The wedding was 3 months away, Tom and I had been making preparations since the day they told us. Some days, we pulled all nighters, cause there were somethings I liked but Tom didn't, some he liked but I didn't, some we both liked but the couple didn't. It was getting difficult day by day. Tom and I had taken Timber to the park today, so I could spend more time with Timber without being interrupted and well we could plan a perfect wedding for our best friends.
"No, I think they should have a band, I know this perfect-" Tom said but I cut him off, "No, band's like outdated, we'll have a DJ and give him the wedding playlist, he can change up a bit but he has to adhere to the list" I said as Tom groaned looking out of his building. "What?" I asked and he shook his head.
"This friend of Jade's, always blocks up my parking spot, no matter how many times I've told him to park in the visitor's place, but he doesn't listen" Tom said as he parked across the building in the street in front of him. "Won't the people who live in that house need this spot?" I asked as I got out of the car. "Yeah, but they're really sweet, they let me park here sometimes" he said as I opened the passenger's door and let Timber out.
She was so excited that she started running to cross the street, Tom and I were busy talking to each other, but luckily my eyes fell on Timber. Unfortunately, there was a car approaching and the driver had no idea of Timber, there was no time to push Timber out for safety or even me, so with instinct, I just jumped and hugged Timber, so that the car would hit me and the impact on her would be less.
"DARLING!" Tom shrieked as the car stopped at an inch to touch my hair. I let out a sigh from my mouth as Tom ran to me and the car driver got out. Tom fell to his knees and I looked up, he had tears in his eyes. He shook his head slightly, looked at Timber back at me and pulled us in a hug. A very tight, long hug. Jade came running down and stood beside us. She doesn't really get to say anything if she saw us like that at the moment.
"Never, ever - do that!" Tom said placing kisses all over my face. He kissed Timber once or twice, "I was not going to let my Puddles die" I said hugging her tighter and kissing her a few times. "I'm really sorry, ma'am" the person said in fear. Tom and I pulled away and looked at the person. Tom was about to go batshit crazy on him, but I held his hand, his eyes met mine and immediately softened. "Just be careful next time" I said calmly and let the person go. Jade took Timber in as I looked back at Tom.
"Tom, it's fine" I said as we stood up. "How can you let him go just like that? He was about to run you over, I would've lost two of the most important people in my life-" he said but I cut him off by pulling him in a hug. He sighed and wrapped his arms around me and we stood like that in the middle of the street.
••••••
"You look really beautiful!" Tom praised as he wrapped his arm around me while we waited for Ellen to call us on stage. I wore a red dress with thin straps that went to my knees and perfectly hugged my curves. I smiled as I looked at Tom, he looked amazingly handsome in his navy blue suit. "Thank you, you look handsome as well" He smiled warmly at me as Ellen called us on stage.
"Welcome back, Tom and Y/N" Ellen said as we settled down. The crowd was still cheering and standing for us. "This is the longest and the loudest cheer and applaud that my show has ever seen" Ellen said as we quietly thanked them. After a while, they settled down and Ellen was struggling to find words.
"You're dead!" she blurted out making the audience laugh. Tom and I chuckled along with her, "Yeah, what can you do? I mean the daughter Of Vol-" I was speaking but she cut me off. "Okay, that can't happen, because you were like the one who defeated the Dark Lord, we still don't know why you had to kill him and we didn't see your kids, so, I'm going to keep hope out for another movie and David is going to do a press conference, so we're all going to listen it together" she said happily.
"Now, I am not assuming that this is the last movie, but what did you take away from the set?"
"Well, the both of us really wanted to take away our wands, not to brag or anything but Tom's was pretty simple, mine was the special one on the set, with the rose quartz and little bit of everything, but David said no, we settled on the engagement rings that we got when we got engaged, yeah"
"Sounds like bragging, darling" Tom said making everyone laugh.
"Well, I don't want to ask anymore questions, so let's play a game - 'Never have I ever'" Ellen said as she handed us the placards of 'I have' and 'I have never', "So I think you're young people, you know the game, but I'm still going to say it, we play it here a lot, so here's how it goes, I'm going to ask series of questions - if you have done it, you put up 'I have' and if you haven't, you turn it around, 'I have never'. Let's get it started"
"Never have I ever been to a nude beach" the three of us turned to 'I have never'.
"Come on, you gotta be honest" Ellen joked rolling her eyes.
"Never have I ever been arrested"
Tom and Ellen put up 'I have never' but I did 'I have'. It was a time when Carver and I were dating, we started to get physical, you know, in a public place, so...
"What? When?" Tom asked looking at my hand. "I'd rather not talk about it" I said covering my face with the card making everyone laugh. "So, Never have I ever gotten a tattoo that I regretted" All of us put up 'I have never', "I don't have any tattoos on my body, so, goes without saying..." I said shrugging.
