you stared at yourself one last time in the mirror, your long white dress hugged your every curve perfectly, your hair was tied into a low bun, with flowers woven throughout it, your makeup was flawless
just as you finished looking you heard a soft knock at the door, turning around to see penelope in her bridesmades dress
"you look stunning" she said in awe
"thanks penn, is it time?" you asked
she nodded
"lets go get you married" she said giggling
you took a deep breath and smiled
"lets do this" you said following her
you walked to the doors guarding rossis backyard, as hotch walked towards you
"you ready for this kid?" he asked smiling
you nodded and smiled
the huge doors began to open as the wedding march began to play
hotch locked arms with you and slowly guided you down the isle
thats when you saw emily
she was wearing a white mesh corset top, with white slacks and a white blazer, her hair was curled and was flowing down her shoulders
you made eye contact with each other and smiled, her eyes brimming with tears of joy
as you made it to the front, hotch smiled at you
"go get em" he whispered removing his arm from yours
you gave him a quick hug and he went to take his seat
you walked up to face emily
"hi love" you whispered
"hi" she said tears rolling down her cheeks
she took her hands in yours squeezing them slightly
and the reid started speaking as he insisted he officiate
"We gather here to unite these two people in marriage. Their decision to marry has not been entered into lightly and today they publicly declare their private devotion to each other. The essence of this commitment is the acceptance of each other in entirety, as lover, companion, and friend. A good and balanced relationship is one in which neither person is overpowered nor absorbed by the other, one in which neither person is possessive of the other, one in which both give their love freely and without jealousy. Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be loving and unselfish."
you glanced over the large crowd of family and friends, people you had known since you were born, people that had been with you through your darkest times, the people you loved the most in the world
"Do you both pledge to share your lives openly with one another, and to speak the truth in love? Do you promise to honor and tenderly care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all the days of your lives?" the spencer asked
you and emily looked back at each other
"we do" you said in unison
"Do you pledge to share your love and the joys of your marriage with all those around you, so that they may learn from your love and be encouraged to grow in their own lives?" he asked
"we do" you both said again
henry walked up with both the rings, handing them to the spencer
"May these rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you not only be reminded of this moment, but also of the vows you have made and the strength of our commitment to each other." he said pausing "emily please repeat after me... I Emily, promise to love and support you y/n and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed."
emily looked at you and smiled grabbing the ring from the reid
"I emily, promise to love and support you y/n and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed." she finished, sliding the ring onto your finger
the priest then continues
"y/n please repeat after me... I y/n, promise to love and support you emily and live each day with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed" he finished handing you the ring
"I y/n, promise to love and support you emily and live each day
with kindness, understanding, truth, humor, and passion. With this ring I thee wed" you said sliding the ring onto emily's finger
"if you have any vows you'd like to share, now is the time" he said
"y/n, since the day i met you i knew you were the one for me, and i know thats cliche, but its true, and i cant wait to start a family with you one day, because i know that you'll be there, one day ill focus on the future oh baby, because life is so inconsistent, but you've always been there for me and i love you for that" she said smiling
"emily, i love you your my world, i would take a bullet for you, you've always been there to listen to my stupid rambling and my rants, and lets be honest not many people stick around for that, and- god i told myself i wouldn't cry but, your my one and only, emily, the only one for me" you finished sniffling
"Go now in peace and live in love, sharing the most precious gifts you have-
the gifts of your lives united. And may your days be long on this earth.I now pronounce you husband and wife." he paused smiling "You may kiss the bride."
emily pulled you in my the waist, crashing her lips down onto yours, dipping you back and kissing you with even more passion
the crowd erupted into cheers and congratulations
and the reception began
derek had begged the two of you to let him mc the wedding, and after days of pleading you finally let him, praying he wouldn't ruin your wedding
you looked at emily smiling, tears spilling down both of your cheeks now
music began to play and you heard derek's voice booming on the mic
"ladies and gentlemen, i have the grand honor to be able to introduce to you all, for the first time" he paused gesturing to the both of you "mrs, and mrs, prentiss!" he said laughing as the two of you made your way down
the crowd once again began to erupt in cheers and whistles
you were both smiling from ear to ear
you took your own seat at the main table, and the festivities began, there was dancing and singing, the buffet of food that rossi ordered special for us,
it finally came time for speeches, rossi was first
"i had this whole plan to say that the two of you were like my daughters and i was so proud of you, but i realize how strange that sounds, so ill keep this short and simple, may your marriage have better luck than any of mine congratulazioni!" he said sitting down
next was reid
"y/n your my best friend, i'm so lucky to have met you, and i'm so glad that you and emily finally found each other, statistically 50% of marriages end up in divorce so heres to hoping your part of that 50... i-i mean the 50 that doesn't get divorced- uh yeah congrats" he said laughing
penelope stood up
"like rossi, ill keep this short and sweet, i'm so happy for the two of you, i love you both so much, and i hope you liked how everything turned out" she said smiling
the rest of the team went on to say a little something
the night continued, and it was then time to throw the bouquet, the women and girlfriends of the team all grouped up on the dance floor
you walked to the front, turning around and throwing the flowers with all your might, you turned around to see that it landed in penelope's hands, derek and her made eye contact and he gave her a smirk, sending a wink her way
directly after was time to cut the cake, everyone sat in awe as it rolled out onto the dance floor, it was beautiful and elegant, covered in baby pink roses and a 2 little statues of you and emily stood at the top
you both made your way to the floor and grabbed the cake cutter, emily placing her hands on top of yours and slicing into the cake, plopping the slice onto a plate
just then an idea sprung into your head, you picked up the plate and grabbed a small chunk out of the cake, and smashing it into her face
everyone stood in shock for a moment, eventually bursting out laughing
she wiped the frosting away from her eyes, staring dead into your eyes
"your gonna get it y/l/n" she said gravely
"its actually prentiss now" you said smiling "and bring it on"
she laughed, smearing some frosting onto your face
the rest of the night was filled with singing and dancing, and alot- a lot of expensive alcohol from rossi's special stash
as it winded down, you sat with emily at a table, watching henry, michael and all of matts brood playing
"what to you think" emily asked
"about what" you asked confused
"kids, i mean your so good with matt and jjs kids, id love to see you with a kid of our own" she said smiling
"of course emily, all i want to do is start a family with you."
she smiled and kissed you
cupping your face in her hands
"i love you" she said
"i love you prentiss, forever and ever"
forever and ever.

i was going to do this chapter with like your dad walking you down the isle or you sister being a bridesmaid, but i don't know yalls family situations, and i wanted to be as inclusive as possible so i just did it with the team instead i hope thats okay, i also may or may not have thrown a little wilber soot reference in there :]
