about Chanyeol
"Let me invite to the stage, Director Yoon Bomi"
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The crowd put their hands together for Bomi as she walked up onto the stage
Youngwoo looked at Bomi with proud eyes. Mijin was scrolling down her phone, did not pay attention to the rest at all
Eunji-Please excuse me for a bit
Baekhyun-Where are you going? The event is about to start
Eunji-I need to use the toilet. It won't be long
Baekhyun nodded. Eunji excused herself to the washroom
Bomi began her speech by welcoming the guests and medias. She proceeded with introducing Orion first beauty brand, Oseque
Bomi stared into the empty script card, pretending to read the prepared texts although she actually did not. She had no gut to look at the crowd. Because she knew he was there, as he should
Chanyeol stood amongst the people. He grabbed a champagne glass from the tray and sipped the drink casually
He wasn't paying much attention to Bomi's words. He simply stood there, admiring her beautiful face which he missed a lot
How Chanyeol wished he could go up there, kiss her, and tell her how much he loved her and wanted to be with her. But of course, it wouldn't be appropriate
Buzzed! Buzzed!
Chanyeol's phone buzzed in his pocket. He moved away from the stage as he picked up the phone
Chanyeol-Hello, Chanyeol speaking
Because it was too crowded, Chanyeol accidentally stumbled into a man who was wearing all black. His phone fell from his grip to the floor
Chanyeol crouched down and picked up his phone. But something caught his attention while he was kneeling. That man had a gun in his back pocket
Man-I'm sorry
He quickly apologised and disappeared among the people
Chanyeol-Shit!
Chanyeol looked for the man but he could not find him. There were too mazy people plus mostly the gentlemen were wearing black
Chanyeol-Excuse me, please give me a way
He squeezed in between people. Chanyeol finally spotted the man from earlier because he was the only one wearing a cap
In no time, the man lifted up his gun, aiming towards Bomi's direction
Chanyeol-Stop!
Chanyeol pushed everybody who was in his way. He was quick enough to grab the man by his arm and pulled him strongly as they both stumbled to the floor
Bang!
A loud gunshot filled the hall. Thank goodness it missed the target and nobody got hurt
All-Argh!
Everyone lowered down in terror. The crowd screamed and ran aimlessly
Baekhyun-What the hell happened?
Youngwoo-We need to get out of here
Mijin-Wait, where is Eunji?
Baekhyun-Damn it!
Baekhyun ran out of the hall to the ladies
Baekhyun-Eunji? Eunji?!
He bombarded into each and every stall yet they were empty. Eunji wasn't inside. Baekhyun headed back out. This time he attempted to reach her through a phone call
Just in time, Baekhyun noticed the gap of door at control room, as if someone just snuck in
Baekhyun-Eunji?!
He shouted in surprise
Pap!
Eunji pulled the switch down and the whole floor turned dark
Baekhyun-Wh.., what are you doing?
Eunji turned around to Baekhyun. She circled her arms around his neck as she pulled him closer and kissed his lips tenderly
Baekhyun was flustered for a moment until Eunji pulled away from their kiss. Tears were running down her face
Eunji-You didn't get hurt right?
Baekhyun-Nn..,no
Eunji-Thank God. I was so worried about you. Thank goodness you are fine
Eunji hugged Baekhyun right back
Eunji-I'm sorry
She sobbed in his chest. Baekhyun held her face up firmly before he leant in for another kiss

Pap!
Suddenly the lights went off. The hall turned pitch black. The man was distracted for one moment
Guard-There he is!
He bombarded towards the door. The security guards chased after him. The guests began to leave the hall as well
Chanyeol got reminded about Bomi. He could not find her anywhere. He headed to back stage. From his expression, obviously he was worried to death
Hayoung-Are you okay miss?
Hayoung asked anxiously. Bomi shook her head. Her face scrunched painfully
Bomi-It.. It hurts
Hayoung-Where?
Bomi-Au!
Bomi clutched at her belly as she collapse down. But someone caught her. It was Chanyeol
Chanyeol-Are you okay?
Bomi-Chan..yeol. Au!
Hayoung-Miss Yoon!
Chanyeol carried Bomi up bridal-style
Chanyeol-I'll take her to the hospital. Hayoung, make sure the culprit will be arrested as soon as possible
Hayoung-Yy.., yes sir
Chanyeol brought Bomi to his car and placed her in the passenger seat. He climbed to the driver's side and drove to the nearest hospital. It was only 3 km away
Bomi-Au!
Suddenly Bomi wailed. Chanyeol could not focus on the road
Chanyeol-Are you okay Bomi?
Bomi-It hurts. It hurts so much
Chanyeol-Hang on okay? We are almost there
Bomi-Baby.. The baby, Chanyeol
She cried. Chanyeol held Bomi's left hand as he squeezed her fingers gently
Chanyeol-Both of you will be fine, I promise
Emergency Unit
Doctor-Please move!
Bomi was brought to the emergency unit as soon as they arrived. She was suspected to have a miscarriage. The medical response had to double the force to make sure both mother and child would be safe
Chanyeol waited outside emergency room with anxious heart. He could not keep his mind straight for a good two hours. It worn him out just to think what could possibly happen to Bomi and her pregnancy
Doctor-Can I speak to Yoon Bomi's guardian?
Chanyeol shot up from his seat
Chanyeol-It's me
Doctor-What is your connection with the patient?
Chanyeol-I'm her husband
Doctor-Oh I see. You must feel anxious about your wife and your child
Chanyeol-What is their current condition?