"Never have I ever joined the Mile High Club" the minute those words left her mouth, Tom and I shared a small look and put up 'I have'. The crowd started laughing and cheering along with us as we hid our faces, clearly knowing that we did that with each other when we were going to Hawaii.
The mile high club is a slang term for people who've had sex during a flight. For those who didn't know what Mile High Club stands for...
"Never have I ever gotten out of a speeding ticket by being a celebrity" Tom put up 'I have' while Ellen and I didn't. I knew he did that, he called me right after that happened.
"Never have I ever forgotten the name of a date" Tom and Ellen put up 'I have never' whereas I did the opposite. "How do you forget the name of a date?" Ellen asked and I put my hand down. "Well, I have been starting to go on dates recently, so this was, erm, exactly last year and honey, if you're watching this, then I'm really sorry" I said turning to the camera, "I had had a long day, I had completely forgotten about the date, so I was in, erm, some jeans and a normal top, it was more of a casual date, so about five minutes into reaching my loft, he knocked on my door. I opened the door thinking it was pizza, but it turned out to be my date"
"So, how-how did you manage-"
"Well, er, at least I knew he was my date, because Emma set us up, so I was trying so hard to remember his name, by squinting my eyes, or nodding, or closely looking at him, but he just thought that I was very interested in his conversation" I said making the crowd laugh. "After I reached home, Emma had a text - So, how did your date go with? And then I was like - Oh, that was his name"
"Alright, Never have I ever seen one of my 'Harry Potter' stars naked"
"I mean do you even have to ask that question Ellen?" I said as Tom and I put 'I have' up because we literally filmed those scenes, "No, we mean off-set" she corrected but Tom and I didn't turn the card around making the crowd go wild.
Ok, so we sort of just declared on national TV that we saw each other naked apart from set and when does that happen? *eyeroll*
"Never have I ever lied on a talk show" Tom and I put 'I have' up, "Plenty of times!" I said making everyone laugh.
"Never have I ever sexted" Tom put up 'I have' whereas Ellen and I didn't. Of course, they stay away from each other like what? Everyday? Unbelievable, they see each other all the time on set, why do they need to sext- Alright, calm down, you're on a talk show.
"Okay, let's take the last question - Never have I ever hooked up with a fan on tour" Tom and I quickly shook our hands and put up 'I have never'. After a short break, we were back on air. "So, are you a Slytherin, Tom?" Ellen asked as Tom nodded cockily. I rolled my eyes and interrupted, "No matter what he says, he's not a Slytherin"
"I am!"
"Are not. For one, yes, you're ambitious and all that stuff, but I am sure I'm gonna get hate from his fans for saying this, but knowing him for 23 years, he's a Hufflepuff. He's just too sweet, so, yeah, he's not definitely Slytherin" I said making Tom fake gasp, I've told him a lot of times about him being a Hufflepuff, so he knew I would bring it up.
"Oh and you act like you're Gryffindor, please I saw you shriek because you saw a cockroach in your room the other day and texted me SOS - I was so worried, I rushed to her room to find her sitting on her bed, legs hugging her chest - 'It's in the bathtub' is what all she said. Gryffindork" he said earning a hit from me.
"Y/N, another Oscar nomination, how does that feel? Now, this is the second nomination, right?" she said turning to me, "Oh, surreal, I mean, I don't keep any expectations about winning, cause the ones nominated with me have done some incredible work, so..." I said smiling as the crowd cheered for me.
"So, now it's almost when David Heyman is going to do the press conference, it has already started, he's with Steve, Harry Potter's script writer and David Barron, so let's hear it" Ellen said and Tom and I shook our heads because we knew what he was going to announce.
"So, yeah, is there a reason that you kept this press conference?" a reporter asked and I sighed looking at the screen. "Yes, it turns out, yes, there's a reason. So, when we had the premiere of the Deathly Hallows 1, we were almost finished with the filming of Part 2, as I was giving a toast at the dinner table, I couldn't. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the family that I had over the years. So..." Tom shook his head as everyone listened carefully, "We're coming back for one final movie of Harry Potter!" he announced and the both of us flinched as the crowd went wild.
"I knew it!" Ellen said standing up and cheering with the audience, she is a Potterhead. We talked for another hour and she turned the last question to Tom.
"Now, we heard, Tom, the last scene, the - the one where Olivia dies..." I saw Tom tighten his hand into a fist. I held his hand and listened to Ellen, "So, is it true that those were real emotions?"
"Yeah" Tom replied sadly, "I have known Y/N for 23 years of my life and it - it was horribly terrifying to see her die in my arms and there was nothing I could do, so all of those emotions just came out. Y/N is a brilliant actress, amazing, so it felt so real instead of reel that my heart just broke, I remember telling Y/N, how I was dreading it" he said and looked at me, "I can never imagine what I'd do without my Shorty"
I hope you don't have to...
