The sounds the broom makes as the maid swept, that's the only thing that Kirumi could hear in the empty hallways as she was cleaning.
On the other hand, your side was quiet too.The sounds you make as you breathe heavily,the sound of your footsteps that only you could hear in the empty hallways.
You stopped running as you spotted the Ultimate Maid.
"Hi,Kirumi!" You greeted cheerful,holding on your knees,still catching your breath.
"Why,hello,Y/N." The Maid greeted back. "You seem tired.Would you like me to get you a drink?"
You immediately stood up straight, waving your hands. "No!I'm fine!I wasn't tired at all!"
Kirumi looked at you,not buying it but just decided to shrug it off.She went back to sweeping the floor and you just stared at her, remembering what you came here for.
"Kirumi~" You called out again. "Yes,Y/N?" She asked.
You smiled and asked. "Can I help you clean today?"
You came here to help Kirumi.It was her birthday and she seemed lonely.Not to mention,you haven't seen anyone greet her so far.It seemed like everybody had forgotten about it. Your heart broke a little, thinking about that,so you decided to spend time with her on her birthday.
"No,I can do this on my own.And you seem tired.Thank you anyway." The taller female politely declined.
You frowned,which Kirumi noticed. "Please?" you asked once again.
Her face softened, letting out a small sigh. "As you wish."
You grinned and she gave you a broom.The two of you swept the hallways together.The sound of the broom brushing against the floor is quite relaxing.
As you were done sweeping,Kirumi decided to mop the floor and you cleaned the windows. It was a long day of cleaning if you had to be honest.But it was all worth it.Anything for Kirumi,after all.
You were done cleaning and you felt exhausted.Kirumi,on the other hand,seemed fine.She's used to all this cleaning.She is the Ultimate Maid,after all.
Kirumi looked at you, leaning on the wall, looking exhausted.She couldn't helped but smile because of how beautiful you looked, although you looked tired.
She could look at you all day,if she had to be honest.Your beautiful eyes,your soft looking lips- And she never expected that she'd be attracted to the way your sweat rolls down your neck. But of course, it's your smile that she has always been attracted to. She finds your smile motivating and somewhat refreshing.
She seemed happier now than earlier, knowing no one seemed to care about her birthday or no one just remembered.She just shrugged it off, because she thought it was selfish to think such things like that. 'It is very childish.' She said to herself.But now, it's all okay.She's very happy now that you spent time with her and even helped her clean.
She pat your head and smiled at you. "Good work today,Y/N. Thank you for helping me."
You smiled at her. "Of course,Kirumi! Anything for you." You replied.
The taller girl raised an eyebrow and hummed. "Anything?" She asked.
You nodded and hummed in response,as a 'yes'.
"Then how about you get some rest for me.You seem exhausted." The Maid said, cupping your cheek in concern.
You stood up straight and laughed awkwardly. "I'm not exhausted!" You denied.
"I do not believe you're not.Now go get some rest." She stated.
"No!I can't go rest yet,we have to go somewhere!" You spoke.
You grabbed her hand and her eyebrow rose. You led her outside the school and you saw your chauffeur that had been waiting for you. You led the maid to the car as the two of you got in.
"Y/N, I still don't know where we're going.Is it somewhere important that you had to get a chauffeur for-" You cut off Kirumi and spoke, "Yes! It's very,very,very important and I need you!" You tried to sound very dramatic.
Kirumi just sighed and nodded.
As you got to your destination,it was a Botanical Park.You smiled at Kirumi and grabbed her hand again to lead her inside.
The Maid gazed the place in awe.
There were no one else in that place, it's just her and Y/N.
Fairy lights were displayed everywhere, lighting up the place.They were like fireflies.Bright and Beautiful.
The splashing sound of a small artificial waterfall that can be heard from afar.
The moon so bright and round,she could just look at it all night.
The floral scent of various flowers.She has always loved flowers and so did Y/N.
Kirumi then felt two hands cover her eyes.She immediately suspected it was you,since it's only the two of them there.
You led her to a table and you pulled away. She then saw a table that had two seats.There were various of food and a cake in her favorite flavor. There was also a bouquet of flowers and a box sitting on the other seat.
She let out a small gasp, her heart slowly melting.You picked up the bouquet and gave it to her.
"Happy Birthday, Rumi!" You greeted cheerfully with a big smile on her face.
Kirumi was close to tears but she had manage to hold it back.She was speechless.
The two of you sat down on the chair and you lit up the candle and started to sing happy birthday cheerfully.Kirumi was genuinely smiling through the song,not to mention how she loved the sound of you singing.
"Thank you so much,Y/N." The Maid thanked you.
"Make a wish!" You spoke.
She looked at the candle and paused. She then blew the candle and you clapped softly.
The two of you started eating and chatted through dinner. You talked about your interests,since Kirumi was very interested in learning things about you. She also complimented your cooking and invited you to cook with her sometimes.
After dinner,the two of you sat on the bench,under the moon.You were gazing at the artificial waterfall.It was indeed beautiful.
