Marinette's POV:
The more I thought about it, the less it made sense to hide that we're together. If me and Adrien are together now and Ladybug and Chat Noir are together later, it would be a stretch to assume we're the same people.
I'm kissing him in front of the whole cafeteria.
Everyone is looking but I don't care. We both pull away.
"I'm not ashamed of you."
He smiles like a dumbass. A cute dumbass.
We sort of awkwardly walk over to our lunch table where everyone's mouths are wide open.
"Just friends my ass!"
Me and Adrien laugh as he grabs my hand under the table.
Luka walks over and sits down next to Nino.
"Hey Luka!"
"Hey Mari."
Adrien and I get up to get our food then sit back down.
"Hey girl, wanna go to the movies later?"
"Sure, wanna come too?"
I turn to Adrien.
"I'll be there."
"Great! I've always wanted to go on a double date!"
Adrien eats most of his lunch and I offer him a smile in place of a "good job!" or "I'm proud of you."
We get through the rest of the school day and all meet up in the front of the school.
"Alright dudes, the movie starts in 2 hours. You two better not be late."
"No problem, Nino. Bye guys!"
We start walking to Adrien's car when a villain flies in front of us and onto the building then stares into my fucking soul.
"Marinette! You took Adrien from me! He will be mine!"
"What the fuck?"
I just stare at the villain.
Holy shit.
"Adrien, is that Lila??"
"Oh my God."
He quickly pushes me into his car and locks it from the outside.
"Stay here. I promise I'll keep you safe."
For a second I forgot he was Chat Noir.
He runs off and a second later, Chat uses his staff to get closer to the villain. He leads Lila away from me and I sigh in relief before freaking the fuck out.
Holy shit, I'm Ladybug.
I open my purse and Tikki flies out.
"Tikki, what do I do??"
She gives me a look like I'm stupid before phasing though the door and unlocking it.
"What would I do without you?"
"Definitely not what you're about to do."
She smiles and I giggle before transforming.
"Tikki, spots on!"
I use my yoyo to find Chat and Lila. They're fighting on top of a building, but she strikes him and he starts to fall down the side of the structure.
I catch him with my yoyo and bring him to me.
"Long time no see, Kitty Cat."
"Pleasure as always, m'lady."
"Any idea where the akuma is?"
"Not really, I've mostly just been getting her away from her target."
An opportunity.
"Target? What target?"
"Her name is Marinette, but she's safe."
He smiled and blushed a little when he said my name.
"You're a bit red, Kitty. Do you have a crush on this target?"
Lila attacks us and my plan to tease him is cut short.
We fight her until we figure our where her akuma is.
I devise a plan and we defeat her.
"Bye bye, little butterfly!"
I throw my lucky charm into the air and turn around.
"Pound it!"
"Pound it!"
"Alright, I have to get going, bugaboo! See you next ti-"
I grab his tail so he can't leave.
"Don't you think we should celebrate this victory, Kitty?"
"I need to make sure Marinette is okay."
"I'm sure she's fine."
I walk towards him and wrap my arms around his neck.
"What are you doing, Ladybug?"
"Are you saying you don't want me to kiss you, Chat Noir?"
He hesitates and leans in just a hair.
"N-No! I have a girlfriend!"
He's so good.
"You also have pictures of me in your room so don't act like you don't want this."
His breathing is unsteady and he doesn't know what to do.
It's kinda adorable watching him struggle.
I put my hand on his cheek and kiss him once then pull away. He tried to kiss me again but I don't let him.
"You should probably go see if your little girlfriend, Marinette is okay."
I tease him by flicking his bell.
"Bye Kitty."
I yoyo to Adrien's car and get inside before locking the doors.
Nobody's around so I de-transform in his car and give Tikki a cookie before closing my purse.
"Marinette- Are you okay??"
Adrien's POV:
"Yes I'm okay."
She smiles as she hugs me and guilt washes over my shoulders.
When I was with Ladybug, I could have sworn I was with Marinette. They look and act exactly a like which is probably why I fell in love with both of them.
I only kissed Ladybug because I thought she was Marinette. I swear. If I knew they weren't the same person, I wouldn't have kissed her even if I wanted to, which I kinda did. Fuck.
The kiss was amazing. Just like it is with Marinette. They taste the same.
I get to my car as fast as I can as Adrien in order to catch Ladybug de-transforming into hopefully my girlfriend, but when I get there Marinette is just patiently waiting for me. She's out of breath. She was probably so scared and I was out kissing another girl.
How do I tell her?
"So what happened? Did you and Ladybug de-akumatize Lila?"
"Yes, don't worry. You're safe."
She gets out of the car since she was in the back seat and walks around to the passenger side.
"Did anything happen?"
Fuck, did she see me? There's no way, it was half way across the city.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know, something exciting. Maybe something worth mentioning, you are a super hero, something cool must have happened."
"Nope! Nothing! Nothing at all! Haha!"
"Oh okay, can you drop me off at my house? I wanna get ready for the movies."
"So early?"
"Yup, I wanna look good."
"You always look good, bug- inette! Buginette!"
Get your shit together, Agreste.
I drive us to Marinette's house and park my car.
"Thanks Kitty!"
She kisses my cheek and gets out of the car.
"I'll see you at the movies."
Wait, what?
"Am I not coming in?"
"Nope!"
She smiles then slams the door before disappearing into her house.
What the hell.
She definitely knows I kissed someone else.
Marinette's POV:
"Marinette! Aren't you upset that Adrien kissed Ladybug??"
"Nope, I'm Ladybug."
"But he doesn't know that!"
"I don't know Tikki. I went back and forth between Adrien and Chat, I can't exactly get mad at him especially when he kept insisting on seeing Marinette. I was the one who kissed him."
"I'm gonna tell him eventually so why not have some fun now?"
She rolls her eyes and giggles.
We eat some cookies together then I start getting ready for the movies.
I put on my jean shorts that have a vintage vibe to them. I pair it with white ankle socks and my black converse. I add a black belt and a black cropped tank top that shows off my collar bones.
I stand in front of my bathroom mirror and let my hair down. I brush it out as I remember Adrien washing my hair in the bathtub.
I do my makeup as usual but add some eyeliner and dark red lip gloss.
I know the movie theater is a pretty long walk so I grab my things and head out.
