Namjoon's smile grew wider when he began staring at Jimin who was busy playing with the cute animals again.
To animals the treats still mattered the most so Jimin just admired them having it.
"Jimin, get up, let's go somewhere." Namjoon encouraged and sat up while Jimin just looked up at him with confusion.
"Huh?"
"Come with me." Namjoon gave his hand to Jimin who looked down at his large hands.
Jimin put his small hand against it and Namjoon quickly intertwined it and as he did he could see the difference, the size difference. Jimin's tiny hand almost disappeared into Namjoon's hold who scrunched up his nose to notice this cute detail.
Namjoon held it firmly as he began dragging him out of the pet lounge.
"But where are we going?" Jimin asked but let Namjoon take them somewhere into the street, which was decorated with beautiful trees and plants on the borders of the way as Namjoon took them to a park.
"I always treat small and cute creatures so here I go." And with this he stood near an ice cream truck on the entrance of the park and Jimin's gaze softened as he looked at Namjoon's side.
Did he just call me small and cute?
"What's your favourite flavour? Except for Mint Choco." Namjoon said, rolling his eyes at the mention of the flavour he hated.
"Ah... it's okay. I'm okay with anything." Jimin replied.
"Butterscotch, strawberry and chocolate scoop tastes like heaven together." Namjoon informed with amazement, his inner child showing up through his twinkling eyes and dimple smile that Jimin couldn't help but smile.
"Really? I wanna try then."
Namjoon nodded rapidly, taking them closer to the truck and Jimin noticed that he just didn't let go of his hand all the time.
"Triple scoop cone with butterscotch, strawberry and chocolate." Namjoon said and waited till the ice cream man fulfilled his demand while unconsciously Jimin began swaying their held hands back and forth, eyes reading the menu board.
Every action of his seemed so endearing to Namjoon.
"Why do you hate Mint Choco?" Jimin asked out of curiosity.
"It tastes like toothpaste."
"Why? Do you eat toothpaste too?" Jimin laughed off and Namjoon nodded his head while chuckling.
"How do you know?" Namjoon asked and Jimin looked at him with surprise and laughed.
"Really you do?"
"No I did in childhood but then one day my mom found out and I had a good number of spanks." Namjoon told his story and Jimin laughed while throwing his head back that he even tripped and Namjoon panicked, holding him still.
Jimin is really someone who needs to be protected, even when he is laughing.
"So you liked the taste of toothpaste but still don't like mint choco."
"People change so do their preferences."
Jimin was still laughing that he had to lean his head against Namjoon's shoulder until he would stop because he just can't see when he laughs and Namjoon looked at him from the side, Jimin was being so wholesome.
And to be honest, Namjoon was happy, light hearted and satisfied to see Jimin laughing carelessly. He felt a warm feeling all across his chest to see him laughing.
"Here you go." The ice cream man then handed them their ice creams and they took them one by one.
"Let's sit somewhere." Namjoon suggested and Jimin nodded, casually licking his ice-cream.
They then walked to a bench in the park as they chose to sit amid the greenery, the air a bit chilly but very refreshing.
This was when they had to let each other's hand go to sit facing each other while turning.
"I always loved doing this." Namjoon whispered.
"Coming to the park and having ice cream?" Jimin asked.
"No, treating small and cute creatures." Namjoon answered so casually but Jimin blushed, trying to hide a smile.
"I'm not small, I just live with big people and not your fault that you are actually very huge." Jimin answered in defence and Namjoon chuckled.
"Okay but what's your excuse for being cute?" Namjoon asked and Jimin rolled his eyes thinking.
"I never said that I'm not."
Namjoon chuckled, nodding his head in agreement.
"You sure are cute."
"Stop~~~" Jimin whined shyly and the two guys laughed a little more as they began having their icecreams.
Jimin then fell quiet as thoughts began occupying his head. It's not easy to get over things so easily.
"About what happened with Taehyung, is everything alright?" Namjoon asked after noticing and Jimin just looked up at him.
He had no answer for that.
"He... he probably doesn't ever wanna talk to me." Jimin whispered, sadness visible on his face.
"I don't think so. You two are inseparables."
"That's what I thought too." Jimin whispered with a downcasted expression that Namjoon's gaze softened.
"Don't worry. Fights do happen for a reason, maybe this will only strengthen you two more. Just take your time. It will be alright because after you left, Taehyung was looking so down." Namjoon confessed and Jimin looked up at him with shiny eyes.
"Really?"
"Of course Jimin, he is your soulmate. Out of anger he must have said or did something he shouldn't have but he surely was very sad for this. I hope you guys fix this soon." Namjoon suggested and Jimin felt so much better after hearing this.
He literally thought Taehyung had changed but after hearing this he still saw some hope of it getting back to normal.
"And what about you?" Jimin asked, watching Namjoon munching the cone and near finishing his ice cream.
"About me?" Namjoon asked, confused.
"You were so down these days." Jimin said and Namjoon suddenly dazed out, staring into space.
"Is everything okay with you because you seemed very off about something." Jimin asked again.
"It's... it's nothing I guess. I'm fine now."
"Joonie, you can always share." Jimin demanded in a soft manner.
Namjoon just looked at him and felt like it's such a waste of time to talk about but Jimin looked so curious.
"I'm just... ah it's hard to explain. I was okay but there's this past event that gets freshened and you get back to the same place from where you have started. It's difficult but I guess I have to start again." Namjoon confessed, sounding serious and Jimin looked at him with concern.
"Something bothers you?" Jimin asked worriedly.
"Ah... leave it Jimin. I'm alright now."
"It's okay if you don't wanna talk about it but I want you to know that you're not alone in this and also I'm always here to listen. Just wanna give you some advice, it's better to walk slowly than to walk backwards so take your time but you need to forget the worst of the past." And Jimin's advice struck Namjoon so hard.
He couldn't believe Jimin was way more mature than him though he was younger and his junior but sometimes people have a good piece of advice for things we are struggling with.
"It will be alright." Jimin then put his small fluffy hand against Namjoon's big ones who smiled while looking down at it.
"That's so helpful, thanks."
Namjoon whispered and looked up at Jimin, giving his dimple smile as assurance.
Things fall in places eventually and everything gets alright.