There were colorful lights under the water.
The waterfall was surrounded by various flowers.
And there were even koi fishes in the ponds that was next to it.
Kirumi found it breath taking and so did you."Thank you so much,Y/N. For helping me clean,for spending time with me,for this.. Thank you for everything.I appreciate it a lot."
You looked at her and asked, "So,what did you wish for,Rumi?'
The sage haired female giggled. "Don't you think my wish would not come true if I told you?"
"O-Oh, you're right." You replied and smiled sheepishly.
She then smiled as she looked at you in the eyes.She rested her hand on yours. "But if you really want to know...I know it isn't my place but my wish was being able to kiss you." She whispered.
You started to blush and went silent for a moment.
"You don't need to,Y/N. It would be selfish of me to-"
"No, it's okay!You can...Umm...I actually wanted too.." You were too embarrassed to finish your sentence, saying the last words quietly.
The Maid did not expect you to approve.She found the way you get flustered adorable, which made her giggle.
She slowly leaned in closer.You nervously closed your eyes and slightly shaking out of nervousness and embarrassment. 'Cute.' Kirumi thought to herself as she paused and proceeded to lean closer, moving a few strands of your hair away from your face and tucked it behind your ear.
Kirumi has hardly done something for her own pleasure and she was glad that she has done this.With you.The woman she admired.
She pressed her lips against your, giving you a small peck.You opened your eyes to look at her and she gave you a smile.
She leaned in closer again.The both of you closer your eyes.She pushed her lips against yours and kissed you passionately.You nervously kissed back and started to melt into the tall girl's kiss. The both of your chests were pounding and your face was in a bright shade of pink.
She cupped your cheek, pulling you closer to her as her other hand rested on your waist.Your arms wrapped around her neck as she kissed you deeper.
The both of you pulled away, catching your breaths. "You know,I had only liked you,Y/N.But now, I have fallen deeply in love with you.And I know it is very strange of me to ask you this but.. Would you like to be my girlfriend?" Kirumi asked.
You smiled and hugged her. "Yes.Of course." You replied.
Kirumi hugged back. "I'm glad."
"I love you,Y/N. Very much."
"I love you,too,Rumi..."
You whispered.Kirumi pulled away but you didn't seem to move away.She looked at you and you were half asleep. "She really is exhausted." She thought to herself.
The tall girl sighed and stood up from the bench.She picked you up and carried you bridal style along with the bouquet of flowers and the small box that had a gift you gave her.She carried you on your way to the chauffeur that had been waiting for you to come back.The female didn't struggle one bit,she was pretty strong and was used to carrying things,after all.
On your way back to Hope's Peak, your head was on Kirumi's shoulder.She looked at your sleeping face and it made her smile.She then looked at the box and opened it. It was a necklace with a small emerald pendant.There was also a card with it.She took it out of the box and read it.
"Happy Birthday,Kirumi!I hope you liked my suprise!You have always been so hardworking and you have always been there for us.Thank you for thanking care of me.I really love your cooking as well, it's divine! Always remember that I appreciate you a lot and I'll always be here for you. Love 'ya,Rumi!

Kirumi smile at the card and place it back inside the box.She looked at you,who was sleeping peacefully and she kissed your cheek.She really is in love with you.
As you got to Hope's Peak,she carried you inside.She noticed how it was dark but as she stepped inside,lights began to turn on and your classmates were gathered up, holding a cake.
"Happy Birthday,Kirumi Tojo!" They all yelled, throwing confetti everywhere.
"Moooom,Happy Birthday!" Kokichi greeted,louder than everyone.
Kirumi was shocked.She smiled at her classmates and pressed an index finger on her lips,then pointed at you.
"Thank you, everyone." Kirumi softly said."I will right back.I must put Y/N to bed."
Kaede giggled. "No wonder I didn't see Y/N anywhere.She had her own plans."
Kirumi went to your dorm and set you down on the bed.She tucked you in and gave you a soft kiss on the forehead. "Sleep well,darling."
She went back to her classmates.They sang her a birthday song and she blew the candles. 'I wish that Y/n and I will have a happy and healthy relationship together." She wished. Her classmates then gave her gifts and they all chatted a bit.
After a while, everybody went to sleep and Kirumi was sweeping and cleaning up the confetti.It was all quiet and she could only hear the brushing of the broom.Not until she heard footsteps.Hands then wrapped around her,which gave her a surprise.
She looked behind her and it was you, half awake. "Y/N, what are you doing up?" The Maid asked.
"Go to sleep,Rumi." You mumbled, tugging on her hand.
Kirumi sighed and smiled at you. "Very well,then." You then pulled her and led her to her room.But before even dragging her to bed,you flopped into her bed,not being to fight the sleepiness.
Kirumi laughed at your tired self and lied down beside you."Goodnight,dove." She whispered. "Goodnight~"
"This is the best birthday ever." Kirumi thought to herself before falling asleep as well.
