Personality: Avis is a determined and headstrong girl. She's very much set in her ways and she's devoted to achieving great things. She's a bit ambitious and isn't the kind of person to let anyone stand in her way. She can be quite feisty and tends to be known for her snide remarks. She's also extremely competitive and prideful. However, she's resilient in the face of adversity and she's the kind of person who always seems to persevere. She's a bit closed off upon first meeting and while she does have a bad habit of being impulsive and rushing into things, she does generally do her best to assess the situations presented to her. She's intelligent, after all, and a quick learner. Though, as one truly gets to know her, Avis can be a thoughtful person, and perhaps a bit overprotective. She may be set on achieving greatness, but if she cares for someone, she'd put everything aside for them. She does have a caring side if you're lucky enough to see it, and she does like to joke around a lot. Also, given her temper, it doesn't take much to make her flustered or peeved. She's pretty expressive and she's not afraid to put you in your place. After all, in her mind she runs the roost.

Backstory: Avis was born in Trishanakru, and lived the first half of her childhood in a fairly normal way. She was four when her parents realized she was a natblida and they simply attempted to keep it hush about their daughter's unique blood. After years of struggling to conceive, Avis was a symbol of hope for them. They couldn't afford to lose her. However, when she was almost seven, her blood was discovered after an accident in camp whilst training with some of the younger kids. Her parents feigned innocence and were never suspected of having known Avis' blood type. But that didn't stop her from being taken to Polis. Avis has been residing in Polis and training under the watch of the flamkeepas. She's caught on quickly and her strongest weapon remains the sword. Being one of the oldest natblidas, she feels like she runs the roost a bit, even if that is a bit ego-centric. She knows she's skilled and she's not afraid to show it. However, when Luka arrived to Polis, his skill threatened her already long established authority. Perhaps she was intimidated by his skill, despite not having trained alongside them. He was an awfully late addition. The two became quick rivals and Avis isn't afraid to take him down a size if she has to.
