A/N how this scene should of gone :(
Josie winces as the witch gently takes her broken arm in her hands, trying to figure out how to help before a voice gently interrupts her.
"You need to reset the bone." Jade informs as she shyly steps into the room.
"Jade?" Josie asks, her heart skipping a beat and memories of their 'kiss' floating to her mind.
"Sorry. I heard the discussion back stage." She says sheepishly. "Let me help."
"Thanks." Josie sighs.
The other girl gets up and smiles at Jade as she leaves the room. Jade walks over to Josie's bed and sits down, nervously avoiding eye sight with Josie as she carefully takes Josie's sore in her hands.
Josie's heart flutters at how soft Jade's hands are, and despite the shooting pain in her arm, she still gazed at Jade adoringly. The vampire had been plaguing her mind in the best way possible ever since the prison world, then they kissed and Josie is pretty sure she fell in love with her. But then she went dark, she hurt the people she loved and she never thought Jade would talk to her ever again. But here they are, and Josie is ecstatically happy.
"I've missed you." Josie blurts out as Jade positions her hands on her arm.
The vampire looks up and blushes. "I've missed you too." She says softly.
The two hold eye contact for a few long seconds before Jade breaks it by clearing her throat.
"This will hurt a bit. Is there any spells you could do to help with the pain?" Jade asks.
Josie nods. "Can I?" Jade is confused at first, but when Josie's when ever so gently lays on her cheek, she understands what Josie means. She nods her consent and she has to bite back the gasp that wants to escape when Josie starts to siphon from her, making her head spin deliciously.
Jade tries to look away from Josie's eyes but she feels like she's being compelled, ironically, by Josie's eyes. Josie stops siphoning a few seconds later and Jade hates it.
Josie casts a numbing spell on her arm and lets Jade know it's okay to proceed. The vampire concentrates deeply and gently pushes down on the bone to feel where it needs to go, when she finds it she gives Josie a warning before pushing the bone back into place, a small pained yelp escaping Josie.
"Sorry." Jade pouts slightly. "It's gone back in, I'll put it in a cast and it should heal in a few days."
Josie whispers a healing spell to hurry the process along which makes Jade smile, she's always been fascinated by witches and their spells.
Jade carefully wraps Josie's arm up in a cast with an old first aid box Josie found in her room.
"Okay, This should be as good as new by tomorrow." She says and finishes wrapping it. "Those healing spells are really impressive."
Josie just smiles softly.
"You were great by the way, in the show. Really charming." Jade compliments, smiling shyly at her.
"Thanks. I was fighting it at first, I didn't want to think that Elena and I were actually going through the same thing. I've changed but nothing around me really has." Josie tells her.
"So, maybe it's not the place for you anymore." Jade says as she packs away the left over fabric. Josie's face flashes in surprise at Jade's words. "I mean, not permanently. Just.. maybe you should see what else is out there, you know?"
Josie frowns slightly as she takes in Jade's words.
"That's what I'm doing." Jade shrugs slightly, avoiding Josie's eyes.
"You're leaving." Josie comments, her heart dropping and a wave of sadness crashes over her.
"Yeah." Jade whispers and nods. "This place is too tied up in the person I used to be." Josie nods as if she's understanding her, but she can't. "Also, um... sorry if this is awkward, but I hate ambiguity. Um... we shouldn't be a thing, right?"
Yes! Josie wants to scream at her, but she doesn't so she settles with a flattered smile.
"Uh, I mean, like, I'm way older than you." Josie lets out a breathless chuckle as her cheeks hurt from grinning. "And I used to, like, babysit you, so..."
"Yeah, it's a little weird." Josie agrees but she doesn't mean it. She remembers all the times her Dad asked Jade to babysit her and Lizzie whilst he was busy, Josie remembers how Jade she'd to read them bedtime stories and sing them to sleep. Oh god, how Josie loves Jade's voice.
They both chuckle.
"Um.." Josie looks away for a second. Then she looks back with a new wave of confidence. "But..."
Jade looks up.
"Um, if you are actually leaving, um.. I think I would kick myself if I didn't get to kiss you, for real." She says which makes Jade blush. "Um, just, because last time I was hopped up on black magic." Josie starts to lean forwards, a smile gracing her lips. "And just so there's no ambiguity." She says smoothly, her eyes glancing
down at Jade's lips.
Jade smiles slightly and nods. "Right." She agrees.