The two had an amazing day with each other, having long conversations about a lot of different things and roaming around the corners of park to have a clear and focused glance of nature.
Jimin found out how much Namjoon knows about nature and how much of a down to earth person he is that made him admire him more.
While for Namjoon he found out how Jimin is a curious, understanding and cooperative person to easily enjoy the company with.
In conclusion they were so happy that they spent this day together. It helped them to get rid of many problems they were facing and it gave them more energy to fight them.
It was now evening when they decided to head back home and the first thing Namjoon did was to drop Jimin home who asked him to come over but Namjoon promised for some other day.
Jimin had no choice but to agree and they finally shared good night's and byes.
He came home to find his worried mother who had been trying to call him but the guy left his phone at home.
"Aigoo my heart was so heavy, where were you?" She asked and Jimin smiled apologetically.
"Sorry mom, I was out in the pet lounge I told you."
"But this late?" She asked.
"Sorry mom."
"But are you okay baby?" She asked, holding his cheek gently and Jimin nodded.
"Yes mom, I am all good, see." He now turned around like a good boy and showed a bright smile to her who melted right into it.
"Aigoo, wash your hands, dinner is gonna be ready."
"Okayy!!"

Jimin was now in his bedroom after the dinner, thinking about the day.
He had a lot of things going in his head.
But suddenly he heard his mom yelling for him.
"Jimin~ah come down."
Jimin rushed down instantly to find his mother standing at the door with something near her feet.
It seemed like a small beautiful basket.
"It's for you."
Jimin walked closer with curiosity and looked down to check the basket that was loaded with everything he loves, from chocolates, treats to a small teddy bear.
"This says your name." She then handed him a card that Jimin took and opened.
He had no idea who it could be because whoever it was, seemed like someone who knew him a lot.
"Jiminie,
I know what I said and did was wrong. I didn't even see what I was saying and I know I must have hurt you so much. I am so sorry and there's no way I can spare a single day without you. I love you so much and please forgive me.

Jimin's eyes started watering. He couldn't help but feel like crying out of happiness
He can't stay mad at Taehyung, this is too much to say no to. His soulmate showed him again that he is the best.
"If I'm forgiven, can I get a hug?" And now he heard a voice from behind his mom, the guy appearing in front of him who had been hiding behind the door for him for so long.
And Jimin didn't care about everything in that basket because all he needed was there, his soulmate Taehyung.
Jimin jumped on him to hug like a Koala and Taehyung held him instantly, both losing control and crying while babbling incoherent things out of which only 'miss you' could be heard.
Jimin's mother got emotional to see them and let the guys be, placing the basket on the table she let the guys have their time.
They needed a soulmate's time because they spent 48 hours without each other which needed to be fixed.