Josie smiles and cups Jade's cheek with her good hand as she presses her lips against the vampires.
Josie almost cries at how perfect the kiss is, how worded to their lips fit together, how perfectly in sync they move. Jade's hands at some point move to cup Josie's want cheeks to pull her closer, continuing their goodbye.
Despite Jade being a vampire and not needing to breathe, she knows Josie does so she slowly pulls away from her, her hands falling from Josie's face and she sits back on the bed.
Tears flood in Josie's eyes and she drops her head to hang low. Jade frowns sadly and tilts Josie's head up so she can rest her forehead against hers.
"Don't leave." Josie whispers tiredly.
"I have to." Jade sighs. "I can't stay here, Josie, there's a whole world waiting for me."
"Why can't you stay?" Josie asks.
"I killed someone, Joz, here-"
"So did I, but I'm not leaving." Josie says.
"I became the person I told myself I would never become at this school. I look around and all I can think about is how I wasn't strong enough. I look around and remember the screams and then the guilt and shame, the remorse. I remember all the pain I locked away, the pain that got me locked away for ten years. I look around and all I feel is pain." Jade tells her.
"I can help you through the pain, Jade." Josie says desperately.
"Oh, Josie, you have you own pain to deal with." Jade whispers. "You'll be okay."
Jade kisses her head before getting off the bed and walking towards the door but Josie stops her.
"I have lost everyone I have ever loved. The first girl I fell in love with left me and went to Belgium. Then there was Hope, she left me. Landon left me. I can't lose you as well, Jade, I won't be able to get through it. You might find it weird because you've known me as a child, but I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm not a baby
anymore, I am standing here as a 17 year old girl who is damaged but she still knows what she wants. And I want you, Jade. I need you." Josie tells her.
Jade turns around to face her. "I have known you since you were 6 years old. I've showered you and changed your wet sheets. I've read you bedtime stories and sung you to sleep. You are a baby, and you have your whole life ahead of you. I've been a vampire for 11 years now, Josie, I'm older than you by a lot and it would be wrong
for us to date. So wrong."
"I know you, Jade. I know that you love the rain and you hate the snow. Your favourite colour is violet. You grew up without your parents. You're 5 foot 5 and a half but you like to tell people you're 5 foot 6. You act all tough, but really you're just this soft, scared little girl. You're favourite food is french fries but you hate them
with ketchup and salt. Your favourite drink is coffee, cappuccino to be precise. Your favourite song is 'can't help falling in love' by Elvis Presley. You hate sleeping alone and you hate to admit that you're the little spoon. I know that you would put anyone's happiness before your own. I know that even though you pretend not to care
about people, that's all you do. I know your dream is to be an emt. And I know that no matter how hard you try, you can't help falling in love with the wrong people." Josie says without hesitating. "I know you better than anyone else." She whispers, tucking some hair behind Jade's ear.
Jade leans into Josie's touch and closes her eyes softly. "You can't do this to me, it's not fair."
Josie smiles softly. "If you leave, Jade, then you are leaving me with nothing. I don't care that you're older than me, I don't care that you sued to babysit me, I don't care about any of that. My Mom fell in love with a vampire who was 1000 years older than her, so I think we're okay in that department." Josie says playfully which makes
Jade smile slightly. "I have let people walk all over me my whole life, but for once I am taking back and being selfish. I know you want to leave, but if you stay here with me, I promise you I will never leave you, and I will help you through everything."
"You're a baby." Jade whispers desperately.
Josie smiles. "Not anymore I'm not. I'm a 17 year old girl and I don't know anything, but the one thing I do know is that I am falling in love with you, Jade, and it's the best feeling in the whole world. I know that I want you, forever and more."
The fire cackles behind them as a desperate silence falls over them.
"Don't leave." Josie whispers. "Please." Her voice cracks.
Jade breaks when she hears the croak in Josie voice. She was trying to put off her feelings for the younger girl because of the past they have, but after hearing Josie's confession she can't hide anymore. She can't pretend that she's not falling for her as well.
Jade opens her eyes slowly to meet Josie's glossy ones, the fire painting the side of her face with a delicious glow and Jade falls even more. Her wraps wrap around Josie's neck and she hugs the girl tightly, going on her tip toes to reach her. Josie sighs in relief and hugs Jade closer to her, crying happily against her hair.
"I'm not leaving, baby." Jade whispers.
Josie sobs happily, finally free of all the pain her ex lovers have left her with.
"I'm not leaving."
